Food was as expected. Service from Ashima was *GOLD*. He kept the back of house hopping. Ambiance at this location was easy going and fun.

Can lowering your expectations be a good thing? Look, no one goes to Taco Bell for nutritional value. You go for fast food that will sustain you, full of flavor (and sodium). But, suddenly I found myself craving Taco Bell because I heard about the Avocado Ranch Chicken Stacker (available for a limited time). I added Nacho Fries and the delicious Mountain Dew Baja Midnight (I could drink a gallon of that). Unfortunately, the fries were past their prime (if not decrepit). Still decent, but I would have preferred a fresher batch. The Stacker was actually pretty dang good - $3 and about 350 calories to boot. Chicken, lettuce, tomato, three-cheese blend, and avocado ranch sauce - all folded up in a tortilla. All this for $9. You can order through the mobile app, at the kiosk in-store, or at the register. The staff, particularly Jazmyn, were very nice. The restaurant appeared pretty clean, I noticed the staff emptying the garbage, etc. I would return and try either the No. 4 Meal (Jazmyn's favorite) or one of the Mexican Pizzas. The last 2 times I've been through the drive thru, they made my order wrong. Today I specifically asked for the tacos supreme with slow roasted chicken. I got tacos with only cheese, lettuce, and regular chicken. They are extremely skimpy as well. I even clarified with the cashier and they said they rung it up correctly. I honestly can't even remember the last time I had Taco Bell, but after this visit, I'll definitely be back! I went through the drive-through and was helped by someone I believe was named Ash. What a fantastic customer interaction -- it was so refreshing. One thing I've noticed during my time in Lake County is that it can be hard to find employees who truly make you feel welcome instead of just going through the motions like a robot. Ash stood out in the best way -- personable, friendly, and genuinely kind. We ordered Burrito Supremes and hard shell tacos, and I was pleasantly surprised at how good everything tasted. When I came up to ask the people at the register what was the issue I received the response "We just haven't gotten to it yet". This entire experience has been poor quality and I would not recommend this to quite literally anyone. I've been working all day and decided to have Taco Bell since it's within the budget. Now I am deaf mind you.. Which means the dining room were closed and I had to go through the drive through to show them my phone order and when showing up to the window I was ignored for good 5 mins until the woman came to the window and I showed her my order on my phone. Went inside one time because I thought it would be faster than the long drive thru line. There was no line, yet I still waited 20 minutes for my food. I didn't even receive my food.... I asked for a refund because I was under a time constraint. I'm here a second time and decided to do the drive thru because of how slow the service inside last time. Strike three your out! We just moved to Mount Dora from South Florida and the past three visits to Taco Bell in Mount Dora have been over the top bad experiences. Not just for me and my family but my retired parents who moved her as well. The drive through staff is extremely rude. They make countless mistakes on the orders and lake hospitality training and basic manners. They seem To have a young and untrained team. Today, Tabatha took my families order and made mistakes on our order. She was aggressively rude and demeaning. It was so bad we all cancelled our order and ask the two cars behind us to let us back up and get out of there. We will not return to that location again. I suggest you see for yourself. We went to McDonalds down the street and were warming welcomed by two retired age staff. We felt like we were in a fine restaurant. Wow! What a difference! You may think all Taco Bells are the same, but you should visit this one. The food is always perfectly prepared (I am one of those troublesome special order people), the lobby and dining area are clean and bright, but the real stars here are the cashier Ashima G and the young man working the drive through window. Ashima remembers repeat customers by name and each order he takes is like watching a Broadway production. The young man in the drive through is super friendly and funny, and doesn't let you drive away until he is sure you have everything you might need and that it is all correct. Why review Taco Bell? Why not! Especially this one because lately they've been really good. I've been going to this location since 1995 when they opened. Back then they always left one or more things out of your order and you'd have to drive back up there and get the rest, super annoying. I also remember a time when they used to skimp on giving you sauces too, only one per item!! super lame!! Lately, they must have went through some serious restructuring and retraining because they rock now. The people that run the drive through are super nice and professional, which is odd but awesome! I never go inside, but we did today and the guy taking orders inside was a trip. He was super friendly and entertaining, sort of like an auctioneer?? Again, odd but cool, kinda forgot where I was for a moment. The food took a little bit to come out, but the girl making it was taking her time making everything really well. We got a couple of $5 boxes which neither one of us could finish. I've seen a lot of photos on here for different locations where tacos and whatnot hardly have anything in them, not this place, that's why all the photos...I usually get meximelts which are small anyway, but here they make them really good with stuff falling out, it's great!! I mean a meximelt used to be $.79 now it's $2.19, yikes! They even walk around the dining area and ask you if everything is ok!! So in January, my son found a screw in his burrito. Taco Bell's response was to have their insurance company investigate. Today I got a letter in response, saying that since my son had no damages that my claim was denied. First off, I didn't technically file a claim, I just filled out the paperwork that was required. Secondly, I did not want any big pay off from the insurance company, my only request was to receive an apology from the Taco Bell in Mt Dora, and to have our meals refunded since after seeing the screw none of us could finish our meals. We have never received an apology from anyone. Lastly, the letter made it seem like we were lying about the screw because no machines were missing any screws. I am completely disappointed in the customer service I have received regarding this incident, and I will no longer be frequenting any Taco Bells. Sorry, you have lost a customer! read more
