Top-tier experience. Service was quick and friendly. Food was fresh and cooked to perfection. The location was easy to get to. One of the best Taco Bell's I've ever visited. Only downside was the window was a bit high, but still worked as expected.

Slowest Taco Bell ever. Waited in the drive through for 20 minutes for 2 tacos at 3:30 in the afternoon.

First of all, to the person who gave this restaurant a one star review and said it's not true…read moreMexican, thank-you! That's what got me to come try this place. Don't get me wrong, I do love true Mexican food, but I also love Tex-Mex, Arizona-Mex, and New-Mex. It annoys me when all of the Mexican restaurants in an area are basically the same thing. Now, as for what I got and what I thought, unfortunately I had already eaten by the time I learned of this restaurant's existence. I wasn't hungry but decided to stop in just to try a cheese enchilada. I've been obsessed lately with Texas-style cheese enchiladas like what I grew up with. This enchilada awakened a long-dormant memory from my childhood before my parents divorced around 1983. In my recent research into Texas enchiladas, I learned that alongside the popular Taco Tuesday there is also an Enchilada Wednesday, and it originates apparently in San Antonio, TX where the public school system has served cheese enchiladas for lunch on every Wednesday for over 50 years and counting. According to what I've read, it's hands down the most popular meal of the week, and many kids who bring sack lunches the rest of the time will buy lunch in the cafeteria on Wednesdays so they can get the enchiladas. They're that popular. Well, I briefly went to elementary school in San Antonio in the early 80s and would have had them, but I didn't remember them. But trying this enchilada here today brought back the memory of eating cheese enchiladas in San Antonio as a kid. This was San Antonio-style enchiladas and the closest I've had to them in many years. So you can keep your "true Mexican" food. I'll stick to the true Tex-Mex food like I grew up eating in Texas and, later, Arkansas. And what I had today at the Lopez Taco House was it! (It was also really nice having green sauce that wasn't just green because of tomatillos but actually had some good heat and flavor from various chilies. It also reminded me of Texas.)

This place is the real deal! The Carna Asada tastes like it was right off a charcoal grill. Yum!…read moreThe birria tacos were unlike any other place. The broth had a wonderful thickness and so much flavor. I almost wanted to drink it straight out of the bowl. The burritos were filled and delicious. They had an elote cart featured tonight. It was out of this world! One of the waite staff was so very kind. The restaurant itself may look a bit dated or worn but trust me the food totally makes up for it. Run don't walk to eat at this place!

DATE & TIME: August 9, 2026 @ 3:00pm…read more WAIT (how busy): No wait, only a few tables of patrons. AMBIANCE: It is located in a small strip mall o. The end, decor matches the authenticity of the cuisine, music was at an appropriate level. CLEANLINESS: CUSTOMER SPACES (lobby, seating): Appeared clean BATHROOMS: Did not use SERVICE AREAS (kitchen, behind counters): Did not see. STAFF: SERVER: Younger male. Very nice, was attentive, pleasant. HOST/HOSTESS: She was very friendly. OTHER (manager, buser, bartender): Did not have any other interactions. SERVICE: Service was good, server was very nice with any questions we had. *** What we didn't appreciate was when it was time to pay the bill, the server brings out the handheld payment tool (like a lot of restaurants use now), server holds the tool so my husband can see and stares at the tool, watching my husband choose what tip amount etc. It automatically defaults to a 20% tip and then increases from there for tip choices!! We felt very pressured and awkward with this. We like to take our time and figure out how much we want to leave based on service not feel "pushed" into choosing one of the pre chosen percentage amounts (especially if they default to a minimum of 20%)!!! The server needs to leave the tool at the table walk away or stand farther back so the customer can privately pay. FOOD &/or BEVERAGE: Birria Taco Dinner TASTE: tacos were very good, flavors of the meat was amazing and that dipping sauce was so good! Beans and rice were basic (nothing different than other places). SIZE: average PRICE: $15.99 Chimichanga TASTE: chicken meat was very flavorful, overall was a very delicious chimichanga. SIZE: average PRICE: $16.99 Basic Burrito TASTE: ground meat was very flavorful, asked for only meat and cheese (normally comes with beans and rice inside) and it had a small amount of beans inside :(. Overall was a delicious basic burrito. Note that this burrito is served dry not wet. SIZE: average PRICE: $9.99 Burrito Chaparrito TASTE: shredded beef was very flavorful, asked for little beans but seemed like the normal amount, also has rice topped with cheese (this is not a wet burrito). Overall was a very good BUT this is the same as the basic burrito except you get cheese on top of this one (which costs you an extra $8.00!!), if my husband would have known that, he would have just done the basic burrito too! SIZE: average PRICE: $17.99 OVERALL THOUGHTS: Paid $80 for our family of four. Food is very good. Staff were very kind. Didn't appreciate the check paying experience (full explanation under service). WOULD I RETURN? Possibly, but we would not make a special trip.
