Was on a road trip for work and boy was I glad to stop at this hidden gem! The staff were amazingly patient, helpful & kind! Our order was completed successfully & in record time. The food was thoroughly cooked, tasted fresh and we honestly wanted to stop by on the way home even after a 5 course echelon meal! We are on our way to a camp ground after seeing a concert in Grand Rapids so we want to get moving as we have an hour and a half to drive still. We ordered 3 Doritos locos tacos no lettuce with a large drink (combo) and a 7 layer burrito with nacho fries. The fries were cold, but at least the cheese was super hot. My 7 layer burrito was lukewarm, some of the rice is super crunchy and dry. My friends tacos were fine, can't really mess them up. Visit was alright but I wish the food was hot since they're not busy; I'd rather wait for hot food than wait the same amount of time to get cold food. Since the refried beans were cold, I am hoping to not get sick if their food warmers aren't holding a good temperature. Would have complained but we needed to get back on the road. Ordered chalupa supremes with no lettuce or tomato. Guy read it back to us and it was on the screen. Received both with lettuce and tomato. Ordered a Baja blast which you were out of. No big deal, that happens. Since that's all I get I asked what my options were. He told me they were listed on the screen. They weren't. And he could have just told me. This is just like your normal KFC/Taco Bell combo except that lacks service, speed, accuracy, and customer service. In the past there seemed to be a few employees who worked extra hard to negate the non-existent effort of the rest, but they seem to have disappeared. My most recent visit was the final one. I used the mobile app (which has worked well at other locations). After waiting in the drive through for 10 minutes (4 cars) I got to the window and was told to pull ahead and wait. After waiting for an additional 5 minutes I went inside and asked for a manager. They brought me Amanda who said that my order was just getting ready eventhough I could see that they had at least forgotten the drink. I asked her why it was taking so long and she told me that she does the chicken orders first because they cost more than tacos. That's why at least 2 people had exited the drive through while I was left waiting. I then told her that I wanted a refund and she acted snotty about it and tossed the cash and change at me while sarcastically saying, "have a nice day". I really like Taco Bell and this is by far the worst one I've ever visited. Well the place is clean for the most part. Walk in and there's water and pop all over the floor and nobody is even cleaning it up. It took my grandmother almost slipping for someone to do their job. Okay so I read the reviews before coming here, but I didn't think it could be THAT bad. My friend and I wanted Taco Bell bad so we just went anyway. I should've listened to the reviews. While I was in the bathroom, my friend stood at the counter and waited for someone to take her order even though there was an employee at the counter not doing anything. This employee let her wait for someone else to help her. THEN it took a hot minute to get the food, and of course, it wasn't very good. The crunch wrap was stale, the tortillas in general just seemed old and very chewy. After all of this, we both got some type of food poisoning and felt terrible afterward. If a negative star could be given for this review it definitely would be. In calling for a reference and talking to Noah, who claimed to be the supervisor, was told he couldn't help me because he didn't remember the person. When asked about personnel files, was told to call corporate. When phone number was requested, hanging up the phone because he was too lazy to look up requested information. In calling back, someone named 'Kyle' claimed to be the manager, and stated that he couldn't help me, then hung up as well. Calling back again, was told by 'Kyle' to stop harassing employees. I used to go here once in awhile to get a chicken dinner for my family. But I had found that the drive through was so slow any time near dinner that I am much better off to get chicken and potatoes and gravy, rolls and a bag of salad at Hardings. And the fried chicken at Hardings is not as greasy, even if I buy a 2 liter of pop the meal is also cheaper. So, a few months ago I thought I'd give them another chance and try something different and see how they did with the Mexican side. (It's a combined KFC/Taco Bell.) I went through the drive through because there were only 2 cars in line, and asked a few questions. The worker had to leave the register to get the answers from someone else (not difficult questions, just wanting to know if this burrito had beans or if that item had peppers.) I accidentally ordered a burrito and then realized it might have guacamole on it, so I asked and it did and then asked to change it because my husband wouldn't eat it with guac on it. This was the longest delay, it took a few minutes for her to get help to change it. After that she kept asking me "Will that be all" after every item I ordered (3 more items in all) in a very nasty tone. I then waited in line for more than 10 minutes. When I got to the window for my food, the worker who had been taking orders wasn't anymore, she was running food. And she gave me a mean look when she brought my "bag" of food to the girl working at the window. I know she was the one who took my order because the other girl who was working the window now nervously added a cake to my bag and apologized to me. That's when the runner who had taken my order started going off, "You shouldn't apologize to her! She should be apologizing to the customers behind her in line!" (I totally recognized her voice, and the new girl working the window had a very nice and sweet voice) and then the "runner" stomped off angrily continuing her rant about how I took so long to order calling me names. The girl at the window was obviously embarrassed and felt badly, but I didn't understand why she was so nervous until I got my food home. The "runner" had thrown my food in the bag with force, put my taco salad in upside down, so everything was messed up, sauce was running out of everything and it was a big unappetizing mess inside the bag, except for the consolation cake that her replacement had placed on the top of the mess. (And for all I know she spat on my food, I wouldn't put it past someone as out of control as that girl was.) I appreciate the difficulty facing that poor replacement, but I will never give this restaurant my money again. That girl should have been removed from the floor by the manager and a manager should have been apologizing, not the poor girl working the window. (By the way I could clearly see the shift manager working the till next to the drive through, If I could hear the tantrum from my car outside a window, I am quite sure manager heard the tantrum. Was the overly emotional girl the daughter of the owner or something? Because she was being ignored, not dealt with.) Which, may I just say, I did take a little longer than average to order that day, but the real reason it took soooo long was because the girl taking my order did not know the answers to my questions or how to remove an item from the order without help. I never said a cross word to her or anyone else that day, and I did not go in to complain because I don't like to make a scene. read more

Recently moved here. Have been there 3 times, & 3 times disappointed! Even with no other customers present in lobby or drive thru you can expect to wait for a very long time. Fast food HAHAHA! & always an error within your order. This place has the worst service I have seen. Took almost 12 minutes to get 2 mini beef quesadillas. Sad thing was, they gave me chicken ones. Since it took so long to get the order, I just ate them. But, the cashier had asked me to fill out a survey. So, I went to the website and it would not take my survey numbers. After trying many time, I noticed it said if you don't want to do an online service, you could do a phone one. So....I called the number...disconnected. Service is always slow. They mess up the order of a woman I work with on a regular basis. Twice in the last two months my order has been wrong. When you call them they offer you coupons. Customer service is when they provide good service at the time of order not trying to placate you after making an error. I hardly ever see an employee there for any length of time. It is a revolving door. I'm not sure who owns the Wayland location, but apparently they do not care about the service they provide and apparently they can't retain employees (which usually tells you something about a company). read more
