Thankfully, I think I've found one here at Echo Freco in a Shrewsbury, PA. My waiter (Juan) was well trained, well mannered and efficient. I came here on a Saturday afternoon with a friend, a little after peak lunch hours. The parking lot was full and the restaurant, bustling. From the outside, it doesn't look like much and upon walking inside, it transports you. I ordered 4 different tacos- chorizo, asada, lengua, and al pastor- and a tamarind agua fresca. My friend got the shrimp sopes. The food came out quick and super fresh! The plate came with two salsas and I got more at their salsa bar at the front. Honestly, wasn't crazy about any of them (I tried 6!), which was the biggest disappointment of tbe meal. The tacos were otherwise good and lots of flavor. I was so happy they included the roasted onions, too. There were other menu items that looked phenomenal but will definitely try whenever I came back!

It's hard to categorize this place - the name sounds a bit Hispanic but the menu leans a little toward Italian with an occasional American gem thrown in for good measure. Just a few Mexican dishes - I've tried a quesadilla and found it as good as any Mexican restaurant I've been to. Hard to beat this place - there's something for everybody, and if you save room for dessert there's an ice cream shop right around back.

Food: I lived in San Diego and traveled to Mexico frequently. I'm very picky about my Mexican food. This is hands down some of the best in Maryland and definitely the best I've had in Baltimore County. My Husband agreed as he has barely enjoyed any Mexican we've had since our last trip to Mexico. I told him once you have the real deal nothing else will do. I definitely indulged. The shrimp tacos are my fave as I don't really eat meat. The veggie tacos are also pretty darn good! The Mexican slaw, pickled veggies, and elote (in a cup) are also super good. Next time I plan to try the fish tacos since they offer them gluten free! Yes, almost everything is gluten free. Keep in mind this place offers fresh authentic Mexican food, but I noticed a bit of Puerto Rican sabor! Lastly, don't let the neighboring Pizza Hut/gas station nearby fool you. We witnessed a family run business with steady traffic as we waited for our order, and a Mexican eatery with the sweetest Spanish style booths! I wish this eatery was in my neighborhood!
