This is a nice restaurant that serves good food. We tried the Blackened Catfish. It was great. The Honey Salmon was equally good. Garlic Spinach and the Cheese grits were delicious. The weak spot in this restaurant. They don't have olives for martinis. The don't have any idea how to make a cosmo. If you keep your drink orders simple you'll be ok. Nice ambiance. I've been for happy hour a few times. If you get there I'd say before 6 the music level is ok, especially during the weekday. After 6, expect to have to yell at the person next to you. My friends have tried attending and found the music level too loud & left. The bartenders need to get on the same page tho, because the 1st one was definitely better than the 2nd one. I'm from LA & Baldwin Hills is above the area where I grew up, so I had to represent with that drink. Normally, I'm a whiskey/bourbon lady, but vodka is my white liquor preference so I was good. The food is good. We started with the jerk chicken eggrolls. It was definitely fried hard, or maybe refried from earlier? Idk. It was not as light as the picture. Due to the lighting & how hard they were fried, I had to do some editing to make them visible. The server said they weren't too spicy. They come in 4 pieces. The 1st piece I had was definitely mild. My husband said they had a kick when he bit into his, but I didn't get that...that is until I had the 2nd one! Whew! All the spice was in that piece! I'd say slightly spicier than a little kick. They were tasty tho. We both waited a while for our entrees. The table next to us, also only with a couple had their food come out before ours, though they came in as we were finishing our appetizer I think. We'd already placed our entree order by the time they came. The server apologized for the delay on our food and said it would be out in a few minutes. It was more like 10-15 minutes before they brought out his entree. The person who brought it out, maybe the manager?, said she didn't want his food to get cold waiting on mine to come out. It took another 10-15 minutes, if not longer, for my food to come out, with no explanation. My husband ordered the fried catfish entreè with spinach & rice pilaf. He enjoyed his food. His only issue was not having 2 fillets. As you can see the piece you get is sizable, soooo, if you have a big appetite, maybe also get the catfish on the happy hour too to supplement the meal. ‍ I'm trying to get into salmon & the honey bourbon salmon was good. It wasn't overly sweet and it didn't taste fishy, like salmon sometimes can. The spinach is good also. I had to send the potatoes back because they were not hot. As long as I waited for my food, I wasn't expecting lukewarm food. The server quickly brought out some hot potatoes and they were good. They have bingo on Sunday night @ 8; or at least it was 8-something that's night. Initially, the dj said it was an R&B bingo, but when the bingo paper was passed out, it had hip hop on it too. I'm familiar with some hip hop, but don't know all the artists' names, lol. It was still fun, but I knew I probably wasn't going to win lol. We sang during the songs (had to ID the artist on the bingo card), and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I'm glad to have this option in Douglasville and glad it's still here after a few years when some other restaurants have closed. They are also open late, which is good, as most restaurants in the area close at 9 or 10. I'd ask the owner to consider a grown and sexy night or an over 35 night with good R&B music that's played at a level that can be enjoyed and allowed conversation to flow. A line dance night would also be good. I met the owner when the 1st location in Atlanta opened on Edgewood. It just so happened we had family in town visiting from LA. They gave him the business lol about the drink names and the place, but really enjoyed the vibe. I'm glad to see the business flourishing and in multiple states. I wish continued success and that there will be some acceptance of the feedback provided. read more

I love this location!!! Similar to all, happy hour runs until 8pm so you can actually come after work. Tons of parking and security at the door. The bartenders are fun, friendly and attentive. This was a long drive out Highway 20 west towards Douglasville. The parking lot sits in a big plaza and was convient to walk right in and be seated. Bar seating and tables. Let me start by saying that this was actually my 3rd time visiting this restaurant. I love bringing my out-of-town friends and family to this spot because it feels soooo ATL and the food is really good. Unfortunately, third time was NOT a charm! Let me start with the good... I made a reservation for 3:30 pm on Fathers Day! I was nervous they would be packed but surprisingly they were not! When we got there we were sat immediately! The next thing that is a plus is that the food is always so flavorful!! Kudos to the chef! Also, the manager and our server were nice. Sadly, It went downhill from there. After waiting for 30 minutes and watching two tables on each side of ours get serviced, when they came in 10-15 minutes after us, I waved someone down and asked if we were going to get service. A very nice young lady came to our table and told us she was not our server but she would take our order. After having waited so long, we ordered drinks and food! By 4:30 we finally had our food! Did I mention our reservation was at 3:30 and yes we were on time! Now, it was my fault for not reading the menu better. But I ordered the French Toast and assumed it came with eggs. Nope! For $16 you get bread and bacon! So, I ordered a side of grits and eggs, which was taking so long to come out that I actually went and spoke with the manager. I'm not sure if they had to cook a new pot of grits or wait for the chicken to lay the eggs but at this point I was tired, hungry, and very disappointed! After approximately 20 minutes or more we got our sides to go! Now, maybe it was the fact that it was Father's Day and there were no men at our table that our service was horrible! The tables we were sandwiched between had men diners so maybe that's why their service was so swift! I also noticed that one of tables had guests that were friends with a male that worked there because he came over twice and dapped them up! All while, we're sitting there just waiting for a head nod! But I guess when they automatically add a 20% gratuity to the check, there is no once to be effective, efficient, or expedient! Needless to say, I'm not sure I'll be back. I definitely won't bring my out of town guests anymore. This was not a good look! Plus my guest did not like her French Toast sandwich and actually sent it back. If you get there before noon, it is only $10 per person. If you get there after noon, it's $20 per person. You can choose from regular, pineapple, or peach. Listen, go with the peach. Fin & Feathers is still a vibe, but there were some hiccups last night. I made a reservation for 10:30 PM for me and seven friends to celebrate two birthdays (mine and my best friend's). We were there within the grace period but not seated until after 11. There seemed to be an issue with finding a table. Because of that, I highly recommend making a reservation unless you're okay with standing. Once seated, it took a while to get drinks that we ordered and food. I ordered a round of Casamigos, a margarita and lemon pepper wings. I didn't like the margarita (so it'll be my last time ordering that) and the wings were good flavor wise but fried too hard/slightly dry. The music had a mix of rap, r & b, random Tiktok hits, and a small section of Afrobeat, but it seemed like the djay failed to read the room based on what the women were trying to dance to. There was a lot of dancing and strolling going on throughout the night and that was fun. The experience didn't feel as special as the previous time that we went to celebrate birthdays and we had the same server as before. I saw our waitress bringing out sparklers and signs for other guests that were celebrating but she did not do this for our table even though I told her that we were celebrating two birthdays. Perhaps it was an off night. I'd return on a Sunday for r&b night or happy hour, but not sure if I'd want to do another Saturday night again any time soon. read more
