So having worked in service industry as a bartender/server for many a years on the side in my lifetime, I know how difficult special orders can be. Whether it be for drinks or food, they simply suck to take....especially when dealing with a kitchen staff that is on autopilot. That being said, I've been on a health kick for a while now and want to enjoy the goodness of TB (bit of an oxymoron, right?). That being said, the lovely crew at Lake Street simply kills it every time! I began using the mobile app and have my order saved in there, so I simply click "re-order" when I'm en route and boom, there it is. The crew always greets me with a smile on their face and knows who it is when they see this batshit crazy order with no cheese or sauce on anything. Despite the fact that this is located in what some would call a less than desirable area, I have never had a single problem with a patron or worker here. In fact, I have actually struck up a number of conversations with people here while working on my laptop (the wifi is sick, by the way). They argue and call you stupid for expecting anything but what they gave you. A manager comes out and before asking or looking at the food starts saying there is enough food and asks that you keep quite she does not want the other customers to hear the complaints. Probably the worst Taco Bell I have ever eaten. Ordered through DoorDash, and the delivery process was good. But the quality of the food was very, very low. The quesadillas had barely any filling, the Crunchwrap supreme was not remotely crunchy and didn't have much filling, the nachos were mostly beans when we asked for no beans, there was no sauce when we asked for sauce, and we received some donut things instead of cheesy potatoes. The only thing that tasted kind of good was the loaded fries burrito. I would seriously avoid this location. read more

You know, I'm generally really easy-going when I'm in a fast-food place. You're out of chicken strips and I've got to wait for a while? Fine. Lots of people in line so I'm stuck for a while? One thing I'm not good with is being first in line at that counter and still having to wait. No "welcome to Taco Bell, just one minute." No "sorry, we're behind." No "with you in a second, ma'am." Just repeatedly noticed (three employees made eye contact with me) and completely, utterly ignored. There was someone else at the counter. He'd ordered his item with chicken and they'd made it with beef. The simplest, most elementary mistake you can make on an order, fixed almost instantly by just making the guy another one. For some reason this required the absolute full attention of everyone working; at one point I was standing at register 2 while three employees stared and made clucking noises and hand-waves at this guy at register 1. For his part, the customer didn't look mad. He looked mortified, and kept giving me these apologetic glances. Last night (7/5/2012) around 7pm I observed an employee drop a chicken quesadilla on the floor, pick it up off the floor and put it on the counter before throwing it away. He then remade the quesadilla and put it on the very same spot on the counter where he had put the dirty quesadilla. No, he didn't wipe the counter off. Then halfway through preparing my order he decides he needs to address an issue with an off duty employee. My burrito sits there drying out while he discusses 'taco bell policy' with an employee who apparently screwed up someones order earlier in the day. This is MY problem?
