Delicious no frills tacos. Appreciate that the meats are not over salty but still will spiced! I almost was disappointed cause they had to check if there was Lingua, which is this mainly vegetable Eater's go-to taco! I don't do lots of meat when cooking at home, but when I go out, I want good soul sticking food. Haha! Fortunately, a fresh batch of Lingua was on its way. The tacos do not disappoint. Spiced really well was the al pastor. The pineapples were a nice touch to bring out the spicy marinated cooked meat. Equally well spiced was the Carne asada. The notes of cinnamon and fresh cilantro brought notes of Vietnamese bo kho to mind but less spicy and surprisingly less oily. The star taco was the Lingua! So tender and not over salted. My little one basically ate chunks of it with chips and rice and didn't ask for the cilantro to be taken off! I love chilaquiles and this was a good one with green sauce. I like mine with lime, but they were already pretty citric so I didn't miss it too much. Also was able to get more avocado, so that was a huge plus. Next time I'll have to try the horchata, but I really needed coffee after running around all morning and coffee if FREE (though a bit weaker than I'm used to) with purchase!!! I do wish they had a "soda water" option on the fountain drinks. Overall, we are totally putting this on our rotation for food outings. Plus, it's super close to Aldi, Staples, Home Goods, and Walgreens! So it's convenient if you are running errands and a much better "fast food" option with less oil! read more

I've been here a few times and heard all the hype. I ordered the breakfast empanada. Highly recommend taste so good. They don't serve any breakfast burrito which is a huge letdown considering they serve breakfast all day. Their breakfast torta is okay, but I would prefer a burrito option for breakfast. Their coffee is horrible so skip it which is probably the reason why it's free. I've had some nachos recently and it was okay. Nothing to go out of your way for just felt like the chips were cold and stale and not freshly made. The Jeffrey is just a very long egg roll with beef stuffed inside. I have not had a chance to try out their tacos but will return and perhaps either increase or decrease my rating based on the experience. Also, the music is a bit loud and makes it very difficult to chat with the cashier when you have clarifying questions about the menu. read more

This was my first time trying Taco Bamba. The restaurant was pretty lively. There were people inside looking at the menu displayed above the register trying to figure out what they wanted. After a few minutes of doing the same thing, I walked up to the register and was greeted by a very energetic gentleman. I ordered the Arabe, The Lopez, and Urban Camaron. I first ate the Urban Camaron, it was delicious, the shrimp was seasoned very well and the taco was flavorful. I would definitely get this again. Then I had the Arabe, this was really good too. I was too full to thoroughly enjoy the Lopez. I ate it decomposed, mainly just eating everything except for the bread. I am looking forward to returning so I can try some other tacos. read more

The food and drinks are delicious, and the prices aren't bad either for what you get. The biggest downside is that it's often very difficult to find somewhere to sit and eat when they're busy, and it can take forever to get your order at peak times - especially during their lunch rush. I love all of their bartenders (and their drink menu), and if you're by yourself or just with one or two other people, I highly recommend sitting at the bar if you can find an open seat(s). Overall, I highly recommend Taco Bamba, but if possible it's best to try to avoid the worst of the rush and dinner rush unless you want to have a significant wait. read more

i will forever be a fan of this place. service is always wonderful, i am greeted happily when arriving. food is always HOT and fresh, and any mistakes made they redo it right away no offense taken. the ambiance is chill as well, i can sit in here alone, stuff face and feel perfectly comfortable. definitely try the shrimp and carne asada tacos (dirty), the nachos are to die for, and the seasonal margaritas will keep you coming back as well! read more

I was enjoying my time here with my family yet was severely disappointed and frankly disgusted with how the managers were treating their staff, specifically the cashiers. The order is almost always prepared wrong. I love this place but I constantly have to complain almost Everytime about my order being prepared wrong. The McLovin it is always made wrong. The macho also. At this point I've been avoiding going back because the quality control is bad even though they have someone checking the order. Just ate here! I ordered the Chorizo taco, Pollo Rico taco, pescado taco and chicken quesadilla for my daughter. The chorizo was Excellent and the Pollo Rico was very good. The pescado was decent..nothing too impressive. I give it 5 stars for the location (closer than going to Ixtapala and Fish taco in Bethesda), the menu options, price point, and yes the music is loud but the playlist evolved from Tom Petty, Sound Garden, Jay-Z to Weezer, etc so for me, it was definitely bearable. The chicken quesadilla was better than Guapos and possibly one of the best I have ever had at a restaurant! The salsa bar is definitely a nice perk, too. When my number was called to the counter I picked up my tacos only to find them with onions and cilantro. They corrected the mistake and I ate the tacos. Would rate as ok, not great. I've been twice now. The first time was in December. It was one of the coldest days in recent memory yet they did not turn on the heat. It made eating there extremely uncomfortable. however the food was good. The second time I ordered carryout. The food tasted really different and not as good as the first. The portion size of the taco was noticeably smaller for the carryout as well. They are still fairly new at this location so they have time to bring up the consistency... And for the love of God, please turn on the heat for patrons when it's freezing outside! read more

The food is good. The ambiance leaves much to desire. They play the music so loud you literally have to yell your order. If you're sitting at a table, you cannot Hear when they call the orders.
