The Pizzabirria is delicious. It is huge and so filling. It's served with several different…read moresauces in addition to the dipping sauce. they also include Cucumbers and Radishes. Queso is great but the Guacamole is to DIE for!

3.5-ish For starters, the name of this restaurant (according…read moreto its own sign) is Taqueria Carnales, not Carnales Taqueria (as listed on Yelp). Anyway, this is a place for people who enjoy highly flavored and spicy food. Seriously, ask them to go easy on the jalapenos if you aren't up for spicy. I ordered everything as is for my first visit for takeout and enjoyed it but it was on the edge of too spicy for me, (chicken grande burrito) without actually crossing the line.Very much crossed the line with the shrimp tacos, imo. I ordered the following: Menudo Soup (made from cow's stomach); Shrimp Tacos and a Chicken Burrito Grande. The estimated prep time was 15 minutes and the food was ready on time. It's a cute, small restaurant that is very clean. While you could choose to dine in, I didn't see anyone eating there and it appears that most of their business is carryout. Upon arriving home, I found that the Menudo Soup had spilled inside the plastic bag. Not too big a deal. The other entrees were packed in styrofoam containers. The burrito was wrapped in paper and foil. My mom had the Menudo Soup and said it was good. She had one of the three shrimp tacos and said it was okay but that she wouldn't crave them. The avocado slices looked very fresh. My mom loves spicy food but she commented that the soup and tacos were very spicy. As for my chicken burrito, it was unexpectedly spicy in a mostly good way. The burrito was stuffed with everything inside - guacamole, rice, chicken, refried beans (very little), cheese and jalapeno peppers. It was a delicious combo but I would have preferred the individual ingredients to be separate. The biggest problem, however, was that the foil wrap made it difficult to cut into the burrito without also cutting into the foil. I think it's more of a "me" issue that might not bother anyone else. Overall, I would order from this restaurant again. The quality is definitely way above Taco Bell, but it's not quite fast food even though it's next to a Subway. Also, I asked if their refried beans were made with lard and I was assured they were vegetarian. If I hadn't seen so many positive reviews on Yelp, I wouldn't have known to check out this spot, but would encourage you to try it too for high quality, authentic Mexican cuisine! EDIT/UPDATE: I tried one of the shrimp tacos that my mom left in the fridge. OMG, it was super spicy to the point of giving me hiccups. Plus, the spiciness seemed to come from a creamy cheese sauce added to the shrimp tacos after they were cooked. I can understand why my mom wouldn't crave them and I would never order them myself. Based on your personal preference for spiciness, let this give you an idea of the level of spiciness that could be added to your food unless you request your dish to be less spicy. Recommend with caveat re spiciness.

Excellent "inexpensive" (AKA cheap (: ) street taco joint. For my first visit here I got two…read moreAsasda (Steak) taco's and one El Pastor at a cost of $2.75 each!! Taco's were well made, with double corn tortillas, packed full of meat , no skimping here, and just cilantro and onions. Definately very authentic Mexican style taco's and not the Americanized versions you find throughout the area. My only qualm, which was minor, was that the meat was lacking the seasoning I like when in Mexico which gives the flavor pop that I personally like. I took care of this with some salt and pepper along with salsa to tune the taco to my personal taste. Relative to the Salsa, there was a walk up Salsa bar with multiple Salsa's to select from which I truly liked and reminded me of one of my favorite Taco Joints in Puerto Vallarta, Taco's Revolution. These salsa bars, are quite convenient and act as a "Fixing bar" that allows you to tailor the taco to your personal taste. I have not seen this before in this area and wished more businesses did it. They also need to add the cucumbers (dont knock it till you try it) and some onions as well to complete the fixing bar. (: Food comes with gratis nicely mildly seasoned chips which I really liked. The seasoning is more than just salt, quite tasty and unique to this business, Very nice! Relative to the facility and staff, the restaurant is a no frills operation and has a relatively small footprint with a limited number of tables which is probably something to keep in mind during peak dining hours. Clearly they let the food do the talking here. Staff is very friendly with prompt service and good follow up throughout. Overall a very good Mexican restaurant as reflected in the good Yelp reviews. The quality of the food and at the price point it is being sold at make this a must try if you are a fan of good Mexican food, in particular Street Taco's.

Lowrider Cafe - Breakfast tacos with chorizo. Even better than they look.

Lowrider Cafe

Yet another five star review! Hooray for consistency!!…read more I have been transitioning out of the bedside nursing and into more of a marketing role for the past six months. I have now met four different people here for lunch or picked up breakfast tacos for meetings. Every time the food is stellar. And all four times no one had heard of this place. Why are people not screaming about Lowrider Café from the rooftops? The food, already said hands-down amazing. The service? Always spot on! The owners should be on the shortlist for Toledo philanthropic business owners. When you come in here, you can also purchase a meal for someone who's homeless. They employ people that others wouldn't, and honestly, I'm here for it! I love seeing a local business that gives back to its community. You want specialty coffee? They've got it. Do you want fresh salsa to rival any other salsa in Toledo? They've got that too. You want to buy some great locally handcrafted bags/clothing/unique gift items? They've got you covered. You want a chill spot with a great vibe that just radiates good karma? Come on into low Rider. Bring a couple extra box and buy a taco for someone else too. You'll feel great about the Boy Scout deed. It's a karmic double win- not only are you feeding a local business, but you're also feeding someone who couldn't otherwise afford to feed themselves. This is food that doesn't just feed your belly and feed your soul.

My man has been talking about this place forever and raved about the tacos. So now that they got on GrubHub I can get delivery because they have some very odd hours. We ordered a breakfast taco with chorizo and egg chips and quesabirria tacos and the man was extra hungry so he even added in a couple hot dogs with fries. Now at this point it was almost closing time and I always tell him do not order food when it's near closing but he wanted it so we got it. So we didn't get any queso with the chips which is a little bit of a big deal for me because I don't particularly like salsa so if I get chips I get queso so since I didn't get any queso the chips are still sitting on the counter 3 days later. The breakfast taco was okay. Way too much cilantro in there. He ate his quesabirria tacos and he seemed to be mostly pleased. The hot dog completely sucked. Just no flavor and we threw the second away. Fries needed salt added. But.. I would have never ordered it from here myself personally but I tried it because hey it's here. It really didn't taste very good and there's no option to take off like onions or anything if you order online. Something for lowrider to think about for their online orders. Not everybody wants onion and relish on their hot dog. I'm impressed with the place because I know they do a lot for the homeless community but as for the food it's just average to me I've had way better in Texas and out west.
