Well we are glad I did, first the location is a little off the main road but up atop a small rise. Outside tables and inside greet you at this great little restaurant. We had Calamari appetizer that was lightly breaded and served with sweet chili dipping sauce very good. Then main courses included Crab cake sandwich NO filler most crab, fish and onion rings (yep), cod sandwich and seared ahi tuna (seasoned with old Bay and Blackened seasoning). All members throughly enjoyed dinner and would go back. So if you are looking for a seafood restaurant in DCL here you go. Sorry no pictures as we were really hungry and ate the food immediately. A few family members asked for their number to cater their 4th of July parties. We ate the leftovers for days after (so don't worry about your guests not getting enough at the buffet) and the chicken and turkey were still as moist as the day they originally made it. My husband and I live on the west coast and are devastated we can't come to eat at their restaurant every week. Charlie was also so wonderful to work with! She was very communicative and accommodating. We had a few guests with allergies and they were easily able to find a solution. They were even able to hire a few bartenders from their staff. The beer is delicious, so also consider order their kegs for your special event as well. Who doesn't love a one stop shop for food and drinks?? We love Brewery and the Beast!

When my meal arrived, it was clearly Tikka Masala rather than the Chicken Marsala I had ordered. When placing the order, the waitress and I had specifically discussed the Chicken Marsala, as she said it was on special, so she hadn't tried it. When I asked if the dish delivered was Tikka Masala rather than Marsala, she initially told me it was what I had ordered. A few minutes later, she came back and acknowledged that the order was wrong, saying she "actually doesn't know the difference between them," and told me the correct meal would take about another 10 minutes. It ended up taking approximately 25 minutes. When someone from the kitchen finally brought my meal, they apologized by saying, "Sorry for your server's incompetence." By the time my meal arrived, my family had already finished eating and had been waiting in the car for more than 15 minutes. Our server later came back to process the bill, but no compensation or meaningful effort was made to address the situation. When I explained how disappointing the experience had been, the apology felt very half-hearted. I completely understand that mistakes happen. What was frustrating was the lack of urgency, communication, and effort to make things right. A simple ordering mistake could have been handled much differently. The food itself seemed good, which makes the experience even more disappointing. I hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, because good food can only go so far when the customer service falls short.

The place was pretty empty, but the staff was friendly and welcoming. The food however, was not great. I ordered the tacos, which were pretty bland and flavorless, and the tortillas were old. My brother's dish came out cold, the margaritas didn't have enough kick in them... I would say the only thing we really enjoyed about the restaurant was their homemade hot sauce. Was really hoping to like this place as I love supporting local businesses. Perhaps we just came on our off night, but we definitely did not enjoy our food experience at this location.

We're always looking for other breakfast places when at Deep Creek lake and now I understand why Perkins is so busy because Moonshadow just isn't cutting! You better improve your quality quickly!
