The inside of the restaurant was nice and comparable to other fast food restaurants. The women's restroom had some issues (the large stall was out of order and the lock didn't align properly for the other) and the area has a lot of homeless people nearby (not the restaurant's fault). Overall, I enjoyed the food, there is a toppings bar to customize your meal and the staff is friendly. I would go again. read more

Stopped in for a quick bite and thought it was pretty good. I tried a carne asada taco and carne asada burrito. They both hit the spot. The salsa bar was also great. They have plenty of salsas to try. Overall I was really pleased with the experience. It's counter service and they call you when your order is ready. Service was pretty fast too. I've been on a mission lately to find the best tacos in Las Vegas, but while visiting Phoenix, I figured I'd check out a couple local spots. Taco Boys came highly recommended, and I can see why. I tried both the carne asada and the al pastor tacos, and they absolutely delivered. Each bite was bursting with flavor. The meat was seasoned so well that I didn't even think about reaching for salsa, which says a lot. The food here feels like it's on another level. We got 2 lbs of Protein Carne Asada and Chicken (comes with 15 flour and 15 corn tortillas), Chicken quesadilla, carne asada fries, etc. Loved the hibiscus aguas fresca. You go to the counter to order food and drinks. Then get your toppings and sauces at the cart. Then wait for the delicious food! We found this location as a recommended place to eat online while visiting AZ. This place didn't disappoint. It was a little small space to navigate parking wise but we were able to get a parking spot. There was a little line when we got there but it moved quickly. We placed our orders and while waiting helped ourselves to the free condiments area. Our order was ready in under 10 minutes. We took the food to go. It was even more crowded when we left. The food was very good. The large quesadillas were huge and fulfilling. I had to eat my chicken quesadilla in 2 settings. Tacos boys is one of my favorite spots in Phoenix. We did the drive thru this time, but typically we go inside. The service is friendly and fast. I had the Al pastor and Cabeza quesadillas. They were flavorful and cooked well. They give you salsa and limes and onion/cilantro through the drive thru, but when you go inside salsa and other toppings are self serve. You cannot go wrong coming here! There is plenty of seating inside and outside at this location and plenty of parking. This is a great, casual, taco spot. Highly recommend. read more

First time at Taco Boy's, have been meaning to try this place for many months. Off spring and I ordered an early weekend lunch. I had a barbacoa burrito. Offspring had a cheese quesadilla and carne taco. The burrito was very good, opened it up to put on the condiments, and folded it into a sandwich. Enough for two meals. My husband and I ordered pickup from here tonight, we had been hearing a lot about Taco Boys! My husband got carne asada tacos, I got a veggie burrito, and we got chips and salsa and a cheese quesadilla to share. The burrito was really simple, just fajita veggies, beans, and cheese, but it was really good and the veggies tasted fresh! The quesadilla was overly cheesy we thought and there was a piece of weird looking meat in it. Salsas were tasty! Our order was ready fast and it's not overly expensive. Had a late night craving for street tacos and this place hit the spot. The plates is a good deal as it offers 5 tacos that you make yourself. Play includes a stack of meat, 10 tortillas, and beans. They do not offer rice at this location. The Carne Asada was tender, but the chicken was a little bit overcooked so it was a little dry. Be aware that if you order to go, grab a bunch of sides from the bar. The tacos can make it and we did not know that when we got back to our hotel. Still very good. Service was excellent. I have been going to taco boys for over a year now. This has become one of my family's favorite restaurants. I Never had a problem at the camelback location but today I tried the other location. First off I was the only car in the drive thru line at 1:05 and it took nearly 30 mins to get my order. Leaving around 1:30. I had 4 orders and asked for extra guacamole salsa. The guys at the window gave me attitude and said "i can't give you more I'm going to have to charge you" and I told him he can charge me for it I don't care. I just want extra guacamole. He then decides to fill up the guacamole in a cup and mix it with water. I have came here 10+ times and have never tasted the guacamole salsa watered down like this. Carne asada is grilled over charcoal grill giving a nice smokey flavor. Personally, the cabeza is my favorite for its fatty richness. Always go for beans and cheese. There is a sauce bar with additional toppings like cilantro, onions, etc. Overall would back. read more

Grill the meats on mesquite and the flavor was perfect! Big portions didn't skimp on that meat!! Good prices too! Bathrooms are gross and you need a key (a big silver spoon with a tiny fob on it), which is disgusting because who knows who's handled it before you, gross. We decided to stop here at Taco Boy's for lunch and I wanted to walk in instead going through the drive-thru, since this was my first time visiting this establishment. I was glad we did. As soon as you walk into their restaurant you immediately have this smell of goodness. The place is more roomier than what it looks like from the outside. They even have outdoor seating and plenty of room as well. As we approached the counter to order they are ready to take your order. Since this was our first time here my focus was on the tacos. I went for the carne asada and the pollo tacos fajita style, and I was glad I did as they were delicious. Our order came out pretty fast. We also got a bunch of different condiments available to take to add more flavors to your tacos. You are given a choice of whether you want your tacos on corn or flour tortillas, I chose the corn tortillas. This is not a restaurant where the food comes to the table instead you pick it up at the counter where you order. We will return and maybe try something else but my first experience was their tacos are flavorful. Taco Boy's has two other locations and this is their most recent location. I'm told their downtown location is very busy and as time goes on I don't doubt this location will be just as busy as their other locations. read more

Their burritos are only meat and a tortilla. No rice? No cheese? It was a little underwhelming. Fixings are on the side but how the heck do you add them on a burrito after it's rolled? Also of note, my burrito was loosely rolled. I was fumbling it around and it was sloppy. Not the best burrito I've had. Average at best. Where do I begin. What is it with customer service now? Dang this kid acted like he was entitled. I had a terrible experience at Taco Boys. The cashier was incredibly rude from the moment I walked in. The staff acted like I was inconveniencing them just by asking to be helped. To top it off, when things went wrong, instead of apologizing or making it right, the guy behind the counter actually tried to bring God into it--as if that would excuse his attitude or lack of basic professionalism.
