I found this place on Google reviews and it was supposedly real good. We were starving! We ordered rolled tacos and 2 tamales. Unfortunately, they were flavorless. The rolled tacos had no flavor either, and salsas were not tasty. I really wanted to give this place a chance. I've been going to this place for over 10 years and it's always the same Bomb sauce (get the red) Tacos carne asada just have some ooof flavoring that just hits They hit so hard every time I fly home to San Francisco I take 10-20 to go and half don't make them to my boy friend I eat them in the terminal at a bar with a margarita Don't forget their vinegar onions and carrots read more

Service here early is wonderful! They have a delicious salsa bar, as well as spit roasted Al Pastor. Prices are very fair, portions are generous, I love their crispy tacos as well as the gorditas. This is the only taco spot I can come Monday- Sunday and the food is always good. They are open later than most places and it's the only spot my girlfriend approves of lol. I have recommended to plenty of friends and family over the years and continue to come. The staff is friendly as well. My favorite hole in the wall taco joint! I've been coming here for 15+ years & I have never ever been disappointed. I usually get the chicken tacos w/ everything. I like to add lime and a dash of salt (for preference, tacos are seasoned just fine) to my tacos, sometimes I will add the onions they have at the salsa bar. I also get tacos dorados (chicken) so good! Perfect crunch and super tasty! I typically get their pazole in the winter. I substitute the pork with chicken. The pazole is excellent! The grilled jalapeños are the cherry on top when they make them! My man gets the asada tacos w/ everything and or the asada fries and or the quesadilla. Everything here is so yummy and the employees are always so kind and hospitable! Indisputably the best hole in the wall taco etc shop! read more

Man oh man taco boy only if I knew sooner. Went to both locations a few times this one more recently both on taco tuesdays. The other location is waaaaay out the way and even this one is kind of far too. First of all the service is soooooooo friendly. The lady that takes my order is so nice. ALSO I dont get who complains about not gettin sauce jus pay for it....? Seems like usually its a 2 to 3 taco to 1 sauce ratio but with inflated times even sauces can be taxed for just pay. If the dollar tree is a buck fifty tree then u know shit got real. Also im so used to paying for sauce at king taco. Secondly the food... guys guys guys its called TACO boy. Lol jk yall. The tacos Its amazing for its price and quality. I loooove al pastor but here its a little different which isn't bad I still enjoy it, its seasoned nicely but not what im used to. The carne asada is king here. Super nicely seasoned on the salty end like I like it. The sauce both red and green are great. Honestly the only taco places that can outshine this place are the taco street vendors nearby not even shops and they are taxed so... there ya have it. I love coming here for the food and the prices are reasonable and I come here a lot because I like supporting my uncle/cousin Taco Boy. I love their Tacos and Sopes de Asada. my other favorite thing to get is the burrito with all meat and you can't forget the amazing drink hochata. They have one of the best hochata compared to other taquerias that i been too. You won't be sorry and you will enjoy the food. Don't forget to try the red salsa. read more

This place is fantastic. Seriously, fantastic. I'm incredibly picky with my tacos courtesy of plenty of time spent in Mexico, and this place is without a doubt one of the best (if not *the* best) taco joints I've found in OC. Like most good taco places it's kind of a hole in the wall, so if you aren't looking for it you might not spot it. I ordered a chorizo taco and two chicken tacos, plus chips and salsa and horchata. The horchata was perfect. The chorizo taco was super flavorful, I would order it again in a heartbeat! The chicken tacos were good as well. Flavorful, melt in your mouth goodness. The green salsa was my favorite because the red salsa has a smoky flavor I don't usually go for, but it was still pretty solid. Can't wait to come back here! read more

This place has always been fire when it comes to their tacos. I've been coming to place since I was in high school, over 12 years now and the tacos have never disappointed. They have a very distinct taste when compared to other taco shops, I don't really know what it is but that's the reason I always come back. Stop by and tell them Jose sent you! It won't get you a discount and they probably won't know who I am, but do it anyway. Also they have a salsa bar stocked with fresh salsa, limes, ratish and carrots which is a huge plus for a taco place. Cons : I always order way too many tacos. read more

This review is for the bad customer service. I drove out to this place after work for a quick bite, can't go wrong with burritos and tacos for a late night meal. This place claims to be open until midnight but when I got there at 11:20 they were already closed. As I pulled up I noticed the "open" sign was already off and as soon as the employee inside saw me drive up he ran to turn the lights off inside the place. Which I thought was super rude. Not only did I drive all the way out to you because YOU CLAIM TO STAY OPEN TILLL MIDNIGHT but you're going to turn the lights off as soon as you see me too!? If my business isn't wanted here I'll be glad to take it somewhere else, if Orange County lacks anything it's definitely not Mexican food shops. Taqueria De Anda down the street in Fullerton has way better food ( and home made tortillas) and stays open 24/7 :) Never waisting my time at this place again. read more

This is my faaaaavorite place EVER!!!! Their tacos are bomb every time. They're literally made to perfection and they're done in a timely manner. Always excited for Taco Tuesday. This is the only taco place that me and my boyfriend come to. So so so good. Carne asada tacos with everything on it is the way to go! And get yourself some sides of lemons, some salsa verde and salt and you're good to go. read more

The Wifey, being much more up to date on this social media stuff, found this place on that "Insty gram" thingy. So we headed over. It's only a 10-15 minute drive from Disney, but after trying it, would gladly drive a hell of a lot further. It's a Disney themed taco spot! The decor is cool, the owner and his staff are even cooler, and the food is awesome!!! I thought the "Tacos Chingones" were gonna be regular street tacos, but nooo... these things were epic! The "Gobernador," grilled shrimp, with cheese and house made pico, on fresh corn tortillas. The beeer battered fish taco with cabbage, house pico, sour cream and secret sauce. The pork belly taco, with onions, cilantro, avocado sauce and pickled onions, that really helped balance out that deliciously unctuous porky pig. AMAZING!!!! Then, they have a whole separate Birria menu!!! So of course, being a fat kid, I had to try the Birria Quesadilla. It was loaded with delicious, slow cooked, beef Birria and melty, gooey, stretchy Oaxaca cheese. You could taste all the spice notes, the cinnamon, cloves, thyme and Mexican Oregano all singing in harmony with the Pasilla, Guajillo and Arbol chilies. Then that consommé... that delicious preserved broth oozing with Birria goodness. Puts it right on par with the best roast beef and French dip you've ever had. And I'm not even gonna go into the house made, family recipe salsas sitting there conveniently at the table, ready to set your food on next level fire!!! Especially the "Chikali" salsa. Created by the owner himself, this sauce is literally fire. Spicy, but not overly, and so, so flavorful! If he doesn't start bottling them and selling them, he's doing himself and the taco community a disservice. Anywho... I washed it all down with a couple of delicious, ice cold Pacifico cerveza's and called it a night. I left full, fat and happy. Fueled up and ready to hit the park again in the morning. The moral of the story is, if you're anywhere near Anaheim and you're craving some good, modern, Mexican food, be sure to put this place on your Taco itinerary. And if you're not craving Mexican food, reevaluate your life decisions and go here anyway. You'll be glad you did. That is all!
