Literally smallest place ever. Staff slow as ever. Took over 15 minutes to get one burrito and it wasn't even super busy.

Our waitress was patient and polite, explaining the dishes and answering questions with a smile. The decor was very festive. We all ended up ordering the same meal and let me just say it was delicious! I've been on an ACP kick for a while and wanted something different. So so good!

With fresh choices, a large menu, generous portions, and reasonable pricing, you can't go wrong here. If you're dining in, the chips are fresh and the salsa tasty with just the right amount of spice. The cheese dip is always a winner. The guacamole is not my favorite in terms of consistency (too smooth) but it usually tastes good too. Today's visit was takeout. We got a Grande Burrito and a Burrito Paisa. They were both massive and lasted multiple meals over the week. I'm a huge fan of the Burrito Paisa with the spicy sauce, and it'll make you sweat! I will say it's annoying they add a forced gratuity for takeout orders (they've always charged a container fee, but now add the gratuity.) This isn't uncommon these days, but I still dislike it. I'd love to see the addition of online ordering to keep up with the era. But all told, a great consistent choice that never disappoints me.

You would never know it is there from just driving by. The eatery is located in the back right corner near the butcher counter. The establishment is very clean which put me at ease after walking in past the bars on the windows of the store front. There is a menu board behind the cash register just above the drink cooler and there are menus on the table. The menu is pretty good. You won't find a cookie cutter "Speedy Gonzalez" at this establishment though. They do offer "platillos" which is basically an entree with rice and beans. The tortillas appear to be hand made and the ingredients I ate were fresh and tasty. The sauces were authentic and bring a little more heat than one might expect. I ordered 3 tacos with a side of rice. I got one chorizo taco and two asada tacos. The meal came with two lime wedges, nice sized jalapeno and a cooked onion The tacos were loaded with cilantro, meat and onion and were by far the best tasting taco I have since I left Los Angeles. As for the tacos, another reviewer mentioned "Barbados" tacos but, I think what they meant was "barbacoa" which is barbecued meat. My dining companion had this and stated several times how tasty and flavorful it was. Service was good. The gal working the tables came by several times to ask if the food was good and was quick to bring more hot sauce when requested. She was courteous and helpful. This place has been added to my list as a regular stop since I am usually in that area frequently. Do yourself a favor and swing by to try it out - you will not be disappointed.

They have a menu full of great selections of tacos, gorditas, sopes, tortas and a number of plate(platillo) options just to name a few. The dining area is very clean and brightly lit with little cafeteria style booths, a couple tables with chairs and an island table in the middle with stools around it...and can't forget the full wall Aztec warrior mural. They also have a flat screen TV on the wall pumpin' out some Telemundo. I ordered some Mexican tacos to-go, 2 chicken and 2 barbacoa. The tacos are on fresh homemade corn tortillas filled with your meat option and topped with onion and cilantro with lime wedges and radish slices on the side and a roasted jalapeno pepper that'll burn your face off. They also come with a homemade green and red sauce which were both great with some good heat. The grilled chicken is cubed and tender with not much flavor until you add the sauce and the barbacoa (Mexican BBQ) is just great, very flavorful on it's own and plenty of it piled in the tacos. Everything is fresh and homemade, just outstanding. Tacos'll run ya $2 a piece, I did have to wait a little longer than expected for my order, but it was worth it. Definitely worth a stop...and there's another Mexican grocery/butcher/taqueria right next door that I'll be checkin' out too.

When I was younger, so much younger than today, I traveled internationally for a Fortune 500 company for over 12 years. In those travels I spent over a year in Mexico, because it was a problem place, to do business in any way - to protect inventory (we hired armed guards to patrol behind fenced areas, 24/7), to collect accounts receivable, especially from the Federal and State governments, to operate within the guidelines of the SEC! The good part was to sample food I had no idea existed. I had birria for the first time in 1979 in Guadalajara - stew only, no tacos at the time; carbito; and I had Pozole Verde for the first time, with pork, amazing dish! The version of pozole verde served here is very good, but does not have quite the layers of flavor this dish is famous for, like the ones I've sampled at Taqueria Los Juanes, El Camino Real, and Paisano El Tacos - all in Winston. Still it is a dish worth having a go at! I topped the relatively thin stew with cheese, chopped white onion, chicharrones, and avocado. In addition, I squeezed on lime juice and added hot sauce. All of this added additional flavors as well as a variety of textures. I wish there had been cabbage and cilantro to add as well. I tried the Quesabirria tacos and found them to be very nice - well filled and flavorful. I'm glad I tried the food here, and if in the area I'd stop in, but I would not consider this a destination spot.

The same girl insisted I was wrong and that we couldn't have ordered on line. Finally a lady came from the kitchen and told her to give me a refund. The girl tried to give me back $22 dollars of our $28 order...the lady from the kitchen made her give me the correct amount. The service (from the cashier) was the worst I've ever received from anyone in any type of customer service role. Plus the food was bland. Finally got to try their food again for the second time as a dine in customer yesterday. The first time was take out and I normally don't order take out for Mexican because it gets soggy but that wasn't the case here. That's why I knew I needed to go back in person, plus the food was just amazing! I ordered the steak sopes, rice and beans, churros and jamaica. The steak was so tender and flavorful, just how I remembered. Also their salsa verde is delicious! The red salsa (in the bottle) is super super hot so you've been warned! Additionally, the salsa that is served with chips is made fresh and taste just right for the average person. The churros were a win for me and I ordered 3! Hot and fresh! Best churros I've ever had! Also their tortillas are made fresh to order. Wowowow! They have a variety of authentic dishes and such friendly staff. Gisseth was our server and I hope to see her again. I can't wait to visit more often and try all they have to offer!
