I grade fast food places on a curve. It's only fair because they'll never get beyond 2 stars if you compare to a nice sit down restaurant. Food (4 stars) + 7 layer burrito was good just like decades ago but the rice was a little crunchy. I thought it was undercooked. Loved the guacamole, sour cream and beans. + Doritos loco tacos is nothing special but for a crunchy taco it's fine. Lettuce and tomatoes are fresh. Shell does fall apart more easily than regular tacos. Service (5 stars) + Kiosk ordering is great but the staff actually looks around and asked if we needed help + I was offered another 7 layer burrito even though I only wanted to let them know rice may be undercooked. It was Taco Tuesday, and I decided to grab a snack before getting on the freeway. I knew what I wanted, so I didn't bother looking at the menu board. I the order taker politely asked for my order, and I said "three Crunchy Taco Supremes....and that's it." (BTW, this is a drive-thru order). Add free sauces. Total (w/tax) = $9.81 Got up to the window, I paid, and a man hands me my order and says "thank you." That's how a drive-thru is run.....polite, professional, and quick. The low star ratings on this place is a combination of the longevity of how long it has been around and the volatility of the management / workers over the years. I've been coming to this Taco Bell on and off since the mid 2000s & this review is specifically for the 2024 / 2025 timeframe. I recommend coming to this one even considering the low star rating just based on the staff alone. They have never messed up my order, everything comes clean and not out of place, they are very friendly and I can tell very hard working. If anything, they all deserve a raise or bonus considering how shitty fast food chains can operate. Special recognition to the woman who typically wears bright red lipstick and deep voice, she might be the shift leader or something similar. She really does go the extra mile and has even given me some free taco coupons after me having to wait a few extra minutes in the drive thru even though I didn't mind. The rest of the staff is very kind and hardworking too. If I had any improvement points, it would be to hire more (similar) staff because it feels like people are running around all the time. I don't expect much from a Taco Bell drive-through, but I have to say that this one was the worst I've been to. I ordered a burrito supreme with beef. Service was fine, but the actual burrito was not. The burrito was absolutely cold and the amount of beef was, so minimal that I actually thought it was a bean burrito supreme until I took the last bite. Stopped by here to grab something to eat after a long day and was pleasantly suprised with how good everything turned out, first off the staff were super nice and patient with me even though I was kinda tired and slow to decide what I wanted, they gave some suggestions and weren't pushy at all which I really appreciated, once I ordered the food didn't take long and it was hot and smelled amazing, once I took a bite it was even better, tasted like it was made with fresh stuff and had good seasoning without being too much, portion size was just right too, enough to feel full but not heavy, I also liked how the place was kept pretty clean and quiet which made it easy to relax while eating, overall just a very chill place with good people and tasty food. read more

Customer service was bad here. Just this morning at 10:48am, I ordered 12 pack tacos, 1 burrito, 1crispy chicken avocado and a gorditas. I came home and took out the food and noticed they gave me everything except for the crispy chicken avocado and the gorditas. So I called them and let them know they didn't give me those and they told me to go back and get it. I went back and had a talk with them since they said they don't have gorditas but chalupa. So I said okay I will just get the chalupa. I asked them if I had to pay the difference and they said no it's fine since we missed your avocado taco. The guy gave me the bag and I drove off. I checked the bag while I was at the red light and again they missed my crispy chicken avocado. I had to drive back the 3rd time just to clarify with them. The lady came out and told me I'm not going to give you that because my guy already put the crispy chicken avocado in the bag. I told them to check the bag and also in my car. I seriously don't have it but the lady didn't believe me. I'm not cheap just to get a free meal. I paid $50 for this. So I said fine, I will not come back again. We ordered our food and the lady that was taking the order unfortunately did not receive the whole order that we asked for so we had to leave drive thru and step inside and waited 25 minutes for a damn crunch wrap a single crunch wrap and then the other items in the bag Two of them didn't even have all the ingredients in it absolutely disappointing. How can one not hear the order when you heard the first 6 items. Then when we tried to ask what happened with the order we were told "sorry we are busy". I don't care how busy you are, we are paying customers. Get our order correct. We asked for a manager and no manager on hand. The drive-through line was very long, but it went by very fast. We came here at 1:30 in the morning. Everything was hot and up to standard. Ricardo was a super nice guy and I had an amazing experience with him! He was super friendly and I was really impressed to have a such a great conversation for that short interaction! I would highly suggest coming here if you need a quick bite to eat! They now raised minimum wage to $20 so prices have of course gone up. I swear, if I go through the drive thru at this location ONE more time only to realize that this place NEVER puts f*****g napkins in the bag, I'm going to drive back and dump my food all over the floor inside the dining room. Why? So that I will ruin the measly profit margin they're enjoying by not giving their customers - who are IN THEIR CAR - not even a single napkin. You know what's nice about mobile payments? The instant feedback that your payment went through. Went to this drive through about a week ago (11/17/2023) and used my apple pay. The girl standing outside said "I need to run it again, your payment didn't go through!" I looked at my phone, and sure enough there was a charge for $24. I showed her, she didn't want to argue with me and told me her manager would talk to me. Her manager tried to get me to pay as well. "SEE SIR IT SAYS PENDING!" I've lived in San Jose for 32 years now and this is still my go to Taco Bell. The food is always on point, the staff is respectful and kind, and the food always hits for the right price! Not to mention it's one of the few Taco Bells that are still ( as of me writing this review) serving breakfast! I genuinely have a consistently great experience every time I pull up. The person taking orders kept moving so much I couldn't even see the menu properly. I had to tell them to stop moving and then I held the menu still just so I can read the menu. Leaving this review here because this Taco Bell location is underrated. The workers go above and beyond to handle the hell of a rush this location gets and the fact that they rotate people outside at the drive thru to take orders ahead of time is pretty smart. Sometimes the weather can be tough to handle of course, but as long as they're equipped it seems that they don't mind too much. If you order something and there's an item missing once in a while, don't post a bad review about it... instead imagine how it would be like if you worked here. Tons and tons of items to make for lots and lots of customers almost non-stop. You're bound to miss an item once in a while right? Just cut them some slack is all I'm getting at. I drop by this place once a week to "treat" myself with some good food and the people working here are all so sweet, even when they're not having the best day. All you as a customer need to do is greet them with a smile, maybe ask them how they're doing and understand that not a soul in this world is perfect, and understand that they've got other things to worry about in their lives at home... so that bean burrito your missing shouldn't cost them a bad review. Got my entire order wrong. Which is weird considering I was the only in the drive thru. When ordering all I could hear is laughing. I'm all for having fun but at least be professional enough to take an order and put together some simple toppings. My bean and cheese burrito hardly had any beans.
