During a busy week I stopped by to grab and go. While customer service was a bit gruff considering it wasn't busy, the food was delicious! Of course no white glove here, but when I asked for a receipt, it wasn't itemized and was charged 'one comida'. I've not been to their restaurant but had I known, perhaps price points are at least shared. The truck itself is clean, has a picture board and options posted, and marked clear of other locations. We chose two orders of quesabirria (half/4pcs), an order of chicken flautas (5pcs), and a gordita al pastor. Quesabirria is meaty hefty and cheesy loaded, consome on the side! The flautas was crispy and packed with shredded chicken, and the rice and beans were seasoned well. The lettuce were not limpy at all lol! I took a bite out of the al pastor and the ratio of protein and pineapple was money. Esooo, fuego! Not a cloud on this stone, Taqueria Los Jarochos food truck is a diamond on Ritchie Highway. Easy to bypass, they're staged in front of a red and black building, next to BoA, opposite side of HP Racing. Pull up and get some food truck grub and grab a spot at the picnic tables!

The guacamole was literally smashed avocado - no seasoning, no onions or tomatoes or lime or anything. Straight up avocado. We got the special for two - it came with chile rellenos, enchilada, tacos, and tamale. The tacos were probably the best flavor wise but the meat was spread on top of the tamale, and my husband swears the cheese in the rellenos was Rotel. Nothing in our meal was salted either - honestly all of the dishes felt barely seasoned. The atmosphere was pleasant and all of the staff we interacted with were happy and smiling. We didn't hate it, but I don't think we'll be back.

El Salto Mexican Restaurant - Prices Up, Quality Didn't Follow…read more El Salto used to be the spot. Packed house, sizzling fajitas, margaritas everywhere -- it had that lively, go-to Mexican restaurant energy. Now it looks like a lot of money went into renovations... and those costs landed on the menu. The problem is, the food quality didn't rise with the prices. It cost about $40 for my daughter and me to eat. She had a single taco with very little cheese and a big serving of rice and beans. My three-item combo was around $14-15, which sounds reasonable until you realize most of it is melted cheese, tortillas, and a low-grade beef mix. The crumbly cheese was hard to find, but queso was layered through everything. Then they charge $6 for a small side of queso, which feels wild considering how cheese-heavy the plates already are. Drinks were about $4, which is normal. Service was fine. But when the total creeps toward $40 for mostly cheese and filler, it's hard to justify. This place used to be known for great fajitas and a fun atmosphere. Now it feels like you're paying updated prices for the same old ingredients. Renovated space, not renovated flavor.

Not only is the food delicious and plentiful, but it's the most inexpensive Birria tacos I've found, and the restaurant is super cute! It's spacious and clean and the decor is so festive! There is a large area outside of the dining room with a stage that seems ideal for a large gathering or even for hosting an event which I was told they do allow. There is a limited amount of parking in front of the building but I am unclear on the parking situation. There is a vast selection of menu items and they have lunch and daily specials available. I even order via UberEats for a great deal! I have given plenty of reasons to check them out so choose one and go! :)

The pupusa was perfectly stuffed, with a great balance of savory pork and melted cheese. It was flavorful and comforting--definitely the standout of the meal. The lengua taco was incredibly tender, with the meat melting in my mouth, and topped with fresh onions and cilantro that added a nice brightness. The birria taco was packed with juicy, tender beef and melted cheese, though I would've loved it a little crispier to get that perfect, gooey melt. To wash it down, I had a refreshing mango virgin mojito that paired perfectly with the rich flavors of the tacos and pupusa. While the service was kind and friendly, it was a bit slow for a lunch rush. However, the restaurant itself is huge with two spacious dining rooms, plus an entertainment area. I heard they have live music and karaoke nights, so I'm definitely looking forward to coming back for more tacos and pupusas, and maybe some karaoke too!
