This location is terrible as far as the wait goes. I put in an order online and when I went to pick it up they said something like there system was messed up and they had order missing.(ok not a big deal I guess it happens)So they tell me that they will get started on it right away and it should be only 5 minutes or so.I ended up waiting 30 minutes for them to make 10 wings and fries.That's the first time they pissed me off. Second time I took a doordash order that was a decent size and so when they told me they were still working on it which I understood cuz it was kind of a big order. I tell the girl who looks like Wednesday adams from the adams family the name on the order and she writes it on a notepad.So 20 minutes after that I go to the restroom come back and end of waiting around 25 more minutes.Finally I get fed up and I ask the kid who was there instead of the girl to check if the order was ready.He proceeds to pull it right out from the the stand that they stay next to!! I'm thinking what the hell???how long was this done I've been waiting all this time and it was done when I went to the restroom. I get that I left for a bit but she never tells the new person who took over her job what orders they were waiting on.This place takes wayyyyyy too long to make simple food like wings.They need more people in the kitchen and they need people on the floor who aren't clueless.If you work doordash you might wanna call and make sure the order your picking up is done because they will make you wait so long you will lose out on tons of money.No matter what's on the order you probably will have to wait they made me wait 20 minutes another time for mozzarella sticks,chips and dip, and fries. I don't know why this place received low ratings because my visit was superb! My family already had a table so my boyfriend and I met with them. We arrived around 9:30 PM to celebrate after my college graduation. We had a table of 7. I ordered a strawberry lemonade while everyone else ordered a water. I would list all of our orders but that would take days on end. We ordered the half hot and half teriyaki wings with tots and an extra extra side of ranch. (The ranch was awesome btw!!) I ordered the black bean burger with pepper jack cheese and a side of fries with of course ranch! Our server was very attentive and always asked us how everything was and if we needed anything. I didn't even need to ask for a refill and she came over with another drink for me. Forgot my hat (brand new 35.00 hat) bartender and manager said it was locked up when I called the same evening. Went back the next evening and it had vanished. I understand I shouldn't have left it. The issue I have is they said it was secure in the back managers office and now it cant be found and they just shrug their shoulders. Returning for lunch pick up and trying something new: southern fried catfish. Fried catfish, to a southern food rookie like me, was only a dish you heard about on Food Network (my dude Guy Fieri) or see in music videos, so no clear benchmark for me to judge. I ordered 2 burgers for delivery from GrubHub and by the time the food got here it was cold however, it was awesome! The bacon was nice and crisp and the burger was perfectly cooked (med-well)! I honestly don't have any complaints and would definitely recommend if you're looking for something consistently good! This is my FIRST and LAST time order or eat at this place. I ordered through the YOUR website. Not through Grub hub, not through Uber Eats, and NOT through Door Dash. The Website gave me the Order #: 518755441 Order Total: $45.18 to be delivered. I sat here and waited. It gave me a 1:08 delivery time so I decided to call at 12:55 because I haven't gotten a text message on the ETA. Clarissa answered the phone and i asked about my food she said the food has been sitting there and no driver picked up. So I assuming they had their own driver since i ordered on their site and it had no info on who was delivering so I said Okay i'll wait. So after a minute something didn't sit right so I called back and asked same person who answered how long the food has been sitting there.. she said it was sitting there for 30 minutes and went silent. I told her I didn't want that food they kept saying I had to go through Door Dash. I didn't go THROUGH them i went through YOUR SITE. The manager also said they can't refund me because the order went through door dash. This is insane. I wanted to cancel this and he said "Oh you should be able to cancel it" I told him yet again I didn't order through Door Dash.... its like I had to repeat myself so many times.. he said he couldn't refund me at all. So I had to stop what I was doing to go pick up the food myself.. and they couldn't even refund me the Delivery fee that they charged me on their site. I also had to ask them to REMAKE the food since I had to pick i up. My boyfriend and I were on a long, strenuous road trip to Atlanta, when all we wanted was Mexican food. To our excitement, we see a "Taco Mac" sign. To which we prematurely assumed that they would serve...tacos. Taco Mac probably is a great place to eat. But they don't have tacos. It's a sports bar. So in conclusion, we went next door to "Mexican restaurant" which fulfilled our desires of Mexican food. I recommend Taco Mac to anyone who, in fact, does not want to eat tacos. read more

I have enjoyed eating Taco Mac for years and probably have eaten at most off them in Georgia at one time or the other. The Douglasville store as good as any..... Great Wings and normally great service. The only negative comment I have is that they seem to have less of a beer selection than most. Otherwise I do enjoy eating there. read more

Taco Mac in my opinion, is a place where you don't expect exceptional service. Few and far in-between I have received great service. It typically comes from the staff who have been there for a few years. My recommendation if you're not with a group of people just go to the bar. A few thumbs down is the lighting, its so dang dark there you can barely see the menu. The noise level is pretty high, the cause could be from the high ceilings and the concert flooring. They have an excellent choice of special drinks and a huge variety of beer. I really like there brewery university card. Overall You just come here for the food and beer. I typically order the fish tacos, that is my go to and its fab. They have changed up the sides a little bit throughout the years. I currently like the upgrade, hopefully they wont change it again. Recently I have tried the Shrimp gauc/cucumber wrap pretty dang tasty. I order baked zucchini which was pretty terrible, disappointed because I love zucchini, but it wont stop me from ordering it again. I feel like this place has always been a disaster and it always will be. I'm from the area, but moved away a few years ago and when I come in town my friends and I get together here because it's a centralized location. We were here a few days ago and the service and food quality is just as bad as it has been in the past. Our server was not the greatest. She even put in a double order of food thinking one of the girls I was with said that's what she wanted when in fact that was totally wrong. The server didn't even seem like she cared when my friend said this isn't what I ordered but due to time, my friend decided just to keep the wrong dish and eat it without further compliant. The food quality is bad here in my opinion. I've tried numerous things on the menu and have yet to be impressed by a single item. I feel like this place stays in business because it offers a sports bar type atmosphere where people can go hang out drink beer and watch a sports game. 'til 12 AM on Sat and 'til 10:30 PM on Sun. The Wings are my all-time favorite wings of any wings on this earth! They are big, juicy, cooked perfectly and there is a different sauce to meet everyone's need. They will also combine sauces for you if you'd like of put once sauce on the wings and give you a side of sauce that you can use to dunk your wings in and make your own flavor. I like BBQ and Mild. My BF likes Lemon Pepper and 3 Mile Hot. I get 10 or 20 pieces and can never eat more than 4-5 at a time because these are the biggest and best wings in town. Yeah I said it and I ain't scared either! I usually don't eat the fires because they are not hot enough for me when they reach the table. The celery is always good and crisp but I never finish it once I get home. The Chili was just okay to me. It wasn't bad but I've had much better. Hell, I've made much better. I thought I tasted vinegar and it had a little spicy kick to it. But I like my Chili to have more beef than beans. I decided to try the Chili because the smoke coming from the bowl that it was in was an indication that it was piping hot. And it was! I am yet to branch out to other Taco Macs, but I used to frequent this establishment quite a bit. What can I say? I've tried 3 dishes and they've all been very good. Not the best, but better than average, and honestly, better than I was expecting for "Bar food." Anyone who thinks Taco Mac is just a bar should really give it a try. They do have cheap beer, and it definitely has a bar setting (cover bands.. ugh.. TOO LOUD! keeping them from 5/5) but the appetizers and food are what keep me coming back. Dishes you should try: Wings (as the other reviewer said) Chicken fingers w/ or w/o buffalo wing sauce (ranch dipping sauce required either way.) Hamburgers, or house salads. It has the time posted on the door and when we walked in no one greeted us and everyone continued to ignore us for a good 2 minutes until I went up to a waitress to ask if they were still serving food. This Taco Mac is a little different from the other TMs, not bad, just different. The beer selection is much smaller (around 25 taps instead of 50 or more). The food is almost always good. The service is usually prompt and friendly. What keeps this TM from getting 5 stars (or 4). Its very much a sports bar. There are TVs everywhere and its usually very loud. The other TMs have TVs and sports but its not as overwhelming as at this location. Its almost always busy and later at night the music is very loud and often not great. I would have given the 3.75 stars but this isn't star search. I love the beer and the food but the noise (and somewhat more rowdy crowd) keep this place from ranking among my favorite Taco Macs. read more

Well, I went here a couple of times while doing an internship in the summer with CNN and it was one of the recommended places to eat "Mexican" food while I was in Georgia. Being that I am from Arizona and Mexican American, I know what Mexican food should be. First I am not saying that the food was terrible because it definitely was not, it was delicious but it was not the traditional Mexican food I am use to. So, with that said, I would let those expecting traditional Mexican food not too think that this is the place. With that all said that I have not other major issues. I am a huge fan of beer and taco Mac has a large selection which is great! The wings are absolutely delicious which is a plus since wings and beer are my favorite food. Last, the staff is great and very helpful. The environment of the place is great and having lot's of TV's especially when for games makes it a plus in my book and probably any other sports fans. When ever I am back in Georgia I would go back and drink a couple while enjoying the wings and a game. read more

Everything took a long time to arrive to the table. The server took at least 15 minutes to come back and pick up our payment. The restaurant was not busy. She spent the entire 15 minutes flirting with two guys at another table. We used to love the Midtown location of Taco Mac...but the service declined to the point where we decided never to return.
