Disgusting food for the price! 10 bucks for some nachos and it was all beans on that puppy! And the carne asada was all fat !

Excellent food, excellent service. We originally went across the street to El Mexicali Cafe and day and waited for 20 minutes and decided to leave and go here. That was one of the best decisions we've ever made. Came in here and we were immediately greeted by Rosie who couldn't have been any sweeter. Menu was a little hard to read, but Rosie helped us through it and were able to order some good food. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is driving through and looking for some good mexican food. read more

Traveling in from Az, we stumbled upon Tacos Jalisco, right off the 10 fwy. Terrific find for authentic Mexican food! The plates are huge and tasty. The flautas are packed with moist chicken and if you like menudo with hominy, just ask them to add nixtamal, good Sunday morning breakfast! We'll stop again! read more

Family restaurant with the kindest staff. Food was very good and Mexican with an American palate for those that need the standard "Mexican" that they know. Honestly they are friendly and courteous but I ordered a carne asada taco and it was honestly atrocious. The meat was definitely microwaved and the ice berg lettuce??? (Which didn't belong on a street taco in the first place) was old and brown. For a place with taco in the name I thought this was a no brainer. I was thoroughly disappointed and I don't think any future taco in my life time could be worse than that. The ceviche tostada was good tho. read more

Recently came through town and discovered this gem. I'm not sure if it's the same restaurant that used to be over on Fargo Street or not. Great food, inexpensive, well seasoned, authentic. I really enjoy this place!! I like to get food to go from here. The staff is super nice and makes you feel very welcome. The woman that I see all the time is so nice and always brings me chips and salsa while I'm waiting for my order. She always makes sure my to go orders are packaged really nicely and will make it home without incident. The salsa is all homemade and delicious. The food always hits the spot and is so good!!! Authentic and delicious food all round. I first realized it had to be Authentic when I saw passenger buses from Mexico stop here all the time. I have stayed nearby many times and had their food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Have tried almost everything on the menu. It's all splendid, with the soups/stews my favorite. The huevos con chorizo is my favorite for breakfast. And the rice that comes with all the dishes is just perfectly rustic. The service is also great. The lady who runs the place is especially sweet and helpful. And I love the simple but quirky decor with signed currency bills stapled everywhere. read more

Best fish tacos I've had in years! You know how when you're craving fish tacos, but then you decide you should be healthy and get the grilled not the breaded? And then they're dry and flavorless? I ordered these tacos in the fly from the freeway. I wasn't sure what I would get, but hungry enough to just eat whatever they gave me These tacos were not breaded or fried! Taco Jalisco is a gem! My fiance is staying in Indio for the month of April for work and accidently came here thinking it was another mexican joint suggested by a friend. So when I came into town last weekend this is the first spot we came to. We waited in a long line to order but the food came out quickly. I had carnitas tacos, rice and beans. The food here is pretty authentic and really delicious! It's on my way to the track out in Desert Center and I will be stopping here every time I go to and from the track! We got take out and the woman who took our order gave us some chips and salsa to eat while we waited for our food. My friend got a chicken burrito (he really wanted chorizo but they ran out) and he thought it was tasty. I got a carne asada quesadilla which came with chips. The carne asada was really tasty! It wasn't the typical stuff that you get, but rather it had onions and spices to give it some great flavor! My friend even said that the carne asada was good and he stole the rest of my food when he got hungry later. read more

Horrible. So expensive and the food tasted basic. I only ordered some nacos and 3 tacos and it was 19$ for those things !!!! So expensive I could've got way more for $19 somewhere else! And they didn't give me a receipt how to see what was so expensive even after I asked they gave me some receipt that had nothing on it. Would never recommend it this place. read more
