This place is absolutely the worst. We went through the drive through yesterday and it took 25 mins for two kids meal and two Crunchwrap supremes, a taco, and chips. There was only one car in front of us and nobody in the restaurant. We got to the window where we waited for another 5mins just staring at the dude making drinks ignoring us. When he finally opened the window, I asked how much longer it was going to take, and he was like, oh, your food is sitting here.... What the heck? I then asked for sauces BBQ and extra Hot sauce. When we got back on 99 we noticed, he didn't give us any hot sauce and our food was mild in temperature. Horrible customer service and mediocre food at best. I will never go back to this location! Didn't ask if I wanted to change anything in my order also did not make sure what I got and did not tell me what I got

It was 10:00 on a Friday night. My boyfriend, another friend of ours (the driver), and myself were carpooling to drive to a hotel for a work function the next day. We questioned amongst ourselves what we should grab to eat, since none of us had eaten anything for dinner. I recalled that I had seen a Taco Bell in Chowchilla, and since it was on our way, we could give it a shot. After all, the three of us are avid Taco Bell fanatics. Baja Blast shirts and everything. So we settled on stopping in Chowchilla. When we got to the area where the restaurant was located, we came around the building and observed that there was a KFC residing in the very same building. We were all like "hell yeah, the KFC Taco Bell combo, think we can get fried chicken tacos?" We then pulled into the drive thru (passing a cop in the parking lot, as car enthusiasts we tend to be wary of police) and pointed out the cop sitting by the building, which definitely set the vibe. When we saw the menu before the speaker and took a look at it, us Taco Bell extraordinaires noticed that only about a third of the menu was listed behind the sun-bleached plastic, with some outdated limited time items covered with some ancient-looking "Sold Out" stickers. We were kind of weirded out by the menu, as it seemingly has not been changed or updated in a good bit of time. When we finally pulled up to the speaker, we were greeted by a recording that said, "Sorry, but we are closed. Please visit us again at our normal business hours." We were thrown into a pit of despair, but were quickly revived from our grief as a human voice said not long after, "Hi, welcome to Taco Bell, can I take your order?" What a glorious night. We were certainly blessed by opportunity to order food despite our previous doubts. We began to place our orders, starting with the driver asking if he could get some tenders. The lady at the speaker said, "Let me check if we have those." We marveled at the fact that a KFC could potentially not have chicken tenders. About a minute later, we hear the voice at the speaker again. "Okay, we do have chicken tenders." So we order some of those. Out of sheer curiosity, I ask if they had nacho fries, as other Taco Bell locations currently carried them. The lady once again said she needed to go check if they had them. After a minute, she returns saying that they do not have nacho fries. Out of disappointment, I ask for simply a side of chips and cheese, a Baja Blast, a chicken Chalupa, and a Cantina Chicken Quesadilla (they had that, however.) We continue to place our orders, every request being met with a 1 minute gap of the employee checking if they had the item. After finishing our orders, we pull up to the second window. The first items we received were our drinks. It was quite comical getting Baja Blast in a KFC cup. The driver joked that he should have ordered Sweet Lightning and asked for it in a Taco Bell cup. I got my food first (in a KFC bag). I took out my nacho cheese to eat my chips and saw some sort of tiny black object in them. With our already had experience of the ambiance, liminality, and offness of the place, I had my suspicions about the cheese's contaminants. I handed it to the driver to exchange for another cup of cheese. The employee once again went into the kitchen for another awkward minute of waiting, only to return and announce, "We are out of nacho cheese." What a wild coincidence that the very last ounces of liquid gold that is Taco Bell nacho cheese would be paired with a mysterious black substance in my order of chips. Unfortunate. Oh well, I like chipotle sauce. I'll order some of that. The routine of going to check if the requested item is in stock continues. Yet another minute later, I get my chipotle sauce in a KFC side container. Not too strange while only considering I already received some of my items in KFC containers, but apparently I also got the last sauce cup along with the last of the cheese. The KFC orders were pretty normal. We all ate our food without any other instances of abnormality. All in all, weird experience, but the food was pretty alright. read more

Service was okay. Took over 10 minutes for our food to come out and had to wait a while for sauce. Ambianfe was also okay, place was clean and neat. Food was horrible. My boyfriend and his brothers crunchwraps had zero meat and were cold. My chicken chalupa and crunchy taco were both completely cold, kind of stale, and not to mention had a complete mound of lettuce and zero chicken. I did not order a damn veggie chalupa !! Ordered 15 bucks worth of food that consisted of 4 items. I like to use 3 Hot packets with each taco and burrito. thats 12 total. They gave me 8 packets. When I asked for the other 4 she said I had to pay. I returned my food and got my money back. I didnt have any change and I wasnt going to run my card for a few cents. Alright I'm going to try and not make this a whole long story, so here we go.. Last night my wife and I ordered from there and today I woke up violently ill. You know, the two food poisoning symptoms, now I will state we have been here several times and didn't have any issues but this time we did. My wife called them today and spoke with the manager, and was met with rudeness and denial. Manager says "it couldn't have been our food we just got everything in a few days ago so it's all fresh." Well my wife became sick midway through the day as well, not as bad as me but still..sick. I suppose she was saying that it had to have been something else I ate yesterday which was a total of 2 other things, a bowl of life at 9am or the banana I had with it. Which my wife did not eat. I don't want anything from this like a free order of what we received or anything, trust me it'll be a long time before I go back there if I ever do with how sick that made me. This place opens at 11 am. It is a combined KFC/ Taco Bell. Rarely do they have any chicken ready when they open. You will have to wait at least 10 to 15 minutes for them to have any chicken ready. This happens more often than not. read more

Ok, so I love Taco Bell, and I always order the same thing, Crunchwrap Supreme. I absolutely adore this item, and then I come to this restaurant and they ruin it. I always order no tomatoes on everything. The last 3 times I ordered no tomatoes, they put tomatoes. The ordertaker always rings it up correctly and reads it back correctly, yet it gets made wrong, so I know it has to be the cooks. The unfortunate thing about this item, is that you can't tell unless you take a bite or rip it apart, if it's made correctly. I had to pick out all the tomatoes, and that took half of the rest of the toppings with it. Honestly, when someone messes up my order, I just take the topping off I don't like (thankfully I have no allergies, just things I don't like), and don't even complain, but this has occurred too many times. I went there last night, and decided not to order what I love, just so they wouldn't mess my order up. I asked for no tomatoes on a burrito supreme. I pulled it in half, and voila, tomatoes! Geez, it's not that hard to get the order right, really! I work in this industry so I know. An occasional mistake is allowable, we are all human, but I chalk this recurring mistake up to pure laziness.
