There's a lot to like here: courteous and attentive staff, A spacious dining room with the Mexican colors splashed across the wall, and that menu! Tacos, gorditas, burritos, sopas, tortas, and even agua frescas. This is as authentic as a menu gets. And the price point? Incredibly affordable, which is a big deal in today's inflationary world. Unfortunately this is where the happy story is cut short. I ordered two of the more popular items on the menu, carne asada and Al pastor tacos. Also added a side of rice and beans. The flavors simply fell short. It honestly felt like not a single thing presented to me was seasoned. The steak featured in the carne asada, which I was most looking forward to, was quite chewy. Even the complimentary chips and dip were underwhelming. I've had some amazing Mexican food, especially of late. El Primo Taquireas is a decent choice for price and lack of Mexican options in the area, but a forgettable experience overall. Really a 2.5 but rounding up for benefit of the doubt.

They made is tableside and it was delicious. It would have been better if the ingredients setup didnt block our view but not a big deal. Everyone mostly enjoyed their food and drinks. The margaritas and bar drinks were excellent. My son loved his texas fajitas. My husband and other son loved their vegetarian combo plates. I ordered shrimp & scallops fajitas. My bad for not asking whether they were sea or bay scallops. They were tiny overcooked, rubbery, bay scallops that were fishy and inedible, but the shrimp and all the sides (beans, grilled onions &peppers, tortillas, etc) were all very tasty. The service was funny. We were seated and served very quickly. They did tableside guacamole very well and refilled our chips & salsa. They brought our entrees quickly as well... then they never came back. I was fine that they didnt check in with us but we had to wait forever to get a check. I'd definitely come back. They got all the hard stuff right... next time skip the scallops (but really, how dumb was i for ordering scallops in a Mexican restaurant?) Lol.

See my picture - on the upside, if you come alone, you can always sit with Mr. Spooky.... This location was quick and fresh! You always have a choice for your burrito but I feel like Moe's blanco queso is top-tier among all the burrito spots. This sets it apart - in a category of its own. Also, add in the fact they offer seasoned rice, it has a more "authentic" feel. If you prefer veggies only - they have rice, beans (protein), corn, onion/pepper mix, also fresh white onions, black olives, lettuce, fresh cilantro, and a little jalapeno to kick up the flavor a notch. Thats how I do it : - )
