May 1, 2025. I wasn't going to write a review but I have had the last straw. We bought a home from…read moreClayton Homes in Sulphur Springs Texas in March of 2022. When we first started speaking with them, the salesman was a complete Jerk, talking down to us like we were stupid. Had a condescending attitude and a half. We went ahead and listened to their offer, until I couldn't deal with his pushy attitude anymore. I went to a different Clayton Homes where the sales people were very nice, and wanted to get a home from them, partly because they were nicer, and partly because they were cheaper. They were not comfortable with taking business away from the other lot without letting them know, so we went back to give CHSS the chance to make it right. The manager took over the sale, said he could get the price down to that of the other, and that he "wouldn't be out done". That should have been my first clue. Not only was the house damaged when it arrived, but they were very unreceptive when it came to fixing the small things that were wrong on the inside of the home. I should have refused receipt of the home. They did fix the major damage shown in the photos, but it should not have been damaged in the first place. After they finally got it over the SMALL ditch (they tried to take it over the ditch sideways, and almost tipped the whole thing over), I asked the delivery driver, what happened, and he said he hit another home while taking it off the lot. I told the company about the damage and they said no other home was damaged, so it had to come from the factory that way. Someone was lying. Either the driver lied to us about how it got damaged, or the lot lied to us about it being the one we picked out on the lot. They were supposed to be giving us the exact one we toured on the lot. It was not damaged when we looked at it. The flooring in the bathroom floor had a huge bubble in it, where it was not placed correctly, the screen door was missing, and the veneer on the kitchen cabinets was peeling off already. Also, they gave us cheap crappy entry steps to get to the door that are only supposed to be for construction workers and showing the homes on the lot, instead of the nice front steps the other place was going to give us. Very rickety and unsafe for the children. The Dirt work that we were charged for consisted of them dumping a few truck loads of dirt on an already flat area and spreading it really thin. No spraying to keep weeds gone, no spraying to keep bugs out... not even enough dirt to make a decent pad... it would have settled less if they had put it directly on the hard packed ground of the field. Since we took possession of the house, we have had to battle ants invading every summer. Not coming in through windows or doors, but literally traveling through the interiors of the walls. We had someone spray around the house a couple of times. They put a solid underpinning under the house that looks great, but has only ONE access point. Cannot get under the house to spray or fix anything. Ants got into the microwave through the wall and built a nest in the motor area. Microwave was shot. We removed it, and found a giant whole in the back with no insulation around it at all. Just interior wall, to exterior wall, with nothing in between except a poor excuse for a vent. The sinks all have a system underneath them that is supposed to prevent sewer gases from coming back up into the house, that do work, WHEN THEY ACTUALLY HAVE THE CAPS ON THEM. The septic gases where coming back up into the bathroom and thus back up into the bedroom. The Shower had a damper on it that was turned down so low, you couldn't get hot water out of it if you tried, made for very cold showers. TODAY WAS THE LAST STRAW and why I am writing this review. The hot water heater quit. We went to home depot to look at water heaters. Found the exact cheap one that is in the house. Had them look up the serial number and warranty. It not only had a 1 year warranty, when the one at home depot has a 6 year warranty, but that one year warranty was expired 6 months after we took possession of the home, AND it wasn't listed in my name. SO...IN RECAP: Jerk of a salesman, crappy workmanship, bait and switch houses, defective appliances, crappy foundation work, delivery of damaged property, and every time it storms we can see shingles lifting off the roof. I will NEVER use Clayton Homes of Sulphur Springs again.

Our home, detached garage apartment and boat dock all sustained roof damage in late March 2021 from…read morea hail storm. The first roofing contractor that contacted us was not ethical in stating he could work to reduce or eliminate our insurance deductible. We thought that was an odd thing to say and later discovered it is not legal! That same contractor did not carry liability coverage, so we declined to hire him. Fortunately, we had heard about Superior Roofing from a friend who had just had their roof replaced due to the same storm system. They spoke highly of both the product and the crew that did a great job. As soon as we reached out, Ryan and the other Superior Roofing leadership were in communication regularly, helping us through what could have been a long, arduous process with our insurance carrier. They provided us options and plenty of references to go and look at their work directly. Superior Roofing stated they used the same computer software as our insurance company and once the adjuster approved the damage, we hit the ground running. Superior handled the claim directly from that point forward, we receive both a new roof on all 3 structures, wood stain touch up and new guttering, at the recommendation of of our insurance adjuster. With the exception of weather, which makes any outdoor contracting schedule iffy, Superior delivered on every aspect. They followed through on every single item they planned to execute. Their team was on time, professional, polite and respectful of our property. In the end, we had a roof that was even more beautiful than the original, and fully guaranteed by Atlas, the roofing product company. Superior did a phenomenal job, as did their gutter subcontractor. They remain responsive to any questions that come up, and, when our insurance company got bogged down in issuing the final payment, Superior was patient and understanding. What a great company! Also, they really appreciate and take care of their crew, bringing cold beverages, pizza, anything to help them get through the hot Texas days and complete the project on time. Our next door neighbor was so impressed, she used them a month later!

Ryan, co-owner, made sure the insurance adjusters noticed all the damage that occurred to our roof due to a recent storm, and he took extra pictures of the damage and sent them to our insurance company. Josh, co-owner, supervised the job site, ensured delivery of materials, managed personnel / workers, inspected the quality of work, and made sure our yard, flower beds, and surrounding areas were cleaned after the job was done. Both owners were on-site for two full days, and we were so impressed with their attention to detail. Superior Roofing did a great roofing job and provided outstanding customer service. It took awhile to get to this point, but im glad that I'm able to work with a company who will make it right when they make a mistake. My advice for anyone experiencing issues with teh customer service is Just be sure to to get in contact with the right people. ---------------------------------- I purchased a solar window unit and panels in a kit from signature solar with the intention to keep my family cool in the event of an emergency. Well... that emergency came this July, and i quickly found out that the supposed new unit i purchased was dirty and obviously had wear and tear from previous use. It was Emergency I went ahead with the install. I then quickly learned that Signature solar hadn't shipped me any of the elements need to safely mount this thing to my window either. I had to rapidly cobble together a stand to support the unit, which probably voided the warranty. Luckily the unit worked and me, my kids, and my wife were able to make it through. I called signature solar the next day to let them know what happened and that i was not satisfied with what i had received, nor the stressful situation they had put me in by shipping me a dirty damaged unit with none of the mounting. The service I got from signature solar was terrible. They wouldn't offer compensation, or send me the missing parts to mount the unit. They would only offer a replacement unit, but..... I would have to ship back the old unit following through a burdensome process which i would be forced to partake in. I would have to coordinate this return with a freight carrier, find and set up a pallet and properly secure the window unit to it, haul it a warehouse and make sure the freight carrier handled correctly. That is a ridiculous expectation to have for your customer to do when your company is the party responsible for several mistakes. And Top it all off... They still after weeks haven't shipped me the new unit. Don't buy from these people. They have lost my future business. And what is sad is that I actually like the product. But when EG4 allows sorry companies like Signature Solar to be their distributor, it ruins their image and their end customers trust in the market place.

Shipping: They claim 2-3 days shipping, I have have 4 orders and they shipped between 5-19 days. With no updates at all if delayed. 2. They do not reach out, delays, out of stock, backorders. They won't say a word and make you track down the answer. 3. Deliveries: They pack poorly I had large Solar Panels with two 1/2 inch straps the arrived with a damaged side, off centered and my other small parts were not even shrink wraps and were sliding around the floor in the truck. And one is missing and they said wont cover it. 4. Damage Claims: they give you 72 hours. to inspect everything. They are closed weekend and if you get a order Thursday or Friday you are out of luck, as I put in my claims and zero reply. Do they have it? With Signature Solar its been guess after guess what they might do. 5. Paid shipping they have free shipping which is nice for high priced orders which I used, but if you pay for shipping to be here when you need it. They will not compensate you or make right any shipping issues. I have spend well over 20K with them since late August 2026 to Oct 2026. They talk allot about service on social media. But saying that and what they do, in my experience is not what they claim. Missing parts, thats your problem, they want you to prove the item isn't there. Damage, well they can take a claim, they just sit on and wait out the report. Its the only company I have ever seen that simply tells you nothing. And they lied a few time one example. I had one order, that was delayed, I reached out and they said the wire is on back order. I reached out the next day to get a time frame, they say, we have the wire it was not back ordered its the holidays. I ordered before any holiday. Then a few days pass by I yet again reach out and they tell me another story that was the 19 day shipping issue. No one ever told me it was delayed or why, on any order. They make you reach out and then make up what is going on. Signature Solar in MHO is not a company DIY or Contractors should use. They are wishy washy and you can not get a straight answer. And if you need orders on time. AVOID . If you have a damaged items they only give you 72, then make you sit and wait for them. Missing items? Well that is on you, if you can't prove they are not there, ya they said that. There are other issues and problems that are more petty and annoying that do not need to be in the review. But they are not a reliable company or one that does what they say they will. I want to stress, not only have I had issues. I have lost money from what I paid them for. Its bad enough to have issues and then they make you eat their mistakes. ? I am sure their are good experiences. But for several months they never made it right nothing. I have screen shots and documentation of what I state above. Photos. this s according to XPO is how it left the Signature Solar website as XPO took photos. Is this how you want your products handled? Its clear it was hit and yet so far not one response to know if its being reviewed. How do you even let this leave this way? This company from what I read, used to be really good. But the level of issues in so many departments. Well this is my opinion based on my own experiences. My recommendation, research and order from a company that is customer focus, and there are some I have used them. But Signature Solar is not a company I would use, 6 issues, none resolved. Nice people, friendly. But is just a poorly run company. The company is losing staff and the division EG4 had layoffs. This could explain the poor performance. And would show its a company in trouble and we all know that effect the customer base.
