Fast-forward to November 2019 Yo Mama's Food Truck had a Grand Opening. This was my second chance at trying their food but, dang, what a disappointment. The fries I got were cold and oversalted. The burger was so dry and flavorless and on a really sad patty. It reminded me of public school cafeteria food. I got a mild case of gastroenteritis afterward. Holy smokes. It's sugary and if served with brisket, is a glorious creation. I was driving through Lubbock and had to make a stop when I found out they were serving barbecue on a Friday. I got their Brisket Specialty Taco: two corn tacos with beans, shredded cheese, fried egg, and, of course, brisket. In addition, because my greed has no bounds, I got their Philthy Taco: 2 corn tacos, fried egg, potatoes, salsa ranchero, queso, and their smoked barbacoa.
