Been living in Dekalb, IL for roughly 2 months now, and Taco Bell has been my savior! Especially with their newish $1 Cravings Menu. Their lobby is actually open than most Taco Bells in other suburbs. Drive thru is also open late, but mind you, I usually order upon Walk-In rather than Drive-Thru. This place is great, employees are friendly and always down for a conversation. Surrounded by Culvers, Fatty's and several apartments, this place is a key place during DeKalb's nightlife and daytime for students of all ages. The only con I've experienced is that they no longer serve the $1 Happier Hour menu between 2-5pm ever since they got their $1 Cravings Menu. YET THEY STILL HAVE THEIR HAPPIER HOUR MENU UP! Misleading to say the least. Besides that no complaints, definitely a life saver as a student. read more

I am a local DoorDasher, and after spending the **entire night delivering Taco Bell orders to your customers**, I finished my shift at 3:00 AM and drove directly to Taco Bell to get something to eat myself. The drive-thru line was long, so I waited **20 minutes**. Then the male employee working there tells me he **refuses to take my order because he's too busy and only accepts online orders**. Excuse me? **THE LATE-NIGHT DRIVE-THRU IS OPEN UNTIL 4:00 AM.** So you're telling me that after I spent the entire night driving around town delivering YOUR food to YOUR customers, I finally come to your restaurant as an actual paying customer--and your employee refuses to serve me? How the hell does that make any sense? I was literally out there all night helping your business make money, delivering numerous Taco Bell orders, and this is the treatment I get when I walk through your drive-thru to buy food for myself. **You just lost a customer.** And here's the part that makes this even more ridiculous: **I previously applied at this location for a management position.** You didn't just lose a customer tonight--you potentially lost a damn good employee who actually understands customer service, works hard, and gives a shit about the people he serves. Instead, you've apparently decided that it's acceptable for an employee to tell a customer to basically go screw himself while the restaurant is supposedly still open. That's your choice. My choice is to take my business somewhere else! And I'll be remembering this the next time I'm out delivering orders, too. I'm oretty sure fast food means not having to wait long. I waited 20-30 for my food to be ready. They messed up my order. I don't see myself coming back to this location. read more

ordered 2 street chalupas the other day and I'm guessing they ran out of chalupa shells because I instead got hard shells?? was really disappointed because I paid more than i usually do for the special item... I wish they just told me they were out so I could order something else... Regardless, the staff here almost always super kind and hardworking! read more

My family went last night to get some food and the order was all wrong. They dont eat beef or sour cream. They asked for no beef, add chicken and no sour cream. As you can see this place is horrible. They dont care about what costumers want or need. They could have got my family sick with the sour cream. 1 star is still to high of a grade level for them. Also corporate if your reading this do something and change that store manager that doesn't do any right and doesn't care about the costumers or her job. I EXPECT A CALL ASAP read more

ordered 2 CHICKEN quesadilla and cheesy fiesta potatoes with NO SOUR CREAM. Preciate the good service. Everyone did a wonderful job giving me the complete opposite of what i ordered. i could see forgetting about no sour cream but how do you screw up a chicken quesadilla lol? great work people! wouldn't and will not be wasting my money here. 0/10 read more

Have you ever drank a Pepsi that did not taste like anything? I did. Today. 7/26.24 No Pepsi flavor. And it wasn't a diet. The new chicken items came in box with chip and salsa. The shell the chicken was in seemed to have been precooked and sat around for awhile. When I pulled it up from the wrapper to eat it, the entire bottom of the shell stuck to the paper. The chips were warm, the salsa was tasteless, the cheese was ok Sad. Then there were the 3 soft shell tacos. Hardly any meat, and the meat that was in their was greasy orange, which had absorbed into the soft shell. The lettuce was funky, I gave a taco to my dog and she refused the lettuce. Hope she doesn't get the runs from the greasey meat. So now when ordering a soft shell taco, I should expect to eat 90% soft shell, 5% meat, and 5% lettuce and cheese. (And don't even ask, they didn't include any sauce packets for the soft shell tacoss. ( Pardon me, I forgot to ask. Saves them a buck I suppose if they short you taco packets.) read more

Are you a vegetarian? This is the place for you. Just order a beef anything. Do you like lettuce? This is the place for you: they'll give you a ton. Just order a beef anything. This one used to be my favorite fast food restaurant in DeKalb, IL. Not anymore. The last 3 times, no matter what I ordered, I get a lot of lettuce and a little tomato. That's it. Oh, wait! There is a little brown dot... no, 2. Bring the magnifier! Oh... yeah... that's the beef! Sorry, my bad. read more

What is wrong with these people. Simplest order two normal menu items and I was charged the more expensive price and got garbage..... done done done read more

It took 1 hour to pick up my food? I just got 2 cravings boxes. Honestly disgusting how long it took. They messed up my order too on the way out. I definitely didn't go back. read more

I live in basically the backyard of this place, and have never been disappointed. They messed up an order of mine once pretty badly, but were generous with sauce and gave us the food we asked for in a quick and timely manner. I wasn't a big fan of taco bell until this location, but I have to admit, this one is pretty damn good. read more

I don't know why people reviewed this taco bell so badly. i love this taco bell. it always has my back. i'm vegan and my order has only ever been wrong once from there out of all the times i have ate there. and when i went back to get it fixed the employees had no problem fixing it for me. read more

What makes this particular Taco Bell a 5 star is their staff. They are always extremely helpful, courteous and friendly. Each time I leave I am in a better mood then when I arrived; just by interacting with the staff. The cleanliness of the lobby and quality of the food has also been very good. read more

I call at 12:12 and ask what time they close. The girl that answered the phone say sorry we are closed. I say that's fine my question is what time do you close and again I get a "we are closed" ok that's fine your hours online are way different I would not have drove over here knowing y'all closed. Closed at midnight when hours posted says 1:30am so yeah idk what to tell ya. What is with Taco bell? Food is getting so cheap..You pay for extra sour cream or meat and you get a table spoon meat or sc .Sour cream looks like squirt of bird shit not a scoop..LOSING MY BUISNESS :( read more

The Website and the posted hours on their window says they are open until 2:30am on Thursdays. Went there after work at 2:05am and all the lights were off and no one was there. I've been in the drive thru at this location around 2:10am in the past and have witnessed them turning their drive thru lights off and refusing service to the cars behind me. I understand no one likes working those hours but closing up shop 20+ minutes is ridiculous and poor customer service. Won't bother detouring on my way home again. read more

My girlfriend was upset by how poorly her been burrito was wrapped, but my loaded potato griller was awesome, as usual, so I'm splitting the difference here, 3 stars, Taco Bell. You're still edible in my book, just work on wrapping your burritos better. Also, I'm told you should give out more sauce packets. read more

What sets this place apart from any other fast food in DeKalb County is how wonderful their staff is. They treat every customer with the same kindness, hospitality, and charm. You can tell they put this philosophy into all that they do, as the dining area is always clean and food is presented with detailed care. This is the kind of place that you can't help but re-ordering from! read more

Sooooooo slow. Never fails, we are always waiting forever, doesn't matter it it's the drive-thru or inside.

Good customer service comparably to other major chains in the area, but the drive-thru is a trap.

My favorite Taco Bell hands down. The employees literally couldn't be more nice, and more engaging. Every time I'm here, they are so friendly and love to have a small chat about your day or whatever. The food has never been bad, and they are very punctual. read more
