I stopped by this spot specifically to check out their Taco Tuesday deal, featuring $1.70 tacos. I placed an order for one asada and two beef tacos. The service was great, the lady inside who took our order was very nice and welcoming. The Build: Each taco came on standard tortillas loaded with your choice of meat, priced at a super low entry point for the Tuesday special. The Flavor Profile: Taste-wise, the tacos were actually pretty good. The absolute highlight was the red taco sauce, which had a really great flavor and brought some excellent heat to the plate. The only real letdown was the size, they were just so dang small. Even at only $1.70 each, I was expecting a bit more substance to them. I left feeling like I just needed bigger tacos to actually satisfy the craving. The Verdict: While the flavors were solid and the price is hard to beat, the miniature portions mean this probably won't become a regular spot for me. If I do ever come back, it would strictly be to grab a quick, cheap bite on a Tuesday.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and grabbed a few tacos on Taco Tuesday! The meat is great quality and so well seasoned! They are quite generous with the meat and garnishes. I also switched my tortillas to flour rather than corn. Though the tortillas weren't homemade, they were warmed up well. Service was quick and friendly and there's plenty of space to eat!

This little place did not disappoint! We were driving home and wanted tacos, fast and easy. We each got a 3 taco meal and the beans were delish, rice was nice. I got the chile verde (a little spicy), chicken and pastor. I loved the chile verde! My gut got 3 asada tacos and said they were tasty! We'll be back next time we run through Bakersfield! Service was exceptional and the owner (I believe) let us try their fresh made tortillas with cheese just to try them. The inside is super clean! Yummmm...

    It was my lucky day!

Staying at a nearby hotel and this seemed like the best (maybe only) restaurant in the area so I stopped in. It is located in a gas station store front so I wasn't expecting much. The folks inside were very friendly and my carne Asada tacos were made fresh right in front of me. It just happened to be "taco Tuesday" so I got three and was not at all disappointed. Authentic to the core and no regrets here. Caution: i'm not sure if every day their tacos are served on 4 inch tortilla shells, but I can tell you tonight on taco Tuesday they were. So if you have a strong appetite, definitely want to factor that in.

High 4 stars! Place was clean, spacious, and service was nice and fast. Bathrooms were clean. Happened to come on Taco Tuesday for $1.70 tacos! They offer a huge list of meats. I got one of each: chicken, abado, asada, and carnitas. All were good! The salsa is packaged, which makes it easy to grab and take to go.

One chicken and one pastor taco.

We were in the mood for tacos. Looked up some places and stumbled across this place. Full of seating and make to order food. They cook right in front of you. We each got the 5 tacos for $9.99. One Chile verde, 2 chicken and 2 pastor. I ate 3 prior to remembering to take a picture. Food came out fast and hot. Good flavors, nice portions and friendly staff. We will come back to try some of their seafood options!!

I decided to try this place on taco Tuesday. They have 1.70 tacos on Tuesdays. I ordered three tacos, pastor, carne asada & carnitas. The corn tortillas were fresh, the carne asada and the pastor were both very good. The carnitas were extremely dry, I couldn't even chew them. They do give you plenty of meat on the tacos. The salsa is prepackaged but tasty. They charge $4.50 for their fountain drinks, way too much in my opinion. The restaurant is nice and clean and decorated nicely. The bathrooms are clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. I will go back and try some other items. Hopefully the carnitas will improve and they will lower the price of their fountain drinks, they charge almost as much for them as they do their bottled beer.

    Complimentary Tostada

Stopped by Taco House for lunch and overall had a pretty decent experience. The asada was tasty and seasoned just right, which is always a win. You can tell they know how to get the flavor right. The service was super friendly, everyone was nice, and the lady even brought me a complimentary tostada, which was a really cool and appreciated touch. The tostada itself was good and definitely a nice bonus. The place itself is pretty basic and average, nothing fancy, just simple dining, clean, and straight to the point. Overall, good food, great people, and a solid spot for a casual bite. Not mind-blowing, but definitely respectable. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 and would come back when I'm in the mood for something simple and convenient.

    Beer and tostada (gratis)

Service was spot on. Loved the tacos, tried chili verde-chicken-carne asada. All were grilled and made fresh. Owner (I think) made sure I had toppings and salsa. I even got a little tostada with refried beans (gratis) which was delicious. 4 stars instead of 5 mainly becuase of the nacho cheese dispenser, prepacked salsa. When I went it was slow so I hope they find their audience soon and make it. Inside was clean and restrooms spotless.

Take out, chicken, asada, and corn quesadillas one with chili verde and one with chicken. Pot beans and rice.

I'm just really in search of a good taco place, like always. I mean now that I can't even think about eating gluten and dairy is a no-no, tacos are a go-go! I decided to stop in after a quick Costco run. Then get take out, no cooking tonight! First, the staff is so nice, they make you feel welcomed and that's so rare in a fast-service restaurant. They recommended some items and I got to ordering. The chili verde is new on the menu, so I got that. Plus some chicken and beef tacos. Yum! The chili verde was so good, not fatty and in smaller chunks. I got it in a corn tortilla quesadilla. Delish! The tacos are good and have plenty of protein, then there's an area to add onions, cilantro, and grab salsa. Perfect! The pot beans were really good! And the rice too. What makes this five stars for me is the combination of great food and service. You can order online and pick up, the dining are is also large enough for a big group. They also have a taco Tuesday special! Order through clover: https://www.clover.com/online-ordering/taco-house-inc-bakersfield?employee_id=GC0MEJPHJMSW8&order_type=dine_in I recommend the chili verde and chicken tacos.

Little bean tostada the owner brings out to you for your first time in the establishment. Super nice of her to do that!
    DeAndre K.

Overall experience excellent! Right as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted with a warm smile and how am I doing today! I had no idea what to order since it was my first time in the establishment. The nice lady at the register suggested some options, turns to find out I was speaking with the owner! That was a plus. I ordered 4 chicken tacos, a chicken quesadilla and to drink an Horchata. Price ran me about $32.00 dollars. Crazy thing is they don't let you tip! Food was great, chicken was tender and to be honest it was more on the healthier side of mexican food. 5 stars, will definitely be back!

Mulitas; one beef , one pork.
    Andrea W.

Owners are so proud to share that their food is fresh and made from scratch. One recipe is from the owner's grandmother. The mulitas were delicious. I just wish they were more filling. My friend ordered the watermelon water her favorite. She ordered frijoles and said they were very good. She had shrimp tacos with corn tortillas and wished she had been offered corn tortillas. She didn't care for the breading on the shrimp. That's because she prefers grilled shrimp.

    Asada tacos, yummy salsa.
    Yvonne J.

First time here, decent tacos, loved the red and green salsa. Will be back to try something else.

A Delicious Stop After the Farmer's Market!…read more Stopped by Mas Bella after the farmer's market and had such a great meal! We started with three drinks: the Tullum Bloom, Strawberry Margarita, and Strawberry Lemon Drop. All three were delightfully fruity and refreshing, making it hard to pick a favorite! For food, we ordered the birria bao buns, shrimp bao bun, chile relleno, crispy beef taco with refried beans and rice, and camarones with refried beans and soft tortillas. The birria bao bun was my absolute favorite! The mini bao is packed with flavorful birria, and I absolutely loved the consommé they serve alongside it for dipping. It's such a fun combination, and that consommé takes the bao to another level. I also really enjoyed that they make their salsas in-house. They served both a verde and a roasted red salsa with the buns, and both were delicious. The chile relleno was another standout. That melted, cheesy goodness inside was everything you want from a chile relleno! The crispy beef taco was an unexpected winner. It was served with what seemed to be the same delicious birria-style beef, so it was instantly a favorite. The crispy shell paired perfectly with the tender, flavorful meat. The camarones with soft tortillas were also really good. The shrimp were well seasoned, and the soft tortillas made them perfect for building little tacos.

Shrimp skewers I was told was okay but even that had more veggies than actual shrimps. The rice wasn't cooked all the way. The presentation on nachos was excellent but the nachos were gross. No flavor in guacamole. Beans were plain beans bland af. The chicken wasn't seasoned and had an awful charbroiled taste, just awful! The salsa weren't spicy or tasty. I can only recommend this place for a good happy hour spot because prices are outrageous for drinks. Once again they should've focused on the food than the decor.
