This place is in the neck of the woods or maybe it was my gps that got me doing circles. I was here with a couple of friends, only because they wanted chicken wings. Like always i usually order the hot wings. Service was fast and food came out pretty quick. The hot wings were crispy and dry. They have already shrunken in size, it's no longer called buffalo wings but more like pigeon wings. Mind you, it was deep fried and slathered in hot sauce. The hot sauce was decent, i prefer my wings baked, but it would have taken longer. Another experience, I was on a date with a Taco Mac addict. He kept telling me how awesome this place is and they have prizes for different beers. lol The more beers you order from the prize menu, the higher in prize you get. At the top of the prize was just a t shirt. He drank through 3 different beers on one occasion, some of them were gross. The date ended up in a tragic way. We both were bored. lol All these tv surrounding us couldn't make it anymore exciting. On top of that we missed a PPV boxing match which they didn't have. All the other local bars had the PPV boxing match except here. They were thrifty buying PPV, but would have made thousands that night if they did purchase it. read more

Psst. They serve great wings here.... I am a fan of the T-Mac from my days in A-Town. This place has over three hundred beers to satisfy your belly. The wings are some of the best I have ever had in Atlanta. Wings are not healthy for you but sure tasty here and fairly good size. This chain is local to Atlanta so next time you are in town stop by and give it a try. I had a great time here watching the Superbowl between the Patriots and Giants. Taco Mac wings suck! Go to buffalo wild wings. I thought it was just one time when the wings sucked, but I went a couple more times and they all SUCKED. I always get TMI, and it always comes out really cold, stale, and too salty. The first time I tried it, it was really good, but it has gone downhill. Wings at pizza hut are even better than these taco mac wings. If I go to Taco mac again for any reason, I'll most likely get something else (non-wings) with beer. Service tends to be okay, but not amazing. Just your average sports bar with sucky wings. read more

Beer, beer, and more beer. Taco Mac has over 100 beers on tap, and even more bottled. They're always rotating stuff out due to the changing seasons, so I don't think its possible to actually sample every beer they have - though I've always liked a challenge. Currently, they have a variety of Oktoberfest-themed beers, so I'm happy as can be. This particular location recently moved to its current building for greater capacity. I like this one because even though it gets busy, I don't think its ever as chaotic as the Perimeter and Lindbergh locations. In fact, I don't believe I've ever had to wait for a table. Televisions are everywhere, so you can catch just about any sporting event that is on at the moment. The menu consists of your typical sports bar food - nachos, burgers, wings, etc. The quality of service can vary, but for a local, neighborhood restaurant I suppose that can be expected. Its not an abomination to the service industry, but realize that you're not at a Rathbun's or Sotto Sotto. The service here suffices for where you are. read more

Just got a to-go order and it was terrible. I ordered the boneless TMI and my boyfriend ordered bone-in mango chili dry rub, both extra crispy. The wings were not only cold, but came with a pile of dry rub in the to-go wing box. I am not one to complain or even write a review, but unfortunately this experience got worse. The fries were cold and soggy and the side of celery hadn't been washed because we found dirt all over the sticks, which by the way were wrapped in paper inside the wing box. In general, this Taco Mac has decent service at the ordinary tables, but I'm often coming here with big groups. If you come with a big group, AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!! They only assign one server/waitress to a table in the group room (for a group of size 20+). The ordering takes 20 minutes alone. Your drink refill will take about 20-30 minutes. The food comes out pretty slow. My main knock is that they really should assign 2-3 people to a group that big, especially if they make gratuity a mandatory 18%. Other than that, it's a normal Taco Mac in terms of its food quality and ambiance. read more

Every other Wing places I try, it always makes me to think of Taco Mac's TMI sauce. It's normally what makes me to come back. I do order them with medium sized wings as sometimes they have very big ones with under cooked wings on plate. so make sure to look out for them if you see very very large ones on your plate. read more

This place has been very "hit or miss." Sometimes it's a "one star restaurant", and sometimes it's a "five." I'll support this by way of example: Bad experience: We walk in, get seated after a long wait, and then wait roughly twenty minutes to even have a drink order taken. Our food arrives after what seems to be an eternity. We are then forgotten about. We didn't see another staff member for roughly forty minutes. I wish I was exaggerating. When our waitress finally reappears, I ask what the deal is... No real answer. She brings us drink refills, and promptly spills a tray of drinks all over our table. Luckily our food had long since been eaten. She then proceeds to laugh at her mistake and asks if we want to move. We move, and are forgotten about again. INSANE. The trip ends with a conversation with the manager and and bad memories. Good experience: Prompt service, fantastic food, a few drinks comped by the waitress... Just because, and a wonderful time. In summary: I don't know what makes the distinction, but the trip is either going to be really good or really disappointing. In fairness, it's usually really good.... Usually. If it's late and you want beer, wings, and/or a philly, maybe you'll get lucky. read more

I went to Taco Mac tonight for a beer and some wings... Now, I've been going to Taco Mac (various locations) since the mid-eighties. The Virginia Highlands location was a favorite haunt when I was in college... Further background - I'm also a fairly accomplished home brewer and attend 3-4 beer festivals annually - I like to think I know a little bit about beer. Tonight I went to one of the "corporate stores", the one in Duluth. Are they ALL corporate now? but I digress... I ordered a DuckRabbit 'Hoppy Bunny' which they had listed as a 'new arrival' and which they categorized on the menu as an IPA. The bartender brings me a pint of beer that looks darker than Guinness... I try it, and then ask about the IPA descriptor?!?! The bartender (John) proceeds to defend their categorization and explains (I kid you not) that 'it is an ale', and I quote: 'ale is the same thing as IPA'. He proceeded to begin to give me a longer lecture on beer style while I sat there, open mouthed, in disbelief... When I looked up the beer in question on the brewer's site and on Beer Advocate it is plainly listed as an American Black Ale on both. There is no way anyone who knows beer would ever call this a "Pale Ale" of any kind - it was simply WAY too dark black in color (practically opaque). I had based my decision to order this beer on the menu description (IPA) and the fact that I have never tired it before... The bartender was unrepentant and never offered to make it right, never offered a replacement. He finally said something factious like "well if you say so, you must be right" and tried to convince my neighbors at the bar that I was the uniformed, trouble maker. Could it really be the corporate policy to argue with customers and try to make them out to be "the jerk" - when the customer is clearly not happy with the beer he has been served. I simply wanted something in the broad category that I thought I had chosen from? That's not to mention that the menu was dead wrong - and probably still is! I walked out. It might have been my last trip to any Taco Mac... I'll probably miss their wings... but it's healthier not to eat that fried crap anyway - I'll save the calories for good beer! read more

Didn't take a pic of the food here but it was really good. It held up the Taco Mac reputation for the quality and consistency of the food. The service was good as well eventhough it seemed a little short staff. Can't remember the server's name but he took great care of us despite being so busy. If you've never worked in the food industry as a server than you'll never know what it's like so thanks for the management for hiring someone who does a good job despite the pressure that comes with hungry impatient people who may sometimes that think food can be made and prepared with the snap of a finger. Whoever that server was deserves a raise eventhough we left a good tip. read more

Ok, I've got to hand it to Taco Mac - I never thought I'd say this about a sports bar, but wow, this was an excellent meal (with equally good service). We started off with the Sweetwater 420 Beer Bread Bites, which included a delicious creamy swiss cheese dip. The bread bites were yeasty, as advertised and were reminiscent of a donut in texture and consistency. Paired with the cheese dip... how do I put this... heaven. I would come back to Taco Mac for this alone. For our entrees, we had the Double Decker Mac and Cheese Burger (minus pickled jalapeno) and a 10-piece order of boneless buffalo chicken with "3-Mile Island" wing sauce. Okay, so... the burger. If you closed your eyes, and took a bite out of this burger, you'd swear it was from Burger King (not necessarily a complaint, because I just so happen to like Burger King's burgers). I'd have to wonder if the pickled jalapeno was really a key integral component to this burger. Anyways, though very tasty, the mac and cheese element kind of got lost in the burger. The boneless buffalo wings were under-sauced. Way under-sauced. Nevertheless, they offered "swimming wings" or a side of extra sauce for another .50¢. Though I'm sure this would solve the problem, I don't like being nickeled and dimed for something they should have done in the first place. Still, this is only a very minor complaint. Sauces/rubs offered with the chicken are as follows (in ascending order of heat): lemon-pepper rub, mild, medium, hot, 3-mile island, habanero BBQ, and death. The little bit of 3-mile island that was on our chicken wasn't too spicy, in my opinion - maybe if I had more sauce, I'd get the full effect. The French fries that accompanied our burger and chicken were seasoned very well. We held on to our remaining cheese dip from our bread bites appetizer to dip our fries into. Yum. To wash down all of that food, I ordered one of the literally dozens of beers available on tap - as it was hot outside today, I chose a Kolsch-style - light and refreshing. My wife had a hard cider (which is absolutely amazing when on tap). I was very impressed by Taco Mac's beer selection. Finally, our service. The waitress was a pro. She got our orders in quickly, tended to our every need, and was unobtrusive. Very well done. Even after ordering a s'mores brownie to-go (which I have yet to try), the bill only amounted to about $50. Not bad at all for three alcoholic drinks, an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert. read more

I ended up meeting some friends here earlier today to watch Georgia defeat Florida (much to my disappointment). They had already been hanging out for about an hour before I could meet them and they thoughtfully had a beer waiting for me... I swear our server looked just like Jack Black and we even took his picture because of the close similarity... the chicken wings were great and my Bud Lights were always cold and served before I really needed another. I'm new to the Taco Mac franchise (moving down to GA from Chicago), but my first experience at the one in Duluth was fantastic. I went and sat at the bar and the bartenders were both fantastic. Very friendly and engaging, more than willing to talk with a new transplant to the area and give me some advice, opinions on good food, etc. I had a great time talking with my bartenders and will definitely head back there when I finish my move to the area so I can go talk with them again. I went there because I wanted a good beer selection and good wings and this location did not disappoint. About 100 or so beers on tap, an additional 200 or so bottles (some repeats of course, but still) and some really solid wings led to a great evening. If you like trying out new beers and love wings, I definitely recommend. If you plan on going more than once, sign up for their Brewniversity and get credit towards future beer! It's free (well, they get your contact information but no money other than the beer you spend there) and a good excuse to continue trying new beers. I'm soon to be a new transplant to the Atlanta area and I already know that this will be one of my regular haunts. read more

Well, I wish I would've checked yelp before this trip... I was not expecting a wing bar! They have over 40 beers on tap, if that's your bag. There menu is fairly common bar food: wings, burgers, salads, nachos and a small Tex-Mex section. My SIL and I shared some chicken fajitas. First the portion size was quite large and the food was sizzling hot. They tasted pretty good. So, by now you're wondering: why the heck 2 stars? Well, the service was S L O W. Naema was a wonderful server and the hostess was very friendly. We did not experience any issues with the service. Naema even brought us a complimentary dessert for a birthday we were celebrating. The environment of this Taco Mac inside is just like many others and we had no problems there. Our biggest issue was the size of the wings! It's been a few months since we went to a Taco Mac and we have never had wings so tiny until this visit. I am not sure if tiny wings are a normal thing at this location or if it's a new Taco Mac company wide thing. However, in our past experiences at Taco Mac Decatur, we always have had bigger wings. This has become my go-to Taco Mac location. They're all over the area, as you probably know. This and the Prado location are my favorites because I have received consistently good service. I come to TM for two things: wings and beer. I do not order anything else from the menu, aside from the occasional queso with tortillas. On the wings and beer front, they really deliver. My favorite wing flavors are the traditional hot buffalo and the habanero BBQ. I usually request the buffalo "swimming" (extra sauce). I don't know why, but there's never as much sauce on them as the other flavors. The habanero BBQ is spicy and sweet; not nearly as hot as you might expect. One of the biggest problems I've had with Taco Mac in the past is beer not getting registered to my Brewniversity card when I visit. I enjoy the program, but when I finally noticed a lot of waiters weren't getting it right, it put a real damper on things. I don't want to think about how many beers I've missed getting credit for since joining the club in 2009. Again, this spot and the Prado seem to be better about that. Lastly, we noticed a new reward was added to Brewniversity since all of us had gotten our cards. Our waiter, Don (who was excellent, by the way) had the manager come over and get our info so he could send us our missing rewards. Now that's excellent customer service. read more

Went here for lunch with coworkers. I do understand that they have a small game room in the back. However, when a lady decided to bring 4 kids and have a birthday party at a taco Mac, management should do something to talk to the mother about screaming kids who were basically using the back of the restaurant as a basketball court. They were screaming and playing so loud during our entire lunch and no one at the restaurant bothered to remediate this situation about the rowdy kids. My boss got so mad at the management's lack of action that he basically told him "if u are going to have shit like this going on in the back, don't seat people so close to it or do something about it" Although the mother is truly the one to blame for not having any kind of control over these kids, for the restaurant to act blind to it is another thing. We were beginning to frequent this place lately but we will probably never dine here again. read more

We like this location, though most TM's do really well on their consistency/quality of food. Only concern was that our very pleasant (I may add) waitress wasn't terribly well versed with alcoholic beverage selections, which most servers usually share more knowledge and personal opinion on. Unfortunately things have gotten worse as far as the food is concerned since my last visit if that was possible. I used to clump Taco Mac in with Buffalo Wild Wings and other mediocre sports bars until recently, when I found it that it was a local chain. The beer menu is huge(100+) and all the food I've tried has been mediocre at WORST. Most of it is pretty good. Above-average wings, decent burgers and the fish tacos are actually pretty damn good. They batter their fish in house with Sweetwater 420 which gives them a flakiness unreasonable to expect from a place like this. Service is hit or miss and though I've had more bad than good, i always end up here for big games when the place is packed. Each booth has it's own TV and there are ample TVs for the tables that don't. Still feels weird writing a review for Taco Mac but I genuinely love watching games here. Spotty service is the only complaint I have. read more

Poorly managed and a disgrace to the original Taco Mac. This is the worst of the new corporate stores. Pre-cooked chicken wings that are consistently dry. Tonight's queso app was a long wait and served barely warm... the meal took even longer! Dry grilled chicken nachos, cold fries and like I said... dry refried chicken wings... We gave up on this location months ago after several bad meals and a rude employee manager incident with my mother in law and daughter on their own visit Tonight, we gave it another try to see if any improvements had been made. Obviously not. All of the charm of the original mom and pop feel and exceptional food that used to be served at the once great Atlanta institution is gone... This could be Chili's or Applebee's..which if you prefer would be better! Otherwise the Suwanee location would be a better visit. read more

Came here with my daughter and some friends. Staff was kind of nonchalant . Girl came up and took our order no introduction. .. fine I guess. So we order our appetizer and waters... she brings the appetizer back.. slides it across the table and disappears. Random guy comes says he'll be our new waiter our old waitress went home?? .. still don't know his name so I ask.. he tells me John :) This guy is much better, either better seasoned as a waiter or knows how to keep his moods to himself. Either way 10 mins later the waitress we had before with attitude walks past serving another table... wtf? Idk if I should be offended or what but fine. That left me feeling some type of way. Anyway. I had the grilled swiss chicken sandwich. Bun was cold. Sandwich was pretty dry. Had to add my own dressing. Daughters meal looked decent. Big chicken tenders and nice steamed broccoli. Ummm atmosphere was okay. Taco Mac... didn't really make me feel welcome. Might try a different one from now on or an entirely different establishment. read more

I love craft beer, so Taco Mac is the perfect place for me. I usually try to go on Thursday's because those are "Pint Nights" at the restaurant. Beer prices are a bit on the high side, but there's so many to choose from that you can definitely find a beer in your desired price range. The food at this particular Taco Mac is great. I love to get their "Nachos All The Way" and share them with my wife along with some hot wings. Plenty of televisions broadcasting your favorite teams. Plenty of seating. Parking is never really an issue, although sometimes you're a bit further away than others. Overall I'm pleased with this location and I'll continue to come back for more. After all, gotta work on my Brewniversity degree! read more

Of all the Taco Mac's, this location is probably my favorite one. Although Perimeter Taco Mac is good as well. The parking at this Taco Mac is easy and never have had an issue...probably cause it's up in the 'burbs. There are plenty of TV's and the staff is usually pretty upbeat and easy to deal with. The beers are plentiful and the wings are glorious. If you are ever way up I-85 or Peachtree Industrial, it's prob the one spot you can count on to watch a game. read more
