    chicken and rice

This is the only time I've been disappointed by this restaurant. The food here is usually wonderful. Today I ordered the Chilaquiles Mexicano. The description mentioned shredded chicken with their special sauce. Unfortunately all I got was shredded chicken loaded with onions and bits of tomato. No other sauce at all. The onion overpowered the entire dish to the point that I couldn't enjoy it. The chicken itself was moist and the tortillas tasted fresh. The beans and rice were both really good. Since I ordered take out from work I didn't have the ability to return it. I'm sure they would have been gracious. The staff here has always been great.

My wife and I ate back here in May and had such a horrible experience I did not even think about posting my review. I was going to type out a novel but I'm going to keep it short and sweet to keep my blood pressure down. Our entire tab ended up being free from the manager, as it should be when you received uncooked and bloody taco meat along with strands if hair in your food - not a chance we ever return!

We were able to make it here for lunch so we ordered off the lunch menu. I had the chicken fajitas, which were served as a generous portion. The meat was tender, the vegetables were cooked well without being over cooked. The seasoning on the fajitas was also quite good. My husband ordered a combination plate of a taco and an enchilada. It was standard, nothing too exciting. The chips that were brought to the table when we sat down were actually very good, the salsa was ok. Service was great, our waiter was very attentive, and we were in and out in under an hour.

Zero stars. Just say NO. Cheapest food, high price, unfriendly staff. I'm still sick thinking about it.

We were seated promptly and got our drinks in a reasonable amount of time. The complimentary chips and salad appeared almost immediately. The chips were fresh and the salad was house made. Maybe a tad bland for my taste but my friend really enjoyed it. The beans and rice were your standard fare hut I really enjoyed the rice. My friend liked her enchilada and burrito with ground beef. I really liked the shrimp, which came with two soft taco. The shrimp were well cooked and the salsa based sauce was flavorful but not spicy. Overall the portion size was just the right size. Service could have been a bit more attentive, we had to wait a whole for our check but not big deal. You do pay at the counter, not the table. We paid $53 before taxes for two drinks and two dinners.

Our server was Oscar (aka "Whiskey" we found out later) who seemed to be in a huge hurry for us to order. We appreciate the efficiency of us being seated and given menus so quickly but after our drink orders he was there in like 10 seconds ready to take our food order even though we had just received the menu. We asked for more time and he came back again no joke in 60 seconds. Asked for more time and again was back in like 30 seconds. Sigh. As soon as our food came out he disappeared. Didn't check to see how our food was until we flagged him down for another round of drinks. He was friendly just seemed in a hurry. Other than that our experience was great. The place has a very authentic feel. The cheese dip is melty gooey goodness. I got shrimp timpico which was very good. Lots of shrimp in a spicy sauce. My friend got ground beef and queso as a meal. My brother got a quesadilla Del Mar. Everything came out very fast and hot. We loved this place and would come back for sure.

Despite the unexpected filling it was still good but I couldn't eat all of it. My wife's quesadilla was exactly what she expected and she said it was good. We got some chips and salsa as we waited. I'm pretty sure that the chips were house made since they were different from other kinds of tortilla chips I had. The salsa was good, but I definitely would've loved a little more spice to it. We got the Enchiladas Suizas and a Fajita Burrito. The burrito was pretty good, but if I were to go again I'd probably choose something different from the Enchiladas. Just was not for me. I did like how spicy they were though! One thing that also stood out was that much of the time when I go to Mexican restaurants, the portions are pretty big for the prices. The portions were definitely not tiny, but smaller than I would maybe expect for a Mexican restaurant for the price that we paid. I'm not sure if we would choose to go back in the future since it was a stop along the way for a trip for us, but it was not a bad stop. They do have a large parking lot out front which makes parking super easy and that is always a huge plus!

Authentic Mexican Flavors with a Beautiful Presentation!…read more This place serves some of the best Mexican food I've had in a while! I ordered the green enchiladas, and they were absolutely delicious--perfectly rolled tortillas filled with flavorful meat, smothered in a rich green sauce, and drizzled with crema and queso fresco. The refried beans were smooth and creamy, and the rice was fluffy with a great seasoning. The burrito was a showstopper! Stuffed with tender steak and grilled veggies, then topped with a creamy, slightly spicy sauce and fresh pico de gallo. The drizzle of crema and queso fresco gave it an extra layer of indulgence. Every bite was packed with flavor, and the portion size was very generous! Service was friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you're craving authentic Mexican food with bold flavors and beautiful plating, this spot is a must-visit. I'll definitely be back! Would highly recommend!

The atmosphere was tired and, on a day when it was 100-plus outside either the air conditioning couldn't keep up or, worse, hadn't been turned on at all.
