    Taco with brown lettuce.

Not good tonight. Messy tables, both napkin holders were empty, and the tacos were served with brown lettuce. Someone else just had to ask for a fork because that bin was empty as well. I come here often and it's usually good, but not tonight.

My husband and I are obsessed with this place! Every time we go out of town we look for a TJ! I always get the meat and potatoes burrito, hubs gets the super burrito l. His only complaint is no more black olives. . As usual the food was tasty, hot and staff was super friendly. We got a side of oles with cheese and I tried a shrimp street taco. That was delish too! This restaurant was updated, clean.

I haven't had Taco John's since probbly high school and that's been a few days ago. My cousin took me for lunch today. We both had Taco Bravos and Potato Ole's. The Taco Bravo is a hard shell taco wrapped in a soft shell that is covered with refried beans. Keeps the taco from falling apart. The potato olés are hashrounds that have been salted and you can get cheese and sour cream to dip them in. Everything was great. They are higher priced than Taco Bell also better quality food.

There were plenty of celebrations around town and we hiked around 9 miles on streets, wooded areas, and along the Wabash River. The good folks at the Museum in town educated us on the life of Cole Porter and recommended several places for us to eat and about 4 of us decided to go to Los Tres Caminos. Let me start out by saying that our server was a very pleasant young man who did a great job of keeping up with 4 VERY hungry people...the chips and salsa kept coming :-) They even custom-made a Cherry Coke for one of our hikers. Two of us ordered the Quesedilla Mazatlan which was yummy. The other two ordered chimichungas with rice and beans from the a la carte menu. Prices were very good, food was very good, service was very good. What can I say. I'll be back the next time I'm in Peru :-)

Last review stands. I would like to add that I was told that the rice which comes with all but one…read moreof the "vegetarian" items on their menu contains chicken base. SMH. The beans, however, are vegetarian and contain no lard. Allegedly. Service is hit or miss. They charge you extra for a to go order even if you are dining in and decide to get something else to take home. SMH again. It feels grungy in here like an old mop wiped every surface. Not the worst but definitely not the best. Limited options in Peru. If you want good Mexican food go to a different city. I dined at this location multiple times but haven't returned since I verified the rice and chicken base situation.

They still have the goofy hours closing at three. It felt dark & dingy. Pieces of trash on floor runners as walked to our seats. Pieces of napkin? The cloth seats of the booths are stained. Although it's always been overpriced, it's gone up even more, and it's just not pleasant now. Three women at the front hostess desk didn't acknowledge my party right away, and when one did, she seemed annoyed we were there. Our server wasn't any more welcoming nor friendly. Worse, actually. I received a large mug of decaf. No non-dairy options and given bowl of individual cups of half-and-half. While it proved to actually be devoid of caffeine, the coffee didn't taste good at all. Not sure what brand they must be using. No refills offered for our table, but I couldn't even finish this cup. $3.00 for this crap. Soft drinks are nearly $4, juice almost $3 and $4 depending on the size... Everything here is extremely overpriced. The portion of hash browns I was given was huge, but they were not good either. I normally have trouble with undercooked hash browns with no color when I go out. These were overcooked and too crunchy to get on a fork. Greasy. Rye toast okay. I'm sure real dairy butter. I didn't bother to ask... I'm glad they offer mushrooms. However, I could tell they came from a can. I also like that tomato juice is an option, but I didn't get that this time. Rye bread is a welcomed sight. Given checks before we were finished. No drink refills offered. I was never brought the straw the server said she owed me. She only had one on hand. You must take your check up front to pay. As annoyed as they seemed to have us come in the doors, you'd think they would have checked us out sooner. My two sides ala carte with coffee came to over $11 before tip. Not pictured, a lady at my table paid even more for a fountain drink and their granola and yogurt parfait with fruit. It looked good, but good Lord. $12 and change?? Just really unenthusiastic attitudes. Food quality and atmosphere went WAYYY down. I feel like I need a shower and to put my clothes in the wash from feeling greasy and having that oily smell cling to my shirt which was fresh when I went in. I don't know how this place is still in business other than the fact that it's one of the only restaurant options in this awful little town, so you don't have much choice if you want to go somewhere to sit down... I don't plan to return. The staff won't ever have to be inconvenienced by me again. You had one job...
