The tamales were amazing, the al pastor was excellent, but we all agreed the chilaquiles was the best entree we tried. Be warned, ALL of the entrees were HUGE. The chilaquiles were clearly enough to feed two adults, as was the huevos rancheros. In retrospect, we should have maybe ordered three entrees for four people. Oh, and don't skip dessert!

The queso fundido was decent. It was extremely busy and the server had trouble understanding what we wanted. The tacos were good enough for me to come back just for the tacos. Decent spot that I do recommend but wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for. Nice!

To begin with, our table and the menus given to us were very dirty and had lots of visible food tidbits, which made us have to clean things up a bit ourselves. That was okay, though, because I have experienced worse and wouldn't choose to let it impact my judgment to such an extent. I thought the only item that was solid was my lengua torta, which had a good amount of stuff inside ranging from meat to lettuce to mayo, and made me full in a very satisfactory way. A lot of the tacos were dry and reliant on the lime for a little bit of juice, including the birria tacos. My partner ordered the chicken, shrimp, and fish tacos, and thought they all tasted mediocre. Personally I enjoyed having some radishes because they cleansed my palate when needed. Another unfortunate event was that later that night, I experienced a severe stomachache and had to throw up. Granted, I have not tried their birria with consomé yet, which per my understanding was what made them famous since the beginning of time, at least according to a piece of newspaper I had seen next to the bathroom. Next time when I visit, I will try such instead, which I hope can provide me with an improved experience.

I walked up to the counter and had the nicest man take my order. I had been eyeing the meat and potatoes burrito for a while. I got it as a combo. I got potato olés as my side. My combo came with a fountain drink. I paid with a credit card. The transaction went smoothly. I got a cup and headed to the drinks area. I filled it with Diet Pepsi. Filling my cup up killed a bit of time, along with getting a straw and napkins. I probably waited for ten minutes at the most for my food. A woman called out order 8. My receipt said 208. I didn't know whether she was going with the last digit of the order number. So, I showed my receipt to her. She rattled the contents of the bag. Yep, it was my order and the place goes with the last digit of the order number. I thanked her and wished her a great evening. She reciprocated. Even the man who had taken my order also said goodnight. Such a nice touch. I headed to my car and drove back to the hotel. It was a clear evening and a nice drive. I chowed down when I got back to my room. I tore into my meat and potatoes burrito first. It had ground beef, potato olés, nacho cheese, sour cream, lettuce, and tomatoes. I have never been big on sour cream, so I'll need to have that held next time. Luckily, there wasn't all that much of it in my burrito. It was a hearty, hefty, flavourful burrito. It was huge. I loved it. I love potato olés. Each one is so enjoyable to devour. It's like having a hybrid of mashed potatoes and tater tots. You get the best of crispy and creamy potatoes in each olé. So good! My Diet Pepsi was refreshing. It washed everything down and hit the spot. I had a great experience at this eatery. I'd return when I'm in the area. I can also say that I've finally been to New Hope.
