I really like this Taco Bueno. It's fast, good food for not a ton of money, and the staff always seems like the best in the fast food business. You can understand them, they repeat your order back and get it right the first time, and they're friendly when you get to the window, even though by then they've had to move on to the next customer. All of this adds up to the most important aspect of fast food: I've never gotten home with a wrong order, or without something I ordered. This is a feat since I've been coming here since high school. You always end up waiting a few minutes longer, but I honestly find that reassuring. I don't really want to eat something that was totally ready to go before I ever order it. Mexi Dips and Chips is always a good choice, especially if you can share with someone else. I love their platters, but they are such a calorie bomb, I usually stick with chicken soft tacos, which are really not that bad for you. Minus one star for a bit of a lack of flavor in the chicken that goes into my standard order of the chicken soft tacos. I always wish it were either more seasoned, or grilled, or just more flavorful in some way. This is either boiled or poached or something, seemingly without salt or anything. This could use an upgrade. read more

Just wanted to update my review from 7 years ago. They have improved greatly. We hadn't been back in years they were so bad but we wanted to try the Frito Burrito. The change in the store is great. We ordered immediately and got our food quickly. The store manager cane out and talked to us. He just started there and is working to improve the store and asked if we had any suggestions for changes. He's doing a great job. The Frito Burrito was good but not great. It seemed really expensive for the size of the burrito. We will definitely go back to this Bueno but will order something else. read more

We stopped in for a quick lunch noticed that they now are serving taquitos (your choice of chicken or beef). I ordered the Taquito Combo which was two beef taquitos, one beef crispy taco and your choice of beverage. The taquito was freshly fried flour tortilla, stuffed with beef, and my choice of dipping sauces was guacamole. The guacamole was creamy with chunks of avocado. It was very good. The beef crispy taco was great. The friendly staff will tell you be careful, the taquitos are just out of the fryer. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. This Bueno location has been bad for YEARS! Every time I try to give them another try, I regret it. This location is the laziest one I've ever experienced. I worked in fast food for years in my teens. How hard is the job really? You read a ticket. No real room for error. They never make any modifications requested, such as removing tomatoes from an item. Why even give someone the choice if you aren't going to do it? They NEVER give us salsa whether we ask in the drive thru or even on DoorDash. They act like it's coming directly out of their check. They never add onions to anything. This place needs to be shut down or just start over completely. It's known in town as the bad Bueno yet somehow remains open. I'm am so over not having a good location near me. Walked in and 2 cars in drive thru... 3 cars in parking lot.... shockingly - It was super slow.... And my chips and queso came with no queso... So back up to the counter I go. I'm thinking the workers are here for a paycheck. Some members slipped of to the parking lot for a "SMOKE" break if you know what I mean.... If you come inside be prepared to wait ... A while... Mine took 10 minutes just to get our order. Drive thru was moving kinda slow also. I'm not sure who is in charge...but I can't see many positive reviews about this place. This taco place needs to be shut down or get competent management or staff. For some strange reason, this taco bueno is the worst I've ever had. I know I should have ordered from a different place, but I made the mistake of ordering from this one. I ordered online five party burritos, four party tacos without lettuce or tomato, and two cheese quesadillas without chicken. Here's the deal with any fast food businesses all you have to do is follow the directions and do your job with purpose. Period. (Intent and purpose.) I received my five party burritos and quesadilla and walked to my vehicle. (A small whisper: check your bag.) No tacos (no big deal). I went back inside and they got me the rest of the order. When I got home, my kids were hungry. My son said, "Dad, there's chicken in this quesadilla." (I know my kids are picky, and it drives me nuts.) Nonetheless, (the quesadillas were messed up, and I should have checked) I said, "No worries, eat some tacos. Hey dad, there's no cheese, smh." You see the issue. Consistently terrible. I've gone here for 5+ years and it consistently slow. Today we waited over 30 min for our order in the drive through after ordering, but it's happened many times. I'd venture to say most of the local population knows to avoid this one. Today, they were out of lids for med. and small cups so they said we could pay for a large or just take it without a lid. When handing it to us it spilled all down the car and they didn't offer napkins. Our order was also wrong, but when I went back in they remade it quickly. If I could give this location zero stars I would. I'm going to sound so fat right now but waiting 30+ minutes for fast food is insane. This has happened multiple times and it has gotten up to 42 minutes on one occasion. I don't know if it's the poor management or the lack of employees. My wife and I enjoy visiting this particular restaurant, but troubles plagued this visit. I will say that the counter help is young and apparently doesn't care about the customers. After ordering, I noticed that my item was entered wrong and my senior discount was missing. I immediately went back to the counter and waited 14 minutes until the same person came back. I explained the correction on the order and he walked away muttering something. When my order arrived, it was still wrong. Then I looked at the receipt and noticed that they had charged me $2.29 for my wife's water! After all the problems, I didn't bother with these errors. While I was dumping the trash, I noticed the trash cans had beans smeared on the front of them. Nice final touch! Never got my senior discount either. Why should it take 25 minutes between the time I paid and received my receipt at the drive thru window before I received my food order? I was asked to pull around and park so they could bring the food out to me. I noticed many vehicles after me were also told the same thing. Then of course it was wrong as well. What was supposed to be a chicken wholotta platter came out as beef so they went back inside and took another five minutes to bring out the corrected item. I thought a chicken potato burrito came with more than just chicken but that's all that was on it.... Tortilla and some chicken? Also noticed I was charged for extra beans when I substituted rice for beans on a chilada platter....there was no shell containing queso in the wholotta platter. This location very slow. Took 10 minutes to get our food. The lobby was very dirty. The sauce bar was dirty and looked like it hadn't been refilled all day. Most of the employees were not working. So very disappointed. I grew up on Taco Bueno in Abilene. We now live in Houston but no Bueno's there. We visit OKC often and it is a must to eat at Bueno. We ordered our food to go. I got free tacos!! I left 10 Gym, and as I was heading home I got a craving for Mexican food and I Saul Del taco I've never been here before so I figured I'd give it a try. I ordered my food through the drive-through and when I got to the cashier I realized I didn't have my wallet. I asked her if I could give her my credit card number so she may manually enter it in her system. (I was calling my fiancé as I planned to ask him for the cc information to give her) cashier said she would ask her manager, came back and said she couldn't process a transaction that way. I frantically looked around my car to see if I had any spare cash and found a $20 bill. She saw me in my phone talking to my fiancé about the bill and as I gave her the $20 she gave it back to me and said don't worry I asked my manger and "we got you". It's on us! One old guy was waiting for his order quite awhile so long in fact another customer inquired to the lady worker about what was taking so long with his and everyone's order. The lady worker said out loud, you got a f...ing attitude. We were sitting the furthest away and my family heard this. Three young kids. The supervisor was told about what she said and she said something like you pulled me away from the drive through window. The front counter person who took our order, you could barely hear him. Mistakes were coming in and the line was getting longer, he looked defeated. A guy asked him how long until his order was done. Worker attempted to answer in a mumbling mess of unintelligible words. I'll give him credit for the attempt. The ceiling has water dripping in some areas. And filthy everywhere. Taco Bueno executives fix this fiasco or shut it down. Walked in and a girl met me at the door saying we're closed, I said oh I thought you closed at 11 she threw her had up and yelled were closed! She continues to yell this time saying get out just get out. The bueno on nw hwy used to be horrible. It would take them 20 min to make 2 burritos and something was alwways missing. So i quit going there a few months ago.
