The place was pretty empty, but the staff was friendly and welcoming. The food however, was not great. I ordered the tacos, which were pretty bland and flavorless, and the tortillas were old. My brother's dish came out cold, the margaritas didn't have enough kick in them... I would say the only thing we really enjoyed about the restaurant was their homemade hot sauce. Was really hoping to like this place as I love supporting local businesses. Perhaps we just came on our off night, but we definitely did not enjoy our food experience at this location.

My expectations must've been too high because I was highly disappointed!! The food is far from being good enough to warrant their prices. My food was barely warm. There was very little taco meat (ground beef) given for my taco bowl. Plus it didn't really have much flavor to it. The salsa didn't look or taste like salsa. Instead it reminded me of a tomato sauce. It was just plain gross is how I can describe it. The queso was just a thick glob of mediocre tasting dip. Nothing thrilling at all and lacked taste. For $16.50 plus a $2 tip for one person to eat, I feel like I got ripped off and ticked off!! For the money I could've & should've went to El Torel or Taco Bell even. It's a shame, I really wanted to like this place but didn't. Sorry to be so candid but I seriously could've cooked a far better taco meal at home myself. Didn't pretend to be a traditional caprese and I found them to be a nice amount that was in no danger of filling you up before the meal. My dining companion enjoyed the frozen drink. There really are two versions of this restaurant that really changes the experience. Like so many things, restaurants in Athens are one thing when classes are in session and quite another during breaks and the summer. North End is a place for us when classes are out because it isn't as busy, nowhere near as loud, and a more chill vibe.
