I do not believe the folks in Kankakee know true Mexican food which is full of favor and aromas. The salsa was no more than an opened can of crushed tomatoes. The chicken tacos had NO flavor whatsoever... and were dry chunks of chicken. The Nachochita container fatty- Fatty- chunks throuhgout it and the quacamole was the only ingredient that was tasteful. New to the area and craving Mexican food last Friday night I stopped here after reading the great reviews. Sorry to say I was not pleased at all. Ordered a margarita to start and the bartender talked me into her special which was a Sangria/Margarita. Drinkable but not to my taste and only drank half. Order the Pastor Burrito and it came out within 10 minutes. It was barely warm, prok was tough and had little flavor. Took 3 bites and pushed it aside. When the bartender finally came back I told her that I sensed it was premade and the only thing hot was the microwaved plate. She left and presented the bill and I questioned why they would charge me for a meal not eaten. She told me that she took off the drink and that was all she could do. So I still paid for a meal that was uneatable. Will never go back. read more

Needed food catering for 50 people. I called 2weeks in advance. She tells me no need, they can whip this up in couple hours. I said well,I will call day before to make sure they get it right. I asked about tacos, she said a pan of chicken is 70, beef90 beans and rice 40 each and the so on. Came out to about $350. So Friday before party I get the manager tell him what I need. He said he could do it. He has to total it up, so he takes my info. I said I will come in by 1 pm.I got the party at 5pm. He comes back will $14.25 a person for 3 tacos bean and rice. I had no choice at that point. Just lost your weekly customer. Never used these people they will scam you. read more

I love me some Pa-chan-ga! They're my go-to Mexican restaurant, their food is always well cooked, and the customer service is excellent I've never had a problem with that, the atmosphere there is great I love eating in, and overall just a great experience I recommend the restaurant to anyone any day. My only complaint is that they get really busy and it might take a bit to get my food out, but that doesn't bother me because they've never messed up my food. read more

Honestly the best Mexican cuisine in the county. While unique in some areas the concepts are true to many foods I've sampled in Mexico. From Carne Asada, casa combo, osso buco, I had the paella this time with birote loco. While traditional burritos, tacos, fajitas are great definitely venture into the house favorites. To be honest, I wasn't overly thrilled about yet another Mexican place opening up in the area. For an area that lacks in restaurant diversity I would have liked to see something else go in this building. Putting that aside, this place is pretty good! It's got a fun ambiance and food with good presentation and great flavor! We came in early on a Saturday and were greeted by Bea (Beatrice) who was warm, friendly, and ended up being our server. She seemed to be bartending as well as serving and did a great job on my margarita flight! She was quick and attentive to our every request! The cucumber margarita was so good! We ordered queso dip, al pastor torta, and the flautas caliente and loved everything. We will definitely be back to try the pozole! read more

This building has been several different restaurants and I think this is the best one so far! I've been here 3 times now and have always had good service and good food. The place is clean and decorated nice. They have different specials for food and drinks. One of the drink specials now is a margarita flight- which is great because no other place in this area has anything like it! It's a nice way to sample their flavors! One of the best "authentic" Mexican restaurants in the area. Although with that being said, it does lack in food that is not seafood based. The meat is typically without flavor, and tortillas are often cold. The atmosphere, decor, and friendly waitresses do, in fact, make up for it though. read more

I wasn't expecting it to be this amazing but it was! Our waitress was really good and she was so friendly she made sure we had everything at our table. I got a shrimp cocktail and it was so yummy, my husband got the molcajete and boy was the cheese on top so delicious. The meat was nice and juicy and that jalapeño on top was just the right touch of spice. For drinks i got the one that came with four mini drinks that allowed me to taste four different drinks which was pretty cool I've never seen that any where else. I also tried their lime margarita and it was really good. My husband got the cantarito not his nor my favorite it just taste like juice, or maybe we are alcoholics We sat there for a while and not at one point did we ever feel rushed. I came here during dinner hours and the service was satisfyingly fast!! I ordered the enchiladas dinner and it was quite delicious. I didn't care for the chips but my meal was pleasing to my stomach. I was given a decent amount to where I had enough to take home. The next day I remembered just how delicious my food was that my leftovers wouldn't be enough to satisfy. Relatively new restaurant in this area but so far the three times we've been there it has been a five-star good service excellent Mexican Cuisine authentic clean prices are reasonable remember you only get what you pay for would go back again and recommend it to anybody that's looking for authentic Mexican food in this area or any area it is a five-star. If you're driving from up north or farther south it is totally worth the drive if you're in the mood for authentic Mexican food. This is the newest Mexican restaurant in town and is definitely worth the stop! I had chicken flautas which were the best I have ever had. Their homemade chips and homemade salsa were unique, delicious and savory. The staff were more than accommodating in that they considered adding a dessert to the menu in the future when mentioned. Their specialty drinks were authentic and refreshing. They had several different sauces available upon request instead of the standard red and green. The beans were of such high quality that I hadn't seen since visiting New Mexico! The food was high quality, fresh, hot and surprisingly inexpensive. Every bite was a party in my mouth.
