This Taco Bell consistently has the best food in the area for a Taco Bell. The servers are friendly and nice. Always a decent experience. However, today the floor was FILTHY and the seats had just been cleaned but no one bothered to clean the floor next to the seats. C'mon guys, everyone can see that. Clean it up!

Their steak burritos are absolutely incredible--honestly one of my favorite foods in the world. The steak is always flavorful, the portions are generous, and every bite reminds me why I keep coming back year after year. And I have to mention the red hot sauce they serve in the restaurant. I'm completely obsessed with it. It has the perfect balance of heat and flavor, and it takes an already amazing meal to another level. If you're looking for consistently great Mexican food with friendly service and food you can't stop thinking about, this is the place. Fifteen years later, it's still one of my all-time favorites.

It's not even new people, the same people have been working there ever since I started going. Truly rude and completely don't give a crap about the customer. They have a GARBAGE attitude in general even when ordering and asking a question. My daughter has a peanut allergy and we just called to ask if they use peanuts in their food. A normal response would be Yea, no, we can't guarantee cross contamination or it's in something we don't make here. The first time we called they just said we don't know, stopped talking for about a minute and hung up. The second time they said no, maybe, and then I don't know. When we asked if they could ask a manager they just said we don't know. The last thing I kind of understand but find annoying. They now only give two small cups of salsa (not enough) and charge for additional sauces. I get businesses need margin but you could be nicer about how you tell customers. The food isn't good enough for the crap staff and service they provide. No wonder they have such low ratings. Too bad I can't give a 0 star.

Food is good and the salsa has the homemade feeling. Service is attentive. After multiple visits, I am here to share and no longer keep this spot to myself, haha. Drinks are pricey but meet the expectations to match the price. Food is fairly priced with today's economy. Although, the only dish I didn't really like was the empanadas. Everything else was good. Carne a la tampiqueña was good, meat was tender and cooked just right. Their mole sauce was good as well(not on the sweet side at all), which is perfect for me. Enchiladas de pollo con mole were good, the chicken was juicy. Steak tacos are good. The chicken with tostadas were another hit, a tomato sauce base not like a tinga but still good. The mezcalito drink was great. Also, the Paloma madre was good. I did see fortaleza on the bar wall!!! Over all a great place to stop by when you're at or in the burr ridge area. I am excited to go back and try the ceviche and pulpo.

Our server, Ximena, was outstanding. She took the time to share the story behind the restaurant's name and the inspiration for its cuisine, which added a personal touch to the meal. She was friendly, attentive, patient, and never made us feel rushed, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The Queso Fundido was absolutely incredible. It arrived at the table bubbling hot and perfectly melted. We paired it with corn tortillas, which complemented the rich, cheesy flavor perfectly. That was definitely the right choice! For my entrée, I ordered the Poblano Rajas Burrito, prepared suiza style. It was a unique dish that I enjoyed, although it wasn't what I would consider traditional Mexican cuisine. In hindsight, I would have skipped both the mushrooms and the potatoes. The potatoes, in particular, changed the overall flavor and took away from the more authentic experience I was expecting. The rice inside the burrito also wasn't traditional Mexican rice, but it was still flavorful and well prepared. Overall, I had a lovely meal at Fonda de Paula and look forward to returning to explore more of their vegetarian offerings. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by and giving them a try.

I was attracted by the festive red umbrellas of the outdoor seating, and, amazingly, there was a table available. The service was prompt, polite, friendly, but a bit forgetful, slightly less attentive than the Spanish speaking guests got but I guess that's only natural. I do have to say the food was very good. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The beer selection is pretty one sided but the loco wine and cocktail downtown prices chill you right out of those choices. Despite the decent food, I took a star for the high pricing for a product that you can get at other Mexican restaurants for notably less--and for the Guac NOT being "freshly prepared tableside" whatever that means (Don't advertise something in your menu if you're not actually going to do it). I would not say to avoid this place but be prepared to have mucho menos dinero after you're done for an experience that may not match the weight loss of your wallet.

The prices were okay ($35 for two burritos, chips & salsa, a fountain drink and a bottled sparkling water). My husband got a fountain drink which was self serve, and there was no ice in the machine, and of the multiple types of soda he tried to get, they were all just regular soda water instead of coke, Fanta, etc. except for the sprite so that's what he got. I got a topo chico, and I had to grab mine out of a drink fridge, and the fridge wasn't really cold so my water was just slightly cooler than room temp. The bottle required an opener to get the bottle cap off, and i had to ask for one to open it. The chips and salsa were just okay. The chips were a little stale, and the salsa was a little watery for my preference. Our burritos were good and came quickly, but I can't say I'd be back.
