It was 9:00pm when we got here, and we're lucky to find one that opens until 10. We wanted something light, and have a larger meal for breakfast, since it's late, instead of the normal 2-3 street taco sizes I normally eat, I couldn't decide between tacos, burritos or Taco Salad. I changed my mind 2x, while hubby was ordering. I stayed in the car. I got the Taco Salad. I have forgotten how to eat that, and since we're eating in the comfort of our suite, I started gobbling each section, and instead I should have mixed them all in, and eat them. I did finally enjoyed the rest of them, plus the chips & nacho (melted) cheese that came with our order. Hubby ordered two tacos, and now I know why we got the nacho & cheese, it was part of a combo deal. We didn't get drinks. I was given two types to add to my Taco Salad, their own sauce & a salsa, and I tried them both, but I prefer the salsa. I also prefer my taco salad on my cheese, and I've always like chips, but my salad bowl is a ton MORE crispier, which is a bonus. I made the right choice! I like the fact, they add the calorie content, next to the price tag on their menu. We were out of there, 20 mins. later. Warning. I don't write negative reviews but I had to in this case. At 3 in the afternoon I came in. The manager April took my order. Three soft shell tacos. After 5 minutes and listening to 5-6 employees talking and whining about stuff. I did not have any food, nor was anyone making my food. I then wanted to maybe add some Oles. Big Mistake. I stood at the counter for another 10 minutes and these people would everyonce in a while look at me and not say anything. So I finally asked hey can I get some help? The girl with purple hair then went back without talking to me and said April front dest. April then waddled back to the front and clueless ask the purple haired girl what do you want. The girl goes to her that I need help. April then said "I have already helped him" at this point I'm irritated because I was in a hurry. I ask for my money back April did not respond. Then a dude shows up with some like warm refried beans and 2 soft shell tacos. Not 3. What in the F is seriously going on here. Kudos to these people for having jobs and not living off the government but dam. Worst service, food sucked, cleanliness was horrible. Taco John's - Mexican Near Me - North Platte, Nebraska

It's hard to say this is an indictment of this specific Taco John's or Taco John's in general as I barely ever go to Taco John's. As a vegetarian, it was available fast food on my route. Looking at their menu, I don't know why, but I felt a four-cheese quesadilla would be fulfilling. At $3.59, it was maybe the worst quesadilla ever at that price. I don't know if this is the usual quesadilla that Taco John's provides or just this location. But it's not like it went through any kind of heating. It was just a tortilla, kind of cut, with not much cheese particularly not melted. With that kind of creation, I could have just picked up these ingredients at the grocery store in North Platte and made it in my car. What a disappointment. At the same time, I should have known better. Why get a fast food quesadilla at that price point? I'll stick to bean burritos if anything. read more

This Taco Johns doesnt seem to have quality control. Some times their amount of food varies. Had a super burrito and it was small. Today I ordered two regular bean burritos and it was hard to eat without food squirting out. Asked for hot sauce and was given two tiny packets for two burritos. Much better servive at the other Taco Johns in North Platte. read more

All I wanted was a number 11 but what I got was something completely different not worth my hard-earned money I'm ashamed of corporations nowadays for hiring anybody who breathes off of the street to make your food which is unfortunately children most of the time who have little to no experience in cooking for themselves or others my food appeared as though there was little to absolutely no efforts involved in preparing it to my surprise upon further investigation there was hair in my meal I understand it is fast food and convenient however there should still be a standard that is expected I cannot believe someone can accomplish such feats and still be employed I can quite literally get the same results I did today by picking a soggy 3-in tortilla off the ground and emptying my garbage disposal on it what a waste of my time and money​​ read more

Being from LA, a place called "Taco John's" sounded like two words just randomly put together, surely not an establishment with fine tacos. However, I was pleasantly surprised, tacos were decent (on par with Taco Bell...don't judge me), and "potatoes olé" were in fact something to cheer about. What I'm really writing about though were the people working. They were nice, friendly, and helpful. I just like it when people seem like they actually enjoy their job, which isn't very often the case at a fast food place. read more

This is by far the worst Taco John's I've ever eaten at. There was less than a teaspoon of meat on each taco. The taco shell was less than 1/3 full with all ingredients in it. I felt like I paid $6 for two taco shells! Several customers were complaining about it while we were there. I gave it two stars because the Potato Oles were good!!! read more

With a place named "Taco Johns", I was fearing for the worst. But it was just as good if not better than Taco Bell, Del Taco, etc., and even had some little potato nuggets that were amazing. The hot sauces and salsa were also very good. For a fast food chain, you could do worse. read more

I realize why I don't frequent TJ's much. Their prices seem quite high compared to other fast food restaurants that you can get more food for less. When you spend almost $8 for Super Potato Oles, that's ridiculous.Yes, I could have driven off but didn't. At the drive up I asked for their hotter hot sauce but the attendant (w/no one in line behind) failed to put it in the bag as he was chatting to others handing the bag out the window, not even thanking me for my order. I guess I should have taken the time to open the bag to check before getting home. I could have bought the ingredients at Gary's or Walmart and made 10 times the amount they serve. I love your fast food, however, I can get a full meal at a choice of several authentic sit sown Mexican restaurants nearby and they give you free chips and salsa with your meal. Just need not be in a hurry! Consistency and good service seems to be a concern here as I've heard from others, and their employees that apply at my business seeking a different job. Came through at about 1015 on 8/26/2015 service was super slow. One other customer in drive threw. No one behind us. Girls working were too busy flirting with two boy customers inside to get my order right, also took a decent amount of time to receive said messed up food.
