I stopped by this spot specifically to check out their Taco Tuesday deal, featuring $1.70 tacos. I placed an order for one asada and two beef tacos. The service was great, the lady inside who took our order was very nice and welcoming. The Build: Each taco came on standard tortillas loaded with your choice of meat, priced at a super low entry point for the Tuesday special. The Flavor Profile: Taste-wise, the tacos were actually pretty good. The absolute highlight was the red taco sauce, which had a really great flavor and brought some excellent heat to the plate. The only real letdown was the size, they were just so dang small. Even at only $1.70 each, I was expecting a bit more substance to them. I left feeling like I just needed bigger tacos to actually satisfy the craving. The Verdict: While the flavors were solid and the price is hard to beat, the miniature portions mean this probably won't become a regular spot for me. My friend ordered the watermelon water her favorite. She ordered frijoles and said they were very good. She had shrimp tacos with corn tortillas and wished she had been offered corn tortillas. Staying at a nearby hotel and this seemed like the best (maybe only) restaurant in the area so I stopped in. It is located in a gas station store front so I wasn't expecting much. The folks inside were very friendly and my carne Asada tacos were made fresh right in front of me. It just happened to be "taco Tuesday" so I got three and was not at all disappointed. Authentic to the core and no regrets here. Caution: i'm not sure if every day their tacos are served on 4 inch tortilla shells, but I can tell you tonight on taco Tuesday they were. You can't beat $1.70 tacos on tuesdays! The carne asada tacos were good and the yellow corn tortillas were so delicious! We also tried the shrimp tacos (yummy and spicy) and the tacos de nada (potato) and the carne asada fries. Everything was really great, my only complaint is the salsa! It comes in packets, which is good for travel, but it's just not my favorite. I tried the red and the green, the red was better but still not as flavorful as some others in town. I decided to try this place on taco Tuesday. They have 1.70 tacos on Tuesdays. I ordered three tacos, pastor, carne asada & carnitas. The corn tortillas were fresh, the carne asada and the pastor were both very good. The carnitas were extremely dry, I couldn't even chew them. They do give you plenty of meat on the tacos. The salsa is prepackaged but tasty. They charge $4.50 for their fountain drinks, way too much in my opinion. The restaurant is nice and clean and decorated nicely. The bathrooms are clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. I will go back and try some other items. Hopefully the carnitas will improve and they will lower the price of their fountain drinks, they charge almost as much for them as they do their bottled beer. read more

Stopped by Taco House for lunch and overall had a pretty decent experience. The asada was tasty and seasoned just right, which is always a win. You can tell they know how to get the flavor right. The service was super friendly, everyone was nice, and the lady even brought me a complimentary tostada, which was a really cool and appreciated touch. The tostada itself was good and definitely a nice bonus. The place itself is pretty basic and average, nothing fancy, just simple dining, clean, and straight to the point. Overall, good food, great people, and a solid spot for a casual bite. Not mind-blowing, but definitely respectable. Service was spot on. Loved the tacos, tried chili verde-chicken-carne asada. All were grilled and made fresh. Owner (I think) made sure I had toppings and salsa. I even got a little tostada with refried beans (gratis) which was delicious. 4 stars instead of 5 mainly becuase of the nacho cheese dispenser, prepacked salsa. I'm just really in search of a good taco place, like always. I mean now that I can't even think about eating gluten and dairy is a no-no, tacos are a go-go! I decided to stop in after a quick Costco run. Then get take out, no cooking tonight! First, the staff is so nice, they make you feel welcomed and that's so rare in a fast-service restaurant. They recommended some items and I got to ordering. The chili verde is new on the menu, so I got that. Plus some chicken and beef tacos. Yum! The chili verde was so good, not fatty and in smaller chunks. I got it in a corn tortilla quesadilla. Delish! The tacos are good and have plenty of protein, then there's an area to add onions, cilantro, and grab salsa. Perfect! The pot beans were really good! And the rice too. Overall experience excellent! Right as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a warm smile and how am I doing today! I had no idea what to order since it was my first time in the establishment. The nice lady at the register suggested some options, turns to find out I was speaking with the owner! That was a plus. I ordered 4 chicken tacos, a chicken quesadilla and to drink an Horchata. Price ran me about $32.00 dollars. Crazy thing is they don't let you tip! First time here -- nice spot overall and the food tasted good. I ordered a carne asada burrito and a taco de tripa. The flavor was definitely there, no complaints on that. However, I was a bit disappointed with the portion of meat. The taco de tripa didn't have much protein, and I ran into the same issue with the burrito. For what they're charging, I think the protein portion could definitely be increased. In total, I paid a little over $20, which feels a bit overpriced considering the amount of meat you get. Wonderful service. Wonderful food, great prices too. I had never had a mulita before .... Holy heck it's like if a taco and a quesadilla had a baby and it's SO good. And you get two of them in an order (a lot of food). They also have tacos for $1.70 on Tuesdays and they are so simple and delish. I like the green salsa also. Still need to try breakfast items. This place looks like it's a part of the gas station but it is not. The owners are also very kind people and have paid the vet bills for one of the unhoused individuals nearby's sweet (and very friendly) pitbull. Good people, good service and delish food. Walked in after 7:00 on a Friday night and there was only a single customer inside. This typically would have me hesitant to stay. The wife and I are equal opportunity foodies so we stuck with the plan on trying something new. The lady at the register was patient as we perused the menu and answered all our questions happily. As usual on our first visit somewhere we ordered a little bit of everything. Tacos, Tortas, fries, nachitos,, and some tamales. After ordering we found a table,, before we could even take our seats the lady who took our order was tableside with some mini tostadas. They were simple with just beans but warm and delicious. She then explained to us where the salsa and other condiments were located and hurried back to the kitchen. A few moments later she returned with some samples of their chili verde. Followed shortly by our tacos and fries. A couple minutes later she returned with the remainder of our order. They checked in on us several times and were some of the friendliest people you could ever encounter! The food was all freshly prepared, better than what you would expect for fast food and came with amazing service. I'm sure that if we are in the area again we will be back. read more

I've been here twice now, once with my mom and second time with my husband & kids. First time it went really well, went on a weekday & it was empty as we arrived a couple minutes after they open so service was quick and cashier was nice. I ordered a breakfast torta and my mom ordered some tacos both very delicious and we were both satisfied with our meal. Second time around I arrived during lunch hour & on a weekend. The place was packed but there still tables to sit. We did wait possibly 30-45ish minutes for are food, we didn't mind but were getting more hungry as the time went by. Husband got the taco plate that came with 3 tacos, rice and beans. My son got the flautas plate also came with 3 flautas, rice and beans and for myself I ordered the breakfast burrito w/ asada. We all enjoyed our meals and arrived hot when placed in front of us. I did ask for a second small plate so I can feed my daughter (1 1/2 year old) some rice and beans from my husband's plate but they never brought it out. Also, one other downside was that they didn't have more than 1 high chair & it was being used, so lucky the table wasn't so high for my daughter to reach and eat. I do wish more restaurants especially sit down restaurants had more high chairs or some sort of seating option for toddlers. Anyways, we left all with our bellies full. If we come back a third time I would probably try coming right when they open to avoid such a long wait time. read more

Lunch time and we wanted taco shop. This place is very new but does not disappoint. We ordered the rolled taco combo and a torta asada. The food was delicious. One bite of the beans and I was sent back to my childhood when my great grandmother would make her beans. The flavor is fabulous and old school. The rolled tacos are made in house with hand pulled chicken. The torta was fresh and put together with care. The service was excellent, she made recommendations and offered to replace items if we didn't like it. The ambiance is quiet with Spanish music playing in the background. Great food, even better service. Casual taqueria with a decent amount of seating but seems to be new. I came on Tuesday and they had $1.50 tacos for taco Tuesday so I ordered 3 and they were tasty! Perfect corn tortillas. I did come for breakfast tacos and they don't have those so that was a little disappointing. They only have breakfast tortas but I enjoyed my tacos and would definitely recommend. While I was waiting they brought out a fried tortilla with a little refried beans spread on it on the house and that was possibly my favorite and proof of how good every thing else on the menu probably is. I ordered the quesa birria tacos but they had practically no meat so I was eating quesadillas.... This is a one and done for my family and I. We stopped here while traveling on HWY 99 and we were pleased to find a CLEAN and cozy environment (bathrooms were clean too) We ordered the asada burritos, the carnitas, and the chicken quesadillas and everything was delicious and well seasoned. I tried this spot for the first time today, my friend and I went in on a Saturday morning around 10am. It was not busy at all and the staff were all extremely helpful and sweet. We ordered a new item on their menu, the green chilaquiles, which were phenomenal. They also allowed substitutions on their new item which was a plus!!
