    Taqueria 304 - Loaded nachos

Came here with a friend last week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I want to lead with the best here: the bartender/server here provided some of the best service I have experienced in the last few years. So many people have come to expect poor service (including myself) that positive experiences like this really serve as a wake-up call to what the dining experience ought to be like. Kudos to Taqueria 304 for hiring the best! I can't omit the excellent food and stellar plate presentation either. My friend and I both got the loaded nachos as our entrees and they were as delicious as they were beautiful. As for the drinks, plenty of beers on tap and in bottles to suit your needs, particularly of the Mexican variety (fitting). Ambiance is nice with some clever furnishings, like the sideways doors carpentered to serve as an entryway wall. One thing I will mention is that open-concept establishments tend to have noise issues and this place is no exception; even still, my friend and I were able to hear each other on this occasion (no promises when the place is full). Parking here can be challenging due to all the construction currently happening in the area though there are spots available on both sides of the street which ought to be enough at most times of the day. All things considered, Taqueria 304 is a welcome addition to the area and I hope they stick around for a long time to come! Overall: 4.5 stars ---- Pros: - Outrageously good service, that needs to be commended in a world where such service is increasingly rare. - Excellent food with a skilled eye for presentation. - Great draft/bottle beer selection. - Pleasant ambiance with clever furnishings. Cons: - Open-concept spots can have noise issues, though it wasn't too bad during our visit. - Parking is tough but still available.

Every visit, every dish I ordered was phenomenal. The owner always comes out to ask if everything was ok and then sticks around for a conversation. One of my favorite restaurants on the circuit.

Next thing I know we and contracted FOOD POISONING that night around 8:00 PM. First I notice my stomach bloating really badly and of course diarrhea and vomiting. I couldn't sleep well that night from being sick. Next morning my niece calls and ask, "hey are you sick"? I'm like heck yeah we BOTH had the same symptoms. I call Pancho Taco Mexican Restaurant and the so called manager didn't apologize for one, nor did he want to rectify the issue. He literally said, "What do you want me to do"? I said excuse me?? Because I'm lost, how are you going to rectify this? "He says he's not"! I said what sir, we come here quite often since being here this past year, karaoke, lunch, dinner dates, my niece comes for margaritas with her siblings and friends and you don't want to at least refund me and my niece's cost of dinner (not knowing at the time my daughter was sick that night also and my five year old niece) since we ate the same thing and live separately and NEITHER ONE OF US ATE ANYTHING EARLIER THAT DAY... He told me no and never!! I'm like sir I paid $80 and I'm not asking for anything but our portions. He continues to say no!! Next myself, my niece and her daughter goes to urgent care and ALL THREE OF OUR STOMACHS WERE RUMBLING the doctor said and gave us Zoltan and said we had to let it run its course. It's so crazy we have a place that got us all sick and I'm getting backlash over $30 or so bucks and he's claiming the chicken and steak was cut differently and there's no way. I'm like sir my daughter is sick and she doesn't even eat meat, and there is a such thing of cross contamination. But it's okay I'll just call the Mansfield Ontario Richland County Health Department and contact the Usda Food Safety And Inspection Service

Friends…read morewanted to go out for a last minute dinner, and I wanted to be able to make a reservation. Crave Cantina had openings, and booking online was easy. I was a little surprised to see how empty the restaurant was on a Saturday night at 7 pm. The bar was totally empty and maybe half of the tables were occupied. One big difference I noticed was that the drink menu was significantly reduced and a lot less interesting. However, the margarita and sangria I had were both good. We started with a large order of chips, the salsa trio, and a plain guacamole. This was outstanding. Everything tasted so fresh, and I appreciated that the salsas actually tasted different (a red smooth salsa; a chunky, black bean salsa; and a salsa verde). I was feeling pretty basic and ordered a quesadilla with steak and a side of refried beans. The quesadilla was what I wanted, the steak was tender, and it had great flavor from the chimichurri marinade. The beans were not good. They were made with meat and there were tons of stringy pieces of beef. Dry and not creamy. The quesadilla was so filling, though, that I actually didn't care. My biggest complaint this time around isn't related to anything that happened during our meal. I find it kind of off-putting that the taco menu just . . . doesn't change. While I appreciate that now you can get burritos or the aforementioned quesadilla, I wish there were more appealing choices. I'm from Louisiana and I'm just never going to order an alligator taco. Some of the combinations (like that one) seem wacky for the sake of it, and I feel that choice--while trend driven for sure--is feeling a bit dated in 2023. I will say, though, that I appreciate the amount of veg and vegan options. This most recent meal was probably the best over-all experience I've had at the cantina. Service had been an issue here before, but our server was great. The right balance of attentive but not smothering us (we enjoyed appetizers and drinks before ordering). This isn't my favorite restaurant, but we had a great experience, and that merits a new, better rating.

This place was actually becoming a regular occurrence for us and where we'd suggest family and friends visit. Saturday Date night we visited after traveling the past few months and we were so disappointed we got up and walked out. What was once a local cantina with great food and drinks is now another restaurant with an identity crisis. Service was good as always but what was a one page menu and a few specials is now a front ad back, beer menu, cocktails menu, and nothing looked good. We went for tacos and margs and left after seeing all the menus and identity crisis. We will not be back
