The inside of the restaurant was nice and comparable to other fast food restaurants. The women's restroom had some issues (the large stall was out of order and the lock didn't align properly for the other) and the area has a lot of homeless people nearby (not the restaurant's fault). This Taco Boys location gave my whole office food poisoning and they have yet to try and do anything to make it right. 13 people in total got sick from the food. That is not a coincidence. They avoid responding to calls or submission to the contact form on their website and the store manager has been made aware of the situation, yet cannot (or will not?) do anything to address our concerns. Stopped in for a quick bite and thought it was pretty good. I tried a carne asada taco and carne asada burrito. They both hit the spot. The salsa bar was also great. They have plenty of salsas to try. Overall I was really pleased with the experience. It's counter service and they call you when your order is ready. Service was pretty fast too. Beware!! Ridiculous!! Used to love this place. Be careful now! They are up charging everything on the menu and not advising customers. The menu stated 10.99 for a burrito and they tried to charge me $14. They said prices had changed and a homeless stole their sign. Burritos used to include bean and cheese and now they charge 50 cents for each. In addition, the have a notice that says carne asada is an up charge, which I understand, but they are up charging far more than carne asada. The first time this happened I had noticed that the charges weren't making sense but I left it, thought maybe it was a mistake and did not want to go back. Second time around I made sure to ask questions. Go to Ta'Carbon, they are honest with their prices. read more

We found this location as a recommended place to eat online while visiting AZ. This place didn't disappoint. It was a little small space to navigate parking wise but we were able to get a parking spot. There was a little line when we got there but it moved quickly. We placed our orders and while waiting helped ourselves to the free condiments area. Our order was ready in under 10 minutes. We took the food to go. It was even more crowded when we left. The food was very good. The large quesadillas were huge and fulfilling. I had to eat my chicken quesadilla in 2 settings. Tacos boys is one of my favorite spots in Phoenix. We did the drive thru this time, but typically we go inside. The service is friendly and fast. I had the Al pastor and Cabeza quesadillas. They were flavorful and cooked well. They give you salsa and limes and onion/cilantro through the drive thru, but when you go inside salsa and other toppings are self serve. You cannot go wrong coming here! There is plenty of seating inside and outside at this location and plenty of parking. This is a great, casual, taco spot. Highly recommend. read more

First time at Taco Boy's, have been meaning to try this place for many months. Off spring and I ordered an early weekend lunch. I had a barbacoa burrito. Offspring had a cheese quesadilla and carne taco. The burrito was very good, opened it up to put on the condiments, and folded it into a sandwich. Enough for two meals. Had a late night craving for street tacos and this place hit the spot. The plates is a good deal as it offers 5 tacos that you make yourself. Play includes a stack of meat, 10 tortillas, and beans. They do not offer rice at this location. The Carne Asada was tender, but the chicken was a little bit overcooked so it was a little dry. Be aware that if you order to go, grab a bunch of sides from the bar. The tacos can make it and we did not know that when we got back to our hotel. Still very good. Service was excellent. My husband and I ordered pickup from here tonight, we had been hearing a lot about Taco Boys! My husband got carne asada tacos, I got a veggie burrito, and we got chips and salsa and a cheese quesadilla to share. The burrito was really simple, just fajita veggies, beans, and cheese, but it was really good and the veggies tasted fresh! I have given taco boys three chances to redeem themselves after the first incident incident number one the first time they had ran out of Carne del Pastor. The second time was no different. The third time I wanted to order a Vampiro, but unfortunately, they did not have any more tortillas to make the Vampiro. I proceeded to ask for a quesadilla instead. I asked the cook if they had enough meat for a quesadilla he shook his head hesitantly and said yes. I ordered my quesadilla and to my surprise there was absolutely little to no cheese on my quesadilla. I have been going to taco boys for over a year now. This has become one of my family's favorite restaurants. I Never had a problem at the camelback location but today I tried the other location. First off I was the only car in the drive thru line at 1:05 and it took nearly 30 mins to get my order. Leaving around 1:30. I had 4 orders and asked for extra guacamole salsa. The guys at the window gave me attitude and said "i can't give you more I'm going to have to charge you" and I told him he can charge me for it I don't care. I just want extra guacamole. He then decides to fill up the guacamole in a cup and mix it with water. I have came here 10+ times and have never tasted the guacamole salsa watered down like this. We decided to stop here at Taco Boy's for lunch and I wanted to walk in instead going through the drive-thru, since this was my first time visiting this establishment. I was glad we did. As soon as you walk into their restaurant you immediately have this smell of goodness. The place is more roomier than what it looks like from the outside. They even have outdoor seating and plenty of room as well. As we approached the counter to order they are ready to take your order. Since this was our first time here my focus was on the tacos. I went for the carne asada and the pollo tacos fajita style, and I was glad I did as they were delicious. Our order came out pretty fast. We also got a bunch of different condiments available to take to add more flavors to your tacos. You are given a choice of whether you want your tacos on corn or flour tortillas, I chose the corn tortillas. This is not a restaurant where the food comes to the table instead you pick it up at the counter where you order. We will return and maybe try something else but my first experience was their tacos are flavorful. Taco Boy's has two other locations and this is their most recent location. I'm told their downtown location is very busy and as time goes on I don't doubt this location will be just as busy as their other locations. read more

Visiting from outta town and needed a quick bite before a graduation and passed this gem!! Looks very unassuming from the street but there's tacos have that SoCal feel I love!! Grill the meats on mesquite and the flavor was perfect! Big portions didn't skimp on that meat!! Good prices too! The cons that kept it from a five star are the restaurant wasn't overly clean which is big for me and the employees aren't very friendly more worried about they're conversions than helping the customers but that being said I'm not gonna fault the owners too much for a few bad employees!! read more

I've had tacos from TB at their RoRo location. 5 stars- easily one of the best around. I decided to stop by their newly opened N PHX clinic. I ordered an asada burrito. Their burritos are only meat and a tortilla. No rice? No cheese? It was a little underwhelming. Fixings are on the side but how the heck do you add them on a burrito after it's rolled? Also of note, my burrito was loosely rolled. I was fumbling it around and it was sloppy. Not the best burrito I've had. Average at best. Can't give below 4 stars because their Netflix feature on Taco Chronicles is lit. read more
