Great food. If you are a fan of Cuban this is the real deal. Plantains were great. Dirty rice was awesome.

Passing through town, we were excited to find something a little different. El Mojito did not disappoint. Authentic Cuban cuisine and unique cocktails. I had a great Pisco Sour reminding me of time spent in Chile. Now about the food- the shredded beef was outstanding, the tamal was so delicate and the saucey chicken tender and flavorful. We were driving across Nebraska and at about 3pm found ourselves approaching North Platte and hungry. El Mojito popped up on Yelp, they were open; we stopped. So happy we did. We are fans of Cuban food and were delighted to find this restaurant with wonderful food. I recommend the yuca! read more

I really want to support this fantastic restaurant and keep great locally owned places alive and well in North Platte. I went for the first time today with a friend for lunch. The decor and vibe is wonderful and I plan on having a get together with a group there soon. Classy and fun bar area with club seats and tables to share cocktails. I had a lunch special chicken meal and my friend had the steak sandwich with fries. Both were delicious and flavorful, full of spices but not hot. Sadly, we were the only party there at the time but our server was polite and attentive. Try them out! I can imagine the ambiance with more people would be really fun and hopping. Being a Truck driver that is always in search of a good restaurant tends to be a problem when you are from a big city. I LOVE CUBAN cuisine and rarely do I find one this good in middle of nowhere Nebraska. That being said I HIGHLY RECOMMEND El Mojito to anyone that is looking for excellent food and atmosphere. Ask for Javier and tell him Larry (The Cuban Trucker) sent you. Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures but you can't really go wrong with anything you order here. I had their Tamal and the Ropa Vieja. That was so good that I ordered a Batido de Mango and a Cuban Samich to go. Give em a try. Enjoy read more

Food is decent for Cuban food. Nothing to write home about but still decent. As for the experience and service. Whoever the guy was working at the bar mixing drinks with the beard was super rude and probably for that reason alone won't come back again. I ordered food online and had a question if I was already charged or if I needed to give them my card to charge it and he just scoffed and said they don't have a website. I asked them how did I order this food then that they just prepared and handed me. He said I don't know. I asked him what sense does that make, I ordered food off their search online and put my card info in. Just needed to know if I need to pay or not and he was just rude staring at me and continued preparing drinks behind the bar. Some guy who also ordered food explained that the search online just goes through door dash when you order pick up. So they guy ordering food was more help then the pompous bartender. read more

We enjoyed the food and the ambiance. The brothers Jorge and Jose opened about 2 months ago and have brought a touch of Cuba to North Platte. The family is all there to serve, cook and mix drinks, fast and friendly. The taste is fresh, not overpowering and beautifully served. The guava smoothie was delicious. The sauce for the chicken and beef could pass for a bean soup, a different flavour but good. read more
