Online ordering can be tricky in the fact even when you check in on the app you still have to wait in line to tell them You then have to tell them at the counter you are here ..then they start your order.negating the fact that you are ordering a in-line to bypass the line ..and having your order to be ready when you arrive or at least started when you check -in.make sure you double check your Oder before you leave to make sure everything is there(because mistakes happen ).i like taco John's for what they are consistent on taste and you know what you are going to get when you go there.gave been going here for 30 years..but i had to post a review because of what i saw last week. read more

I come to this location often since it's close to my work. The last time I had gone they forgot one of my tacos and when I tried to call the calls immediately just click and hang up. double check your orders if you decide to eat here. I'm super disappointed in my entire order !! I brought the boss bowl and returned it untouched... I spoke to Ethan the cook, say "oh yeah, we usually fill the bowls up" and shrugged it off with a Smirk on his face .. I won't be spending my money here again !! My boyfriend ordered a #7, when we got back to the house, the taco and burrito had hardly any meat and a shit ton of sour cream on both !! Not to mention the speaker was broke and when I brought my food back inside no one was to be seen for a few minutes .. Had to run an errand in Bourbonnais and decided to stop at Taco John's! Thought I had to try it because right away it reminded me a lot of fast food restaurants out west. Sat at the window for at least 5 minutes waiting for our food. No apology given. Food was shoved into the bag all haphazardly. The taco salad was sideways so when we got home, everything was all over the side and top of the box. The shell for the taco salad was stale. I went through around 6:30am to grab a breakfast burrito with a coupon for a free one and the worker seemed like the most uninterested person I've ever met. Cold as a stone over the speaker and hardly said anything when I got to the window, also took 15 minutes to make breakfast burrito. Very poor experience. read more

Man, I really liked this place! Thinking it was going to be another Taco Bell rip off, I was very pleased to be wrong. Taco John's is way better than Taco Bell; by leap's and bounds! However, I am basing that on my first visit where I got the "street tacos", which were awesome! The potatoes sides that I got was very tasty, however there is no need to order ANYTHING larger than a small at this place! All of the portions are huge! read more

Breakfast is the meal today. I got the sausage breakfast burrito today in a combo meal with potato oles' and a drink. The oles' as always were wonderful and the burrito was large and delicious. The diet Pepsi could use more syrup and less water in my opinion. Should taste more like soda than water. Overall......very good. read more

I have been going to Taco John's in Kankakee County since the days of tacos for report card As. As a life long Bourbonnais resident I am sad to say the food, service, and value is horrible for the product being served. Every time a new item comes out and a billboard is made, I attempt to give Taco John's another try, but am consistently disappointed. Tonight I was terribly disappointed again. First they forgot half of my order. After I fed my child, called and went back to pick up the remaining half of my order in the drive thru, there was confusion at the window about what I was there to pick up and I was almost given someone else's food. After getting home, I was less than happy to find a plate of soggy food that had probably been sitting at the window since the original order was placed 40 minutes prior. This was $35.00 worth of food which was barely edible, even the second time through the drive thru. We are happy to spend the money on quality food, but this isn't it. I sincerely hope things improve. With all the fast food choices out there this is officially last on my list in Kankakee. read more
