I really liked Taco Dans... The staff was super friendly and made me and wifie feel at home. The food recommendations were spot on so we both really liked the food. Their nachos are huge and the tacos were really good. They are who they are really well... meaning this is a hole in the wall taco shop that is hard to find because it is located in,a converted house that caters to college students so if you are looking for fancy this is not it. This is a really cool place with great food and a friendly staff. Worth at try...

Taco Dans is a very unique Mexican restaurant in Granville. It's located inside a converted old house. There's a thrift shop sharing the space with it. It may be hard to find because it's not obvious to see, except for the small sign that's out front. The menu isn't big but it's fresh and not too expensive, and the staff is so chillax here. I ordered the vegetable tacos. It's usually about $8 which is more than fast food Mexican like shit, but they were a good size and came with lots of fillings. The margaritas are a must try. It didn't take all that long to get the food. The service improves of course when it's not busy. It's not a big space at all, so if you're there when it's busy you may have to be squished next to those at another table. The staff is fairly laid back here. It's kind of a come in and don't give a fuck kind of place. This fits in well with the college town. I would recommend a visit at Taco Dans if you're in Granville. It's probably the best Mexican restaurant in town. The margaritas and tacos are good for the price, and the staff is great as well.

Chill spot. Divey, in the sense of relaxing. Pool table at the front, bar is through what might have been the living room, small kitchen with window for ordering Dan's offerings back in that nook. Beer bottles all around showcasing what they have. And a myriad of seating vesicles all about. A college spot? I can see how many consider this eatery a "college hangout", it is in Granville, which is largely supported by Denison University. So, the statement is somewhat expected. I was headed to another establishment for an early dinner, so it was nice to stop by and talk with one of the kitchen crew. I was treated to a sample of TD's guacamole. Ok Gwen, so. What's the big deal! TD's guacamole is made to order. MADE. TO. ORDER. No old brownish tones. No souring tastes. Fresh scooped avocado, fresh squeezed lemon juice, some paprika? amongst other dashes. A little more salt? would have made me a complete follower when the Red Sea parts. Good chips, too. Thin - no one likes the concession stand nacho chips anymore, America! Im starting in kinda late, when it comes to getting to know Granville. However, thus far, I've had positive experience and definitely look forward to coming back to Taco Dan's and trying a few things on their chalkboard menu.

We love the Taco people. Dan, Barb Sam and Abby!!!!! Kick ass drinks so order with caution!! Cool patio and good food. My hometown favorite.

Last time my husband and I were here, we split an order of nachos, and they were out of this world. This place is definitely nothing to look at, but it's certainly interesting. It's in a very old, worn out house. As a matter of fact I think everything in the house is old and worn out. But I think you will feel that just makes the place interesting, if new and fancy is not that important to you. Here's what seems to be important to the people running the place: 1. Making good food (by hand) 2. Being friendly We started out this time with an order of chips and the medium (tomato) salsa. Delicious salsa, with lots of fresh garlic. My husband ordered a chicken chimmichamga and I ordered a chicken quesadilla. Warning... big portions, enough to share. My husband gives his chimmichanga four stars only because he prefers his with queso on top and this didn't come that way. My quesadilla was excellent, with very tender chicken. We will definitely be back!

I wish this place was closer to downtown Columbus. Such a neat little "hole in the wall" Mexican restaurant/bar. We went there randomly on a Tuesday so it was empty but I could see it being really cool at night. The food was so good too... I would definitely go back.

Great nostalgic college bar with an eclectic decor. Large selection of beer and pitchers of specialty drinks. Friendly family owned restaurant and bar. Great tacos, quesadillas, guacamole and salsa. There are some electronic games and a pool table. Taco Dans is a very fun place.

Local drafts available.

Great experience here. Staff was awesome. I was there during a slow part of the day so I had the place to myself. Fun, neat spot that exceeded expectations. Would love to come back when it's jumping and have a few craft beers [there are plenty]!

The food was good, but the service was terrible. The guy that took my order seemed like he was annoyed I stopped by for food.

Don't miss it. The only thing better than the beer is the tacos. Dan's "deep south" touch is delightful.

The drinks also are incredible and the interior vibe is funky and fun. Service was friendly and prompt, but the fact that the restaurant does NOT allow reservations is a HUGE deterrent. My friend group planned our visit and drove a long distance to dine here. Unfortunately we had to wait an hour and a half for a table. The restaurant did not have an adequate waiting space so we had to stand outside in the cool evening temperatures with our group including pregnant and disabled women. I certainly hope the restaurant will consider reservation options; this would allow us to visit much more frequently! Perhaps reservations could require a credit card hold and a late fee - just anything that keeps groups from having to wait so long would be wonderful! This place deserves 5 stars if they could resolve the reservation issue!

The Pub on Broadway has been a staple since 2005, with good reason. The bar is a work of art, with warm hardwood features and a great selection of options. The menu is diverse, including Brussels sprouts topped with hot honey ($5), a bourbon-bacon burger made with sauteed mushrooms & onions, lettuce, sliced tomatoes, house-made bourbon sauce, and provolone, $19), a Pub-made mac & cheese entrée (house-made five cheese blend sauce, cavatappi pasta, topped with shredded cheddar-jack, served with toasted focaccia bread, $17), a full pizza menu, and a kids' menu with hot dogs, grilled cheese, buttered noodles, and chicken tenders ($7-8). I was moderately hungry, so I ordered a cup of chili ($7) and a side of battered fries ($5), along with a cider and bourbon boilermaker. Service was excellent, there was no waiting for a table around noon, and both selections came out piping hot. The chili was true comfort food, and the sandwich was sized so that I could have the second half the following day. The seating is spacious, sound level permits a conversation at normal levels, and the restroom was well-maintained and clean. It's good to know that the community supports this long-time favorite.

If you're looking for a spot that consistently hits the mark on both flavor and atmosphere,…read moreElliot's Wood Fired Kitchen & Tap is a must-visit. Whether it's a mid-week dinner or a weekend hangout, they managed to nail the "elevated neighborhood gem" vibe perfectly. The Food The star of the show is undoubtedly the wood-fired pizza. You can taste the authenticity in the crust--perfectly charred with that signature smoky finish you can only get from a real wood oven. The toppings are fresh, and the balance of flavors shows they aren't just making pizza; they're perfecting it. On the lighter (but equally delicious) side, the fish tacos are a standout. It's rare to find a wood-fired joint that treats seafood with this much respect. The fish is always flaky and fresh, complemented by bright, crisp toppings that make for a perfect contrast to the rich, smoky pizzas. The Service What truly sets Elliot's apart, though, is the bar staff. The service here is consistently top-notch. The team is incredibly knowledgeable--whether you're looking for a specific craft beer pairing or a recommendation from their cocktail list, they know the menu inside and out. It's the kind of place where the staff makes you feel like a regular from your very first visit. Final Verdict: Excellent food, a great tap list, and a team that actually knows their stuff. Elliot's is easily a 5-star experience.

We came at 6 on a Friday, and there were several parties but it wasn't busy. Only one server it seemed, and she was busy but kept up on things, with some help from the manager and other staff. Nice to see management jumping in and actually helping. They had a special St. Patrick's Day menu for the weekend, and everything on there looked good. Sweetie went with fish and chips, and they were pretty good. A little overcooked maybe, at least the batter, but the fish was tender and it was all tasty. K had cheese pizza, and fries. Decent kids menu, and decent food. A coloring menu and crayons are always nice. I had the corned beef and colcannon, and it was excellent. Loads of meat, with a sweet and savory sauce. Lots of perfect colcannon, with potatoes/parsnips/cabbage/leeks. Yum. They had a mix-up and started that late, so they gave us a free dessert. They also all looked good, and we went with the cherry bread pudding, which was excellent. Bread was many mini loaves, good enough to hold you till the app. Which I forgot about: Sweetie and I shared Brussels sprouts. Very good, with shaved parm on top. We all had leftovers (of the entrees, not the sprouts) for lunch the next day. Service was great, the setting is nice. Several seating options, including igloos in the courtyard. We also had breakfast here, free with vouchers from staying in the hotel, and it was a step above the usual hotel breakfast. Same kind of items, but better quality. AYCE, for $15 if you're paying separately, and though of course you pay one way or another it was worth it. We'd definitely come back. Really only came because it was handy, but way better than expected, and part of a nice stay at the hotel.
