    Something new!

I enjoy visiting this location! I can't say I have had trouble with any of my orders. But I will say I have had my share of long waits in the drive-thru line. I think that's why they did away with that minute counter they used to have. They offer this new goodness called Capt'n Crunch Berries. The picture makes these little things look scrumptious. I believe they are 2 for a little over a dollar. I figured I'd ask for a sample. Worst case scenario, "no ma'am" we don't offer samples (and then I would be hurt). But to my surprise he obliged!! Geee thanks! So my review on the crunch berries...oh I like them!! They sorta taste like a mini dunkin donuts (donut holes). The cake part was yummy not so much along the lines of a 'crunch berry' but it's good. It's not too sweet even with the cinnabon goodness filling. Nice and hot...little poppers. I can tell you on a good day, one or two may not be enough. I would definitely get more the next time I have a craving for something sweet. And don't forget about their happier hour every day from 2pm-5pm. Which includes, $1 drinks :) - get the Starburst drink :)

We were immediately greeted and offered seats. Chips and salsa followed within a few seconds of sitting and our waiter came for drink orders a few seconds after the snack delivery. Their chips are hot and super thin. Which I love. The salsa is more flavorful, it doesn't taste like just canned tomatoes with a few stands of onion and cilantro. The menu is extensive with lots of classic options and some unique options. We weren't hungry enough for any appetizers but next time we come maybe with a larger group we'll try some. We ordered the chicken fajitas, pollo fundido and Mexican flautas. Food was delivered hot in 10 mins and was visually pleasing. I couldn't wait to start eating . Everything was super tasty too. In the past I've experienced where the fillings in burritos/tacos/taquitos especially the meats are left unseasoned. This was not the case at Guads. The fillings were well seasoned and could be eaten on their own. Fajitas were sizzling and meat was evenly and consistently sized. Very yummy. We are rice lovers so that's an important aspect of the meal. Rice was perfect. Not parboiled and a nice light tomato flavor. Refried beans were puréed smooth which is ok but not my favorite. Other than that everything was fantastic. We'll be back again.

I was most disappointed with the ceviche. If you love tajin you will like this. I couldn't taste anything but tajin. First time I have never finished ceviche. The waitress was very nice. I will opt for another Mexican restaurant.

I came on a Saturday afternoon at 4. It was past lunch, not yet dinner so there were a few empty tables. Speedy greeted us, asked our drink order and delivered said drinks within 2 minutes. Plus, in true Mexican restaurant form, we had chips and salsa come with the drinks. There was a tasty white dip as well. I didn't ask what it was, I just ate it. The chips were warm. I question if the salsa was homemade but only because it wasn't chunky. I probably shouldn't use that as a measurement; the taste was fresh. I'm always pro enchiladas and tried the Enchiladas Maria, 1 chicken, 1 bean, 1 spinach and 1 queso enchilada topped with a sausage and cheese sauce. It was one of the few enchiladas dishes that didn't come with sides and I was ok with that. I wasn't in the mood for rice and beans anyway. It was a 7/10. The cheese and sausage sauce saved the bland enchiladas (bean and spinach). The other two were quite tasty. My husband ordered something I can't even spell or pronounce. It was chicken and shrimp with peppers and onions served with a side of rice and beans. I enjoyed tasting that as well. As I write this, food came out for another table that seemed to track with how I feel about this place- lovely mom and pop establishment with fresh food. Our server looked like he was in the family, not some person hired just to work there. The prices are reasonable. The drink selection is decent and they appear to offer a happy hour. I appreciated the diversity of patrons. That's not always the case in a Portsmouth restaurant. You pay at the exit and luckily speedy didn't have to handle that as well. If you find yourself in Portsmouth and looking for a nice Mexican spot, swing by.

We add the total together ourselves and go to pay at the front, the total given to us is 19 dollars higher than the amount on the bill... we were taxed $19 which after doing the math is 12% food tax in an area that only goes as high as 8% MAX. Also we tipped our waiter as we left the table and at the desk where you pay there is a paper stating that there is an 18% gratuity. This gratuity was added to our bill after the 12% tax so we were forced to pay gratuity on an extra $19 that we shouldn't have been charged to begin with. Honestly if I could give zero stars I would.

I live about 30+ mins away but I remember the food being very good last time, so I didn't mind the drive at all. We were greeted by the host as soon as we walked in and were seated right away. Our server was wonderful. She was very pleasant and helped us with some of the questions we had regarding the menu items. We started with the Fresh Tableside Guacamole and it tasted great! We did order it with a "medium" spice level and it wasn't spicy at all but other than that, it was very good. Since the Street Tacos caught our eye, we both decided on those. We ordered the Al Pastor, Barbacoa, Carnitas, Chorizo, Camarón, Nopales and Lengua. The tacos were served with a variety of different sauces, ranging from sweet and mild to very spicy. Most of the tacos were delicious, our favorite was the Al Pastor, Barbacoa, and Camarón. We weren't a fan of the Lengua, it was very dry, chewy and unflavored. Overall, we had a great experience. Our margaritas were amazing as well! I love the vibe of this restaurant and the food and service is always wonderful.

Thhe service is on point! The Ambiance is on point! The attentiveness the drinks I cannot complain! I'm a margarita girl and the Margaritas here did not disappoint especially their Ranch Water. My favorite here is the classic quesadilla and you can choose your own protein. The first time I chose chicken and this last time which was on Sunday I chose the shrimp and added some fresh jalapenos... divine! My husband loves the fajita tacos I think that's going to be his go-to meal When We Dine here. The parking not an issue at all plenty of parking it does get busy around 6:30 7:30 on the weekend and on Wednesday which is 899 fajita nights. Now I will admit you on this night in particular I did get the steak fajitas I wasn't a fan of them but I still tore them up! The quantity that you get for 899 super super duper:] So pack your patience if you come on one of the busy nights. Today being Tuesday as I'm typing this review it's Taco Tuesday so tacos are a dollar and 50 Cent after 5:00 p.m. so I'm sure this night is going to be busy. Nevertheless it's worth visiting and priced just right! Have fun and enjoy life :)
