    Nice clean restaurant

Great service each time I come here!! Definitely recommend for breakfast. The mini skillet bowl is low in calories, and the service is fast in the morning. Beats waiting in line at McDonalds in the morning. $1 Freezes during happy hour 2-5 daily

I'm from out of town and decided to try Sabrosa based on the yelp reviews, it was by our hotel, and the fact the owner seemed active on here responding and thanking customers. I figured they seem like they care at least on yelp so I'll give it a try. Omg am I glad I did. The restaurant is bright and clean. My husband and I were greeted by the owners, who are a husband and wife duo. She welcomed us cheerily and while we were looking over the menu, she proudly let us know the food is cooked without seed oils and we were blown away bc that's unheard of for a taco shop most of them are for sure using that. She joked how they should probably have a sign saying it and I agreed. That is a huge selling point. The food absolutely held up. The meat was so tender, so fresh and flavorful- the cheese tasted quality-I'm not kidding that may be the best quesadilla I've ever had and I'm from LA, I've had my fair share. My Husband and I got the Asada tacos classic style & one of us got it with added peppers and cheese. Both were so soft, not too dry or chewy /tough. I need to know how they made it like this. Marinade? Quality meat? Is it simply the butter that it's cooked in? Whatever they are doing, it's right and for 6 bucks for 4 street tacos and lots of meat- (a little extra if you get the add ons) it's a good price. Especially when you get friendly service, and know the owners are committed to not giving customers toxic trash oil. The salsa was a light green mild, a bright green medium and a hot red sauce. Just be warned the red sauce is very hot they are not messing around. We will be returning tomorrow before we leave town. **add on: Yes, we came back for breakfast the next day. Yes, it was fantastic. I added pics of our breakfast: Migas and Al La Mexicana. I really liked how every bite of the potato's was crispy and beans were so flavorful! If we're in El Paso again, this will be our go to place to stop in.

CASA DE TORTA IS FAMILY. CASA DE TORTA IS HOME…read more I've been going to Dan's restaurant since 2001 when they were a little spot inside the Howdy's gas station (it used to be a Texaco and they had a different name back then). Then they moved to their own space behind the Walgreens and became Casa de Torta! I've been ordering their insanely delicious Chicken Quesadilla for going on 20 years now and I'm still not tired of it. Their Tortas and Taco Plates are amazing. They make these fruit smoothies that are absolutely bananas as well. But that Chicken Quesadilla, oh boy... that's my favorite! I order it with fresh avocado slices inside and I add their famous green salsa, a pinch of salt and WHAMO! Perfection! LOL. Dan the owner, Julio the Manager and sweet Esther the cook are like family to my mother and I. In 2018, my mom had 3 back-to-back strokes and everyone was telling me she was going to die. I needed funds immediately to keep up the mortgage payments on her house, pay medical bills, etc. etc. I made a flyer for the GoFundMe page I made for her. Dan didn't hesitate to let me hang it right on their front glass door so anyone coming in would see. Dan donated on the spot (despite going through his own serious health battles) and then the staff came together to donate a little extra. All I have in this world is my mom and my animals. She is the love of my life and for 8 months she was in the hospital with tubes and IVs sticking out of her. It was terrible. When I'd come home to shower, I would call in my order and pick it up the way I always do and they would always ask about my mom. Sometimes they would see how bad I'd been crying or how exhausted I was and they wouldn't accept my money for the food. These people were the family I never had in my time of need. They all love my mom and that fact alone makes me love them. My mom is alive but she remains brain damaged and paralyzed and I take care of her all by myself. We can't afford to eat at their restaurant like we used to because of my mom's expensive daily care, but every 8 months or so I save up to buy our favorite dishes from them. We rather eat there than any other restaurant in the city because these people are the best of the best when it comes to humanity. The amazing food is just a bonus. If you're looking to support a local business and get some AWESOME food while you're at it, this is the place to do it. Every time I have moved back to El Paso, the first thing I do is hit up Casa de Torta... not only because I crave their food ALL the time, but because Casa de Torta is home. Thank you!!!

I'm always too early since they're only open from 6pm-11:30pm, and I hate crossing the devil mountain from the Westside, but the stars aligned tonight. Now I'm even more mad because I know that I'll have to cross over the dang mountain at night to get my fix. When people say, it's just like Juarez, I don't really know what that means since I've never been to Juarez, but I imagine it's a compliment, since I lived in Southern California and crossing to TJ and getting food there as well as in Baja California (Ensenada, Rosarito, etc) means amazing Mexican food. Well, this is amazing Mexican food. The flautas: so crispy and light, full of meat and tender and soft inside...the sauces compliment it perfectly. I liked the cabbage salad they had with it as well since it fills you up and makes you think you're eating something healthy and not fried in lard. ;) The carne asada tacos (you get 5)...now this is what I missed from CA. Perfectly crispy chunky bites of meat, a little singed, a little fatty and well seasoned. It's the best beef I've had so far in a taco in El Paso. And check this out. All of this was $10! Seriously a great value. Cash/Venmo/Zelle/Cash app only, no credit cards. Call ahead as they get slammed and the little parking space has room for like 5 cars. The owner is so nice, genuinely delights at having people enjoy their food. I wanted to give it justice and eat it right away and he agreed that it was best since reheating it takes away from the texture and flavors. You can add pico, guac, cabbage, sour cream, and hot sauce. Sour cream and guac was really watery (didn't try them) and the hot sauce was so hot(!!) one drop was enough for all four of my tacos. The owner threw in free Flautas, but they were so skinny there was barely any meat in them. I didn't try them my husband and brother in law did. They weren't 100% impressed.
