We had a reservation for 545, but they set us at 5:30 when we arrived. The host was super nice, and the woman who sat us was very friendly. The front of the dining room was very busy, but we were seated in the back where it wasn't as busy. The vibe is super cool. The walls have beautiful tiles on them and they had a live DJ that was playing ridiculously good music. We were greeted immediately by our waitress, who brought us waters and asked if we wouldn't like beverages. My wife ordered a mocktail, which was reasonably priced and I ordered a spicy mango margarita. My wife's mocked tail was very sour, but she definitely liked it. My cocktail was not spicy at all unfortunately, however, it was still good! They gave us chips before our drinks even arrived with salsa that was a bit spicy, I really liked it. We ordered queso for a starter and they brought us more chips with the queso. It was not like the case so that we get at home, it had a mixture of yellow and white cheese. They also gave us fried jalapeños on the side, which was a nice touched! I ordered buffalo cauliflower tacos, and had the choice of flour or corn tortillas, which was nice. They weren't very spicy, but they were delicious in the cauliflower was fresh and crisp. I would definitely eat them again. My wife ordered a vegetarian burrito and it was giant! I ordered a second drink, which was a tequila cosmopolitan, as that is my favorite drink. I would recommend getting that over the margarita as for the same cost, you get a little more and it's actually a lot better than the margarita. I'm not sure why this place has such poor ratings as the service was great and the drinks and food were even better. We would definitely pick this place whenever to stay at Mohegan again.

We dined last Saturday around 4pm. Seated right away in a nice cozy table. The gentleman that served the table side margaritas was so knowledgeable about the tequila and restaurant. Our regular server was very friendly as well. They served warm tortillas and salsa. I had the skirt steak fajitas and they were amazing, highly recommend.

The food was okay but the service was good. the decor is typical mexican. We had couple appetizers and main course. the Nacho is big, Corn appetizer was okay and Shrimp fajitas is okay as well.

Service was great and our food came out quickly. You have to get the tableside guacamole, it was amazing! My husband and I were both happy with our meals.

To starters..... The food is exceptional! For chips and salsa was the Best tasting salsa I have ever had..... in fact I asked for extra to drizzle on my dinner CHIMICHANGAS! Very spacious and the wait staff friendly ! Not to expensive and very tasty!

First impressions: very spacious. Second impression: seated immediately Third impression: Nachos are a must!! We made a reservation the day before but that wasn't needed because of the dining room size. The staff is top tier from the order taking to food delivery. Nachos: gigantic portion and fully loaded. I wanted to eat the entire appetizer but the entree arrived ( a little too soon for my liking) Fish tacos: also huge and loaded with deliciousness plus a side of rice and beans! Steak tacos: looked tasty and well cooked My advice: come hungry because they are ready to serve you. Overall 4/5 stars ~ ~

Hi, We went here for dinner before the Patti LaBelle concert. This was my first time at this restaurant. I tell you they did not disappoint on no level. The food was amazing, the service exceptional and the DJ (Louie Dvyne) was awesome. The live music made the ambience very nice. Only thing missing was a dance floor. LOL This restaurant knows what customer service looks like. Today customer service is a lost art in food service industry. The general manager Andrew Bengtson came around to ask how was the food and see if we were enjoying ourselves. Kathy our waitress was awesome. She helped with recommendations. Kathy has been in food services for 20 years and 8 months at Sol Toro and she knew her stuff. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you want great food, great music and great customer service. Thank you for making our experience a memorable one. See you again soon. Make a reservation and go check it out for yourself. Enjoy!!!

Mexican Street Corn off the cob and Chips & Salsa

Monday evening early dinner. No wait to be seated or for service. Delicious appetizer - Mexican Street Corn (off the cob) just enough spice not too much! Salad was fresh and served promptly with sweet fried plantains.

Great spot for dinner! Lots of various Mexican options and lots of drinks. Kind of expensive for the food but I think it being in the casino raises the prices. They can accommodate large parties and they do take reservations. There was indoor seating and "front patio" seating overlooking the casino floor. Service was nice but a little slow on refills. I would go back in Mohegan again but compared to other Mexican places this was a little expensive.

3 pork belly tacos with rice and beans $18

Sol Toro is a Mexican restaurant located in the Mohegan Sun. They serve margaritas, tacos, burritos, fajitas, guacamole and more. The ambiance is laid back with a Mexican inspired decor. My family and I went on a Saturday afternoon, right before the dinner rush. The hostess asked us if we had reservations and we didn't, but we got right in. I gather that you would need one if you go a little later than us. The place was packed with a long wait, shortly after, while we were dining. Our waiter was prompt and friendly. He brought out complimentary, two buckets of freshly fried tortilla chips and salsa; those were good but I would've loved a spicier version of the salsa. I started off with their $15 coconut margarita, ouch, but those prices were expected, given the location. The margarita was delicious, it had 1800 coconut, white cranberry juice, coconut milk, and lime juice. For my meal, I had 3 tacos which came with rice and beans. I opted for the pork belly ($18) which had avocado crema, agave glaze, and roasted pickled veggies; wow, those were amazing. It was sweet, savory, and tangy with a bit of a crunch from the pork belly. One minor criticism is, the water glasses should be taller than their current ones, since I was done with my water by mid meal. The waiter was good but he did get a large party walk in so he got busy which I get. I was able to flag him down for the water. Overall, we had a good experience with the food, service, and drinks; aside from the price, we would dine there again.

I ordered The New England's with a side of turkey sausage. The eggs were fine, but the hash browns came as two picks and were hard as pucks! Needed a serrated knife to cut through them. Toast was cold as well. The turkey sausage was dry as a bone and basically not worth eating. Plus, they automatically add a 20% tip even though we were a party of 3. NOT cool for such poor service. Not going there again which is unfortunate because my parents had their Wedding Reception there in 1957 and my sister had her Wedding Reception there in 1984. Bummed! I was greeted immediately and was given the run down of where to go. The restaurant doesn't open until 5, so I decided to hit up the pub. Glad I did. It was quite relaxing. Background music is soft. I ordered the cold river Blueberry Elderflower Martini. It was on Point. Delicious! I also ordered The Cheese. Lived up to its name... Cheese lovers plate of cheese. Definitely need 2-4 people to eat all of it. It is a smaller quaint pub for about 20 guests. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall not a bad place to visit and would visit again for the drinks for sure.

They had a DJ I didn't know but he did pretty good. We danced all night and had a great time. Drinks were great. The Cosmopolitan Martine could have been better according to the few that ordered it but all other drinks were great. Bartenders were quick to take our orders considering how packed the place was. I have been here many times in the past 18 years. I loved that now they have a bucket to the left of the bar filled with water bottles. And this is great cause for us dancing all night hydration is important. So that's a plus for them. The only bad thing is that tables were filled with glassware and many broken next to dance floor. A dance floor that was packed so a little bump to the table and it could be a huge accident. Lots of broken glass on the dance floor too. I had to point out to one of the security guard the broken glasses near dance floor tables. They did take care of it fast. I may suggest to the manager to have a person come by with a bag just to pick up the actual garbage too. And maybe a bucket for glassware. Cause the guy that was picking up some was carrying it on his hand so it's hard to carry that many. So come by to have a good time. 100% recommend this place. The place is great for all ages. Music is great as well and they try to mix it up real good unless it's a theme night. Prices for drinks are reasonable considering that it's the casino. And now with no smoking band in the casino I'm happier to visit more often.
