I just got home from this taco Mac. We ordered wings, salad, a wrap, and a burger. We also had two appetizers: fried pickle chips and spinach and artichoke dip. The wings were great- Meaty, jumbo wings. The sauce was pleasantly sweet, but with a good kick. (I didn't pay attention to what sauce we were ordering, because I didn't intend to eat any of them. Just didn't want that one last wing to go to waste.) The apps were on point- fried pickle chips with ranch is just fantastic. The bread for the spinach and artichoke dip was a bit - stale? But the chips were what we really wanted with the dip anyway, so it was fine. They had blackberry sweet tea, which everyone really liked! I didn't get it, but everyone that had it said it was delicious. I ordered a build-your-own burger and asked for my usual 6 strips of bacon. Unfortunately, they only made the burger with 2, so I had to wait an extra 6-7 minutes for another 4 strips to be made. Thankfully, my burger didn't go cold- but it wasn't hot. The chili cheese tots I got as the side to my burger were very good. White queso with three bean chili and topped with a 3-cheese blend. Great stuff! This place has some of the worst service I've ever seen. Once you're seated, no one comes by until 15-20mins later. Then after you order, expect another 30mins. The servers don't seem to care or check up on you at all. The manager was also horrible. I had to ask the front person twice about my order and they said that our server was literally putting our food on the tray to bring out as we speak, yet I can literally see our server talking to other tables. Complete lie. When the manager came out, he didn't even apologize for the wait or anything. It was constant excuses. Won't be coming back. Need better servers and a better manager too. read more

Sadly this hamburger was a poor excuse for a burger. It did not look like the picture on the menu and in fact it was a partial burger. It appeared to be half eaten. Taco Mac used to have the best boneless wings in THE GAME, but they've since changed their recipe and now they are trash. What used to be plump white meat chicken with soft breading now look like random scraps of chewy chicken meat with a thin layer of hard crust on the outside. They also changed their french fries to something you would find at Checkers/Rally's. They claim that it's more meat and less breading but that isn't true. They just lowered their quality but still charge the high price. Not worth $20 and I'm never going back. read more

This one is hidden if you don't pay attention. I am a Taco Mac fan and they did not disappoint. The exterior is not as festive as other locations. This is why it can be easily overlooked. Stopped in for a small bite & even had dessert. My server was Brian and he was AMAZING! The mozzarella sticks here are BOMB! Yes. I said it. I can't tell you how many times I've been here and not tried them. It wasn't until the grand opening in McDonough that I was brought up to speed. They're perfectly breaded and filled with tons of cheese. The mozzarella literally strings after the first bite. Wow. Jam packed with flavor. 5 come in a serving and you WILL be full. These bad boys are HUGE. Lastly I had to see if the chocolate stout pie. This creamy confection is a slice of heaven on earth. The whipped stout center covered in chocolate ganache layered over a pretzel crust is everything. Don't take my word. Try it out! I ordered the chicken philly with a side of sweet potato fries. I normally order it on a brioche bun but this time I ordered the hoagie bun. I prefer the brioche bun since it's less breading but the hoagie is more traditional. The flavors on the philly are great and I kept everything on it and ate it as is. The fries are cooked perfectly and are even good cold, which I find it hard for most fries. I also had a some boneless lemon pepper wings and they were very meaty and had great flavor. read more

Now they have abandoned another favorite, their Apple, Cranberry & Pecan Salad in favor of some far less interesting shoices. I did try the new chicken sandwich and was not impressed. The chicken salad was not very flavorful and the bun was dry. All that having been said, our server was great and the beer was good. Walking into the place it was a very friendly, rustic, and welcoming restaurant. We managed to get a seat in one of the booths near the bar and under a plentiful amount of flatscreens with a variety of games to watch. The waiter quickly came over and took our order down. The wait time for the food however was longer than we expected. That was the main and only complaint that we've had. The place wasn't busy at all, but the wait time almost reached an 1 hour long wait for our order. When the food did come we were ready to dig in. We ordered a 10 wings half hot half barbecue, a buffalo signature burger, and steak fajita tacos. Buffalo Signature Burger - The burger itself was a decent sized, meat to bun ratio was a bit off, I would have preferred a bit more bun. The romaine lettuce was crisp along with the red onion, the red tomato was a bit stringy but kept a nice moisture to the rest of the burger. The blue cheese crumbles weren't overpowering and kept a simple spread of flavor with the chipotle sauce, so overall, it was a very pleasant meal. One complaint-- the medium-rare meat was a tad weak and fell apart rather easily. Out of 10, I'd give the burger a 8.7. Steak Fajita Tacos - The tacos came in 3 decently sized tacos that would leave you to the full sense of fullness not to leave you bloated. Overall each taco was super juicy. Probably the pick de gallo was a bit watery and made my tortilla a bit soggy. I took one bite and all the juices exploded and was really drippy. the grilled steak in the Taco was really tender. overall I would rate these Steak Fajita Tacos 7/10. It wasn't the best taco i had and it definitely was not the worse. i'd fuck my taco but overall would i would definitely get these tacos again whenever I'm craving tacos. Wings - The wings had a nice crisp crunch with a generous amount of sauce on each piece. The barbecue sauce was Sweet Baby Ray's and you can't go wrong with that. The heat level of the hot sauce was low enough for you to taste it, but not feel it. An amount of 10 is perfect for a single person as it leaves you feeling full with room for their amazing oven baked mac n' cheese. During my visit on 13th February 2023 at 7:15 pm, I was disturbed to see a dog being allowed to stand on a table and being hand fed by the wait staff. This practice is not only unsanitary and unhygienic, but it also goes against basic health and safety regulations. In a food establishment, it is essential to maintain the highest level of cleanliness to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria. Allowing dogs on tables and allowing the wait staff to hand feed them directly goes against this principle. I asked to speak with the manager, and he said everything was fine with what the wait staff was doing. Also, the dog was not a service animal; even if it were, it shouldn't be standing on a table while being hand fed by the wait staff. Service animals are trained not to expect food while in restaurants. I will NEVER EVER visit that restaurant (or any Taco Mac restaurants) again. read more

I'm really not trying to write a bad review about every Taco Mac that I visit, but it's getting really hard not to. This was my first time at this location and I hoping to have some great food because my friends always mention this is one of their favorite locations. Well, almost the entire experience was terrible. FOOD|| First off, we ordered queso and got only salsa. Another 15 minutes go by before the queso came. For entrees, my friends and I all ordered 10 piece wings each. 3 out of 4 of us got a few tiny baby chicken wings. I even counted my wings to see if I got 11 or 12 in total to compensate, but nope. I also didn't get my ranch sauce, but I really didn't want it enough to even bother asking because I knew I'd be done eating by the time I got it. Upside to the wings - seasoned with a generous amount of lemon pepper. SERVICE|| The service was almost nonexistent. I saw our waitress about 3 times. She kept saying she'd come back with xyz, but never did. I got my glass of water about 45 minutes after we sat down when she mentioned she'd bring it over at the beginning of the meal. Everything she did had a minimum 15 minute wait time. We had to find her for our check, she had to come back to mark off the queso, and we had to wait for her to come back. I felt like I was sitting there for a good 20-30 minutes just waiting for her to come back. I also think there is poor organization of the restaurant as multiple servers came over to bring us items that we did not order. We had appetizers and entrees brought over three times. This place is the worst. I ordered the three tacos from uber eats, and ended up with super salty, dried, charcoal tasting meat that seemed to have been sitting out previously cause it was super old. I had high hopes for them but it seems like I was let down again, and I really wanted to love this place. Not only was the meat bad, but all they did was throw some giant chunk white onions on top, and give me a side of red onions and two dried up limes. It looked nothing like it was supposed to and they left out a ton of ingredients that were supposed to come with the tacos. Taco Mac is a cool little spot across town although this Taco Mac is always an interesting experience. The wait staff is very young so sometimes the experience is just ok. Sometimes the food comes out cold and sometimes it takes a long time for the wait staff to tend to you. Ive visited this Taco Mac a few times. As for the food Tac Macs food is decent bar and finger foods. The wings are great, the beer is great too with many options. If you love beer try this place. New to Atlanta so Taco Mac is a first for me. Service was stellar thanks to Christopher. He was attentive and knew the menu well. The food was a whole different story. Service: 5/5 Food: 3/5 In my short time here, I've heard a lot about Taco Mac. One of my husband's coworkers has over 1000 beer points here - a true Taco Mac fan. And so it seemed only natural that we spontaneously decided to pop on over for a Thursday dinner. Knowing absolutely nothing about this chain previously, Christopher really helped to fill in the gaps. First of all, Taco Mac has over 100 beers on tap AND bottled. Woah. But that's only the tip of the iceberg. Each month they feature a different brewery (this month being Reformation), and on pint nights (Thursdays), they'll give you a collectable beer glass with the order of a beer from that brewery. And as if that doesn't convince you, they have an app called Brewniversity that accrues one point per different beer you try. You can redeem prizes with the points like t-shirts and lifetime upgrades from 12oz to16oz beers. Double points on Mondays and next week Nov 20-26th. Totally cool. The Duluth location was relatively crowded on a Thursday night. The lights are dim, but it's lively and full of chatter, with many TV screens playing different sports games. There were many families here. There's even a game room by the restrooms with video games and claw machines. We were seated immediately in one of the booths. Christopher came by for a drink order and ended up bringing over beer samples for my partner to help him find something he liked. Everything was perfect up until this point. We waited nearly half an hour for the food to arrive. But the biggest disaster of all was that nearly EVERYTHING arrived barely warm like it'd been sitting out for that half hour. We ended up having to send the fries back which Christopher made sure to help us replace with fresh, hot fries. We went ahead with the lightly warmed chicken because we weren't trying to wait another half hour. We ordered: - 20pc wings ($19.99): Per 5 wings, you can choose a different flavor. We got (10) Hot buffalo, (5) Three Mile Island, (5) Korean Black Garlic (dry rub). My favorite was the Three Mile Island. It was the hottest of the three, but for someone who enjoys spicy foods, it was pretty mild. Some good flavors there. Hot buffalo is the same as you'd get in most other wing spots. I'm not a big fan of dry rub so the Korean Black Garlic didn't appeal too much to me. - Mexican street corn: Highly recommend. For some reason, our side dishes were the only thing on the plate that was warm. Lightly charred sweet corn with spice, lime, cheese, butter, and mayo. Even my partner who doesn't usually like corn enjoyed it. - Fries: Best when fresh. - Cheesecake ($5.99): Comes with strawberry sauce but I ordered it without. Light and creamy cheesecake with a cinnamon/nutmeg (?) crust. Yum. Before we left, I noticed a little sign on the table with a phone number that urged you to text the President & CEO, Greg, with your thoughts. I did so halfheartedly, not knowing if he would respond. Sports bar with plenty of TVs. Dining room is divided into the bar side and the rest of the seating and the have a large room you can reserve for groups. They also have two patios (smoking and non-smoking). Good menu with salads, burgers, wraps, sandwiches, tacos (obviously) and other American fare. Food is good and prices are reasonable.
