When I was leaving the Mohegan Sun, I noticed that there was a rare KFC/Taco Bell hybrid nearby. With that known, I knew I had to give it a go. With that being said, my expectations were low after seeing how bad this location was rated. However, it turned out to be pretty good. To elaborate, my party ordered a lot of food and everything was done in less than five minutes. Furthermore, the service was really good and everything was correctly made. Considering that, I ordered the avocado ranch crispy chicken taco and burrito. Both items were surprisingly freshly made and tasted pleasant. The only reason why I'm writing this today is I legit ordered the wrong thing and came inside to order the right thing and the lady at the counter looked at me...drifted away into the back and started helping on the line. Waited over 30 minutes in lobby for food. Man at front counter was the only reason I was patient. He was busting his butt to serve everyone and the line was just piling up. His crew behind the lines were laughing at how stressed he was. When we finally did get our food there were things in there we didn't order, and what we did order, was either wrong or missing. My daughter asked for no sauce on her cantina chicken taco, there was extra sauce, she didn't get her nacho fries, my chalupas were covered in sour cream when I asked for no sour cream. I eat a lot of Taco Bell - it's my favorite chain. I truly do not understand how this location can still be open. I've never been to a worse Taco Bell in my life. It's the closest to where I live so when I'm really craving, I'll pop in thinking it can't possibly be as bad as last time and boy am I WRONG. They have never once gotten my order completely correct, even when I'm the only person in line, and whatever random things that do make it into my bag are messy and gross. Okay this is literally the worst Taco Bell around, honestly would make the 30 minute drive to New London instead of coming to this location. First all the employees are young as hell and just fuck around. The drive thru had cars wrapped around the building and a line to the door, yet they're all messing and joking around and just going so slow. It's a Taco Bell combined with KFC. I have never tried the chicken so I am just reviewing the Taco Bell part. It's a crowded place with the two fast food places in the same building. At least they is plenty of parking and a lot of seating. Even through it was crowded the line moved pretty quickly and the staff didn't screw up my order. That's important in a fast food place. The hard tacos were crisp and the beans warm and fresh tasting. Everything went just as I would expect from a Taco Bell. A pretty good place if you want fast pseudo Mexican food. read more

Taco shells/chalupas are always stale. They're sloppy when making the food I've gotten broken taco shells before. They fold the quesadillas which makes everything melt outside of the tortilla. I've gotten burnt food stuck onto my quesadillas and crunch wraps. They're freezes are never working and when they are they fill them after you order so by the time you get through the line they're half melted. read more

A few days ago my friends went through the drive-thru and it took at least 20 minutes, but I figured that was just because it was 11pm and not many people were working. So tonight I went to get dinner for my girlfriend and myself around 8:45, assuming it would be quicker service.. I pull up to the drive-thru, and wait about 5 minutes to get to the screen to order, then I'm asked to hold for maybe about another minute. I order the cravings deal, she asks what to drink and what meat I want, I say a pepsi and beef. I order a doublicious sandwich meal, and ask for a strawberry lemonade and a side of mac & cheese. She states it will be a 10 minute wait for mac & cheese, so I decide to go with potato wedges to avoid the wait. I then wait in line for another 15 minutes (none of these times are exaggerations) to get up to the window. At this point I'm told it's going to be a "6 and a half minute" wait for my doublicious sandwich, and they ask if I still want it. I decide to wait, and the cashier says "okay, just pull up to the right side near the stop sign and we'll also throw in an extra side of potato wedges for you". cool.. so I pull up to the parking spot to wait my "6 and a half minutes". Finally, about 12 minutes later, he walks out and hands me my food and I'm on my way. A total wait of 35-40 minutes. THEN, I get home, and we open up our wonderful bag of KFC/Taco Bell. I explain the story to my girlfriend and tell her how they threw in an extra side of potato wedges, I check the bag, no extra potato wedges.. Cool, whatever. Then she opens up her box of food, checks the tacos and they literally all have POTATOES instead of BEEF..... What?!? Potatoes wasn't even an option when she asked what "meat" I wanted on the tacos.. I've tried this tacobell several times. And every time I always say I'm going to give them another chance. But today I am DONE. I get the same order every time we go there. I get two cheesy gordita crunches with nacho cheese, and a bean burrito. Out of the 5 times we've gone there the gorditas are nearly empty every time. Like they literally put half the ingredients they are supposed to. I want to add that I worked at tacobell when I was 16, so I'm fully aware that every item is supposed to meet a certain weight. Secondly, the flat bread is always dry and the taco shells are always stale. Today the nacho cheese side cups I ordered had CHUNKS in them and dried cheese which only happens when the employees are not cleaning the containers out and changing them within the time they are supposed to be changed. We liked the taco bell side except they make you ask for sauce. Every other Taco Bell in humanity you just take what you need. My issues is the KFC side. My son wanted the " Hot Shot Bites". He and my daughter agreed they were really not spicy and both think Pop Eye's rules in the area of spicy chicken. I am not a fried chicken person. To me they were "Hot Salt Bites". They really torture you with the salt. In KFC's defense, my kids did not think they were overwhelmingly salty. They just thought they lacked kick. I had not had KFC in years and I had it twice the same month (3000 miles apart). Both reviews called "too salty to eat". Had the munchies for fried chicken, so we ordered the family meal with 8 pieces, two large sides and biscuits. The chicken is disgusting. I have never been to a worse Taco Bell. First, I ordered a Meal Deal A, and the cashier had no idea what I was talking about. It took me a few minutes of pointing and explaining to him what I wanted for him to understand. Then, my friend asked for a baja blast freeze, and he rang in a soft drink. After telling him a few times that she wanted the freeze, he finally decided to tell us that they don't have the freezes at this location. Once I ordered, it took nearly 20 minutes to get my food.
