This location is inside of a gas station but they have their own dining area. We were greeted as soon as we neared the order counter and cashier answered all of our questions about the menu. I had the carne asada burrito and a chicken empanada. The burrito was packed full of meat, veggies and sauce. I added a little hot salsa they provided for free and it was great. The empanada was filled with shredded chicken and cheese but not much flavor. My wife had a spicy chicken taco and a chipotle chicken taco. The spicy chicken was flavorful and probably our favorite of the entire meal. The chipotle chicken was just not our thing. read more

I have had Taco Bus a couple of times but first time at this location. Food came out quickly and the free chips and salsa was a nice surprise. The chips were good once we added salt to them. My quesadilla was okay but it would have been better if it was a little crispier and it really needed quac or sour cream but it didn't come with anything. Tacos were good. Plenty of seating inside this location. It's in the gas station so atmosphere is a little weird. But if you are nearby and need a quick meal at any time of day or night, it's a good option. read more

Not too long ago, I noticed this spot as a restaurant but never got around to trying it. The restaurant either closed or relocated, so I lost track of it, but now I believe they operate out of gas stations or food trucks. The location we visited was in a gas station. It has a charming vibe, with ample parking available around the gas station, and there's seating inside where you can enjoy your meal at the Taco Bus. The place was well-maintained, so we decided to eat there. They offer a pretty extensive Mexican menu, including wings. I went for the 'El Burrito Bol,' which comes with Mexican rice, black beans, and your choice of protein; I chose steak, and it was topped with lettuce, cheese, and pico de gallo. They definitely don't skimp on the meat, which I appreciated. My wife opted for the Tostada, a flat tortilla loaded with refried beans, ground beef (other protein options are available), veggies, and finished off with sour cream and cheese. My son chose the Burrito Preñado with ground beef but no beans. He was a bit put off by the corn in his burrito. It seems they also mix corn into their Mexican rice, along with peas and carrots. Personally, I enjoyed it. Their prices are reasonable. For comparison, Taco Bell has a dish called 'The Cantina Chicken Bowl' that costs $8.00, while the El Burrito Bol is $8.00 on Fridays it's usually $9.99 on other days. Given the portion size and quality of the food, it's an easy choice. I'd gladly pay the extra $2.00 for the 'El Burrito Bol' any day. Not a lot of places are open in this area after 9-10pm. I looked on Yelp to try to find something and this place showed up as 24/7. I looked at the picture's & immediately decided to go there when I saw elotes! The place is inside of a gas station. It's nice and bright & clean. When you go in they have displays that allow you to place your order. There was 1 guy in the kitchen and he didn't say much to the customers. So many of us had questions but he seemed too busy to help any of the customers while he was cooking. I placed my order on the kiosk and waited for about 10-15 mins for my order. Once the food was ready the guy finally spoke and apologized about the wait. I almost gave this place 2 stars because of the customer service BUT when he finally spoke I felt 'seen' if that makes sense. I ordered elotes, quesadillas & chips. I can't speak on the quesadillas because they weren't for me but my kids seemed to enjoy them. The chips were ok & the elotes were ok. The food is Authentic , I ordered the chimichanga and the queso they put on top is the BEST queso i've ever had. Maybe it's an original recipe but I devoured it. The size as well was extremely huge so just one is good for two people. The owners were nice , they're really wholesome and yes the restaurant is connected in with a gas station but that's the idea it's a taco bus. This restaurant is located inside of a gas station. Most people take out from here as it is located in a convenience store. However the tables and restaurant was very clean and there were no parts that grossed me out. The food at this place was great! It was very vegetarian friendly but also had many meat options. I would definitely eat here again it is a very casual, quick food spot. read more

Nice late night spot as there is not much to eat in the area after 9pm. Like that they have multiple vegan and plant based options. Went on a Thursday and they had .99 empanadas. The shrimp taco was very good, shrimp were very large. Had the plant based steak and it was very salty, wouldn't order it again as it had a weird consistency. While it is inside a gas station, Taco Bus pay homage to their food truck beginning by bringing a design of a food truck where you walk up and order. Look, this is not the most authentic or the best Mexican food that you will find. However, for a chain restaurant located inside a gas station, this is a pretty cool place. If you are in the area, go check them out if you are craving a burrito or a Taco. Overall, I will give them four stars overall. read more

What restaurant open late on a weekend doesn't have a manager, or at least a supervisor with register codes on a Friday night at 8:30pm...especially when you're located across from a 15k seat amphitheater and fairgrounds! Need I say more?! I feel for the poor restaurant employees who don't have the tools or training to take care of their customers properly. Especially when they haven't even been properly trained in the menu pricing! Long story short, I was over charged for an item on the menu and the guy tried to tell me that "oh the posted menu was wrong." I had to pull up the website and show him on the self serve kiosk otherwise. Once he finally realized it I was right, no manager was available to correct it and over 45 mins of texting with someone later and still is not 2 hours later. This is the second time I've had an issue here. The first time I reached out not once but twice via social media, and left a voicemail to never be responded to. Don't waste your time or money. By far the worst "Mexican" food we've ever eaten! The guy at the register didn't know the menu. When we ordered a carne asada chimichanga, he asked, what is that. We should've known then it was time to go. My hubby ordered the carne asada chimichanga and I ordered the seafood burrito with two beef empanadas. All of the food outside of the beef empanadas had absolutely zero flavor. No salt, no pepper, no nothing. Not to mention, my seafood burrito had an abundance of water spilling out of it. The meat to burrito ratio was none existent. There was barely any meat in both burritos. The guacamole is green spread. No where near what guacamole is. The salsa was too hot to even eat with no flavor. The guy cooking the food looked so sad like he didn't want to be there. The one star is for the beef empanadas and cleanliness of the restaurant for it to be in a gas station. We wish we would've just ordered a bag of different empanadas and nothing else to save $30+ for garbage. The dough was flakey and the filling was flavorful. Awful. The service is the slowest I've ever seen. The meat is dry and chewy. The tacos taste bland and gentrified. You're not given any sauce or toppings for tacos. You can never get anyone on the phone if there is an issue with your order. We placed our order online and had to wait over an hour to get our order, even after confirming with the SINGLE employee that was on the clock. The employee continued to prioritize the in-store orders, even though the orders are taken on an iPad system and do not necessitate his direct and immediate attention. After clearing out the dozen people who ordered over 40 minutes after we did, the employee asked us if we needed anything. We stated just our order which we have been waiting over and hour for, to which he said "I know you ordered online to make it faster" and explained that he did everyone's order before us for some indiscernible reason. Yes sir, online orders are placed to be quicker, which is why most businesses prioritize them. The food was fine, but the service inattentive and the employee seems to lack appropriate training to handle the restaurant alone. I search out amazing gas stations finds and Taco Bus fits the bill. A wide menu of proteins to add to various tortilla forms. Taco, burritos, bowls etc. The mushrooms and butternut squash are my favorite taco or burrito additions. I always get a huge size of guacamole which I will eat during my next meal since the portion sizes are huge. The service is always kind. This was my very first time here and Oh I'm a fan! And I will say I have to try it one more time because when I tried it I was VERY hungry -- and you know things taste succulent when you're real hungry. I order a Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla -- it was really good. My only problem, or new thing to consider is that the Quesadilla wasn't flattened the best and the chicken was falling out and it got a little messy. (That's why I had to give it 4 stars) NonetheLESS I ate it all and it filled me up for sure! I will definitely be trying them out again. I went in the other night around 8-9 pm and they only had one gentleman working, doing both cooking and manning the register. This place is AMAZING! My brother and I were visiting from TX to attend SMF and we thought we would stop by for a quick bite. The fact that they had a bus inside a store immediately intrigued us because we love unique and interesting things and let me tell you, I was absolutely BLOWN away by the amount of options and quality ingredients they had! I'll start with saying if you want authentic Mexican, this is not the place. But if you're looking for variety, lots of vegan options, and average Americanized Mexican food, do it. It's 11pm, we just got out of next big thing and we're trying to find somewhere that had vegan options. Obviously this was the move. Got in and they didn't have any of the vegetarian options, or steak. Sounds like it was an off night for them. So I went ahead and ordered a quesadilla with vegan cheese and added beans. My boyfriend ordered the el jefe and wanted queso on top. I did not get my receipt from the cashier, Christopher. But the nice lady after me handed it to me. This process has also happened with people in front of us. They called our number and I grabbed our food. After opening my quesadilla, I discovered it had both regular cheese and chicken. Big old nope. So I went back up to get it fixed. Meanwhile, a friend that i had made in line was complaining because he didn't get his food, ordered the chicken quesadilla and did not get a receipt. The cashier kept rudely saying he had given him a receipt and arguing with us when we said he hadn't handed them to multiple people. He was being a pretty big dick. The girl who remade my food was super nice. She double and triple checked with me on what I wanted and kept verifying that i wanted it to be vegan. She also apologized repeatedly and very much saved the situation. Not sure if it was an off night or if Christopher is normally this abrasive but that attitude needs to go. I love Taco Bus. But this particular location is a constant disappointment. I ordered the El Jefe burrito. Huge burrito, two meats, very filling...at other Taco Bus locations. At this location, you get and XXL tortilla...half empty, half full of beans and rice with a lite dusting of meat. And I ordered WITHOUT BEANS. You don't see this many empty folds in a Taco Bell burrito. Not to mention they wrapped it in just foil and cut it thru it with what had to be a serrated knife cuz there were little bits of foil in the first couple bites. And for $15 you should be ashamed of yourselves. I don't know how the service is in the day time but do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place at night. It'll ruin your whole vibe. We ordered 3 sets of tacos - 1 was completely correct, 1 was missing the cheese, and the last 1 was completely incorrect (protein, toppings, tortilla type all wrong). We called the store and they were not understanding what I explained over and over, and they did not offer a solution. I got a refund through uber eats and reordered the one set of tacos. Once we got the correct order, everything was great. Loved the vegan steak and plant fare!
