4 stars from my friend, 2 stars from me because of poor vegetarian options. Nice lively place with slightly too bright lighting and tons of TVs. Was very disappointed in their vegetarian quesadilla which was basically the only vegetarian option. I was hoping for some beans for protein, but the black bean mentioned in the description was more like bean & corn salsa and the entire filling consisted of about a dozen beans mixed with a dozen corn kernels. Initially I was hoping to sub a scoop of straight black beans for different protein in a taco dish but they couldn't do that and now I understand why. The quesadillas were nicely cooked, but there was almost nothing inside of them & very little protein for a vegetarian If they offered straight black beans or refried beans as a protein option in their dishes, I would love the place. I just got home from easily the worst Taco Mac experience ever. We had a larger party, 12 folks. The restaurant was empty though except a few folks at the bar cause it was just after 10:00pm when we sat down we don't expect perfect, we know better, it's Douglasville Taco Mac and you take it for what it is. We all ordered drinks, and placed food orders right away, no appetizers. Most of us were done eating and 2 of our party had never gotten their meal at all. It's a burger and tacos ya'll! Our server, Gabby, started out pretty decent, but by the time we got second drink ordering, she was spilling more beer than she was serving and she couldn't remember anyone's orders. She very much seemed like she had gotten high on something. At 11:25ish we figured we'd better start getting the checks. At this point another server came to our table off the clock because she noticed something wrong with Gabby. We had to relay to her everything we had all ordered. At midnight, they still hadn't figured out our checks. Mind you, in all this time, we have never seen a manager. Nor was any offer made to the two folks who never got food to take it off the bill or anything. Finally one of our group said forget it, just put everything on one check, I'll cover it and we will work it out later. At that point we demanded a manager come to the table. Michael Smart or whatever his last name was, wanted no part in helping, he stared at us like he couldn't understand why we were frustrated. He finally agreed to take a lump sum off the ticket, about a 1/3 of the total and we cleared out. The whole time Gabby is still chattering away about who had what like she thought we were still trying to get separated checks. Absolutely awful... You can look at my review history, this isn't like me, but this is easily one of the worst experiences I've had. I'd leave 0 stars if Yelp allowed it. read more

Staff was very nice. Server, Mia, was exceptional. Although out of some items to make drinks and food items with it being 2 days after Christmas, the food was fresh and hot and tasty. The grilled tacos were delicious and wings a nice size and portion and taste. read more

My boyfriend and i got the mozzarella sticks as an app (no pic) but they were average. I got 10 boneless wings with a side of fried pickles, both were pretty good! Taco Mac always has great food. Unfortunately, the Douglasville Taco Mac is a cut below every other Taco Mac at which I have eaten. The service was only fair. The dining area is not clean. Tables were left with dirty dishes on them the entire time I was there. The bathroom was filthy. I guess every chain has to have a worst performing restaurant. For Taco Mac Douglasville is definitely below the standard I am used to. read more

I was really pleasantly surprised at how good Taco Mac's was. We were sat upon arrival then greeted pretty quickly by an amazing waitress. I sadly do not remember her name but she was great! Very knowledgeable over the menu and had a great personality. I had the roasted wings and loved them. Full of flavor done to perfection and came out hot and fresh. Beer selection was plentiful. They have membership clubs where you can earn prizes after so many beers. Not the traditional junkie items but they have the Big Green Egg grills and high dollar items. A manager came around to check on us along the way which I also thought was very nice. The place was pretty big and I would estimate About 50% full and it was not overly loud but I can see it getting pretty loud on busy nights. I went to Taco Mac Douglasville today. The last few times I was there I noticed a change in their Queso cheese dip that I'm not to happy about. The dip is now extremely thick. This makes it difficult to dip one's chips without breaking them. Additionally, I could barely dip the soft flour tortillas in the cheese. The queso in the past was really good and enjoyable, I hope they back to the old recipe. The rest of my visit was great and the wings were the best in town and the staff are really great. If it wasn't for the queso, I would have given Taco Mac Douglasville 5 stars. read more

Went in to do two to go orders... wanted the oven roasted wings. Well the oven isn't working... hasn't been for over a month. Guess they are microwaving everyone's food. Unacceptable at best. Used to love eating here, but they replaced a lot of the light bulbs with bright white LEDs. Atmosphere is no longer that comfortable, I don't want to drink in a brightly white lit building. December 2022 S U M M A R Y This place is been around forever it seems. I was pretty satisfied with my food. I'd go back. T A S T E Spinach artichoke dip - this came out really hot. There was also a lot of chips with it and some slices of pita bread. I really enjoyed this. I thought it tasted great. Especially for the type of restaurant we were in. I've had a lot of bad spinach dips and this was not one of them. Buffalo wings - this was the biggest disappointment of the night. Buffalo wild wings advertises their restaurant based on the wings. Their wings are supposed to be fresh and never frozen. Though that may be true, they overcook their wings every single time. The wings that I had were super dry and also hard. I had to send them back and when I got a fresh batch it was the same issue. Bacon cheeseburger - The burger was good. Nothing too special but good. Brussel Sprouts - these were good! I think they had like a honey drizzle on them. They were perfectly cooked and not too sweet. I will definitely be ordering these. Dos Equis Lager - what can go wrong, they put it in a chilled glass and I was a happy girl. S E R V I C E My waitress wasn't very helpful. She was nice, but I barely saw her. She would come and check on me every 25 minutes or so and since I was in the back whenever I needed some thing there was no one that I could flag down to help get it for me, like condiments or a refill on my drink. I can't fathom how a restaurant like this is running behind on a Friday when they are not necessarily busy and have plenty of staff. I arrived at and seated at 640 didnt order my beer until 705 ordered my kids food at 705 it's 741 and nothing the server hasn't even come to check on us.
