A straight up guilty pleasure of mine, I think of it as taco bell copycat but with a more simplistic menu. Not to mention tastier beef. It's mainly ground beef tacos but pretty addicting. I always get a soft and hard taco as my go-to order which are topped with heavy amounts of shredded cheese and lettuce before I squeeze on all that taco sauce. The taste gives me those homemade taco tuesday feelings with the ground beef and taco seasoning. Also tried the taco lite on my last visit which is a larger hard taco with tomatoes and sour cream added; pretty solid banger. I'm usually ordering through the drive-thru which moves quickly. I get the same lady who takes my order. Whenever I'm in Lufkin and I stop here, she hooks it up with extra sauce. While it's not something you would normally seek out, you sometimes have taco casa cross your mind cause you want that addicting taco taste they offer. read more

Best tacos in town. Great service and is always clean. It's a little more expensive, but totally worth it. I love the tacos and burritos.

Slow crap service thought you would be better than Taco Bell but you want too not put two of the 4 burritos in bag! I call they want to say can't refund your money or give you the missing food unless you have receipt well paid with a card and was handed back just my card didn't think about it figured receipt was in with food! Really didn't cross my mind well I wasn't given a receipt so they screwed me out of my money and half my order! Atleast you put wife's food in bag! Was really excited to try this place out for lunch on my way through town but was disappointed. For starters there are not many options. Taco, burrito, nachos, or salad. My burrito was around $2.50 and was comprised of mostly sour cream. The quality of food was on par with Taco Bell but more expensive and less flavor. read more

Being relatively new to Lufkin, and Texas, for that matter, we are trying as many places as possible to find our ultimate faves. During a church service that we attended the pastor spoke of the great tacos at Taco Casa and this led us to try this establishment. I got 3 hard tacos and some refried beans and my husband got a burrito. Let me tell you...the tacos were so good with loads of meat and cheese ! The hamburger was season well. I will definitely come here for fast food tacos. They are the best I have ever had. And my refried beans were very good too. I definitely recommend this place for fast Mexican food. read more

Taco Casa is like a better version of Taco Bell, but still typical "fast food" tex-mex. Their tacos are larger than those at Taco Bell and are stuffed with meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato and sour cream. The same goes for their burritos -- larger, meatier versions of other fast-food chain favorites. Wish they had more locations. I live in Houston and stop by the one in Lufkin every time I'm in the area. read more

As far as fast food Tex-Mex goes, Taco Casa has the formula down pat. I've only ever used the drive-thru, but every time the service has been fast, accurate, and nice. Can't ask for much more than that. The food's pretty solid, too. You're not gonna get anything unusual or creative, per se, but standard soft and hard tacos, burritos, etc. are on the menu. It's a lot like Taco Bell, but seemingly less corporate. read more

Taco Casa is awesome. I live within walking distance of here and come quite often. They have never once gotten my order incorrect, and the staff is always friendly and personable. I have seen the owner/manager (whoever he is) himself man the register's or step back to prepare food himself if the need arises, which is a good quality in all management; most managers would rather hold down an office chair than do work, but he is a hardworking good man and has chosen is work staff well. The prices here don't make my pocket hurt, and the food doesn't cause the nasty Thunder Down Under like Taco Bell, if you know what I mean. Which is a huge blessing for everyone. read more

Twice I have came to this place and have gotten home with out items I ordered. Maybe just maybe if the crew were more engaged in getting orders right instead of acting immature customers would receive accurate orders. While acting immature I witness them just throwing items in a box and calling it good. On top of no staff wearing face masks while handling food or at the window. Love me some Taco Casa but the counter help could at least pretend to be interested in helping customers. You don't have to kiss my butt but you could at least crack half a smile and not roll your eyes if I ask a question. I have been to this particular Taco Casa several times. I have never had any issues. Tonight, however, was different. I sent my daughter to taco casa. We spent almost $30. She got home and the 6 tacos she had ordered were not in the bag. I immediately called, and informed them we hadn't received the tacos in our bag. The girl answering the phone said all of our team members remember putting the tacos in the bag. I proceeded to tell her, maybe they accidentally put the tacos in the next cars bag, but they were not in ours. She went on to basically act like I'm a liar, and say I just don't understand how my crew says they put the tacos in your bag, but you don't have them. I will give them this, I sent my daughter back, 20 minutes away, and they gave me the tacos. But I truly have no respect for someone who basically calls you a liar. I live too far from town to have to waste the gas money to get what I paid for. Check your cameras taco casa, and see for yourself that your crew messed up. Don't blame the customer. read more
