I had to heat it up in my own microwave for 30 seconds upon arrival!! The taco had the option of beef or chicken when ordering. I selected chicken, and in the "special instructions" box below it, I wrote NO LETTUCE. ADD SOUR CREAM. GRILLED CHICKEN. Order was completed at 7:20pm and the Doordash driver delivered to my door at 7:23pm. The taco has slimy, wet chicken with peppers in it and not grilled as I requested. I called Cancun and the owner told me it was the Doordashers fault my quesadilla was cold and I would need to complain to them.. even though it only took 3 minutes from the grill to my door? And she said I couldn't gwt the taco replaced because it was my fault I didnt specify grilled chicken- even though the cook read NO LETTUCE & ADD SOUR CREAM... the grilled chicken part was skipped. So that is my fault? Food has gone down hill. Over priced. Unfriendly people. Unwilling to correct my order. She told me to take it up with Doordash.

This restaurant is so good! So friendly and super quick!…read more We ordered over the phone for take out for 4 meals and they had it done within 15 minutes! Every single one of our meals were absolutely delightful. My husband got the Burrito Gigante, my friends grandma got the Burrito Mexicano, I got the chimichanga dinner and my friend got the chicken rice and cheese. Their portions are huge, filling and absolutely YUM! It comes with chips and salsa, always. I will definitely be a return customer, and not just because it's 3 minutes from my house.

Moving on to appetizers, we tried the empanadas and the taquitos -- delicious! And the salsa tomatillo was so good we got chips to take up the left over sauce. For our main course, we had the Ramona flight of tacos and the mole oaxaqueño. My husband said he hasn't had mole like that since we lived in Texas. The flavors of everything were so deep and rich. Delicious! We can't wait to come back again. We never thought we would see this quality of an authentic Mexican restaurant in Springfield, and we are over the moon that Ramona Tacos + Mezcal is here! Incredible quality of food and service and atmosphere.

Let's start by saying I was really excited to try this place and waited too long maybe to try it…read moreand it peaked and now is a complete disappointment. Walking in, space is very beautiful and well thought out. I would have only subleased one of the spaces and made it smaller to make sure I have a line out the door. Place was very empty with not many diners and as I sat down and looked at the menu, I see why they are dead. First off, If you are going to rip off Session Taco's business model, follow their pricing and not charge double what they charge, especially when your tacos aren't as good and lack flavor or seasoning. Not the customer's fault you overpaid on rent. That's why you will be closed in the foreseeable future. Hence why they should have made the space half the size. Second, menu is impossible to read and the smallest print in the worst color too. We ordered up some apps, empanadas and the queso fundido. 3 tiny empanadas with less than 1/4 of a teaspoon of filling came out with your typical spicy mayo dip that wasn't memorable. Was more dough than anything on these. Not worth ordering again. Reminding me of bad, overpriced catering food you get at a wedding you are wanting to run from to go eat better food . The "signature" queso fundido was disappointing too. The cheese was almost impossible to scoop and had the consistency of Elmer's glue starting to harden with no flavor. Same with the pico and chorizo on top- no flavor. This was served with stale chips and some flour tortillas on the side. The entrees, I had the pork belly tacos, picture shown. 2 tacos- $19! A lobster taco at session taco is $7 for one taco. If that tells you anything about why I am so disappointed with this experience. Tacos were eh, nothing special and again, lack any real flavor or seasoning. Kosher salt is your friend, Chef.... One friend had a burrito that looked like something you get at a cafeteria and they couldn't even wipe the rim of the plate of the cheese sauce they dropped all over it. So, if you are running an upscale place, wiping the rim takes only a minute and also shows you care about your product and your plate you produced. Not here obviously. Other friend got the flight of tacos that was 4 tacos for $25. Said the best one was the steak, again not sure what they called it and the online menu of course doesn't match the menu they are handing out to diners. Said the other 3 weren't great- said the carnitas were so salty that it was almost inedible. So my tab was $41 and some change for 2 tacos and some bad cheese dip and stale chips. After tip- $50. I really expected more from an upscale place for dinner warranting that price and also for how small the portions are for the price. Good luck to them, won't be returning...
