Great spot for breakfast. Hot food service is quick. Lots grab to go items as well. Fully stocked convenience store. Tables and seats on the second floor. Friendly staff.

Went here while walking towards Bryant Park with a friend. Already had some food in the morning so we weren't hungry enough for a classic sit down restaurant, and we figured that this would be a good quicker option. It was an interesting place! They were kind of a convenience store. You could get sodas, candies, granola bars, pre-made food, etc. What was interesting about it though is that you could also order at the counter from a menu. They had classic American breakfast and lunch foods, build your own sandwiches/wraps, fajitas, as well as some Japanese and Korean foods. They also had a buffet-style section where I believe it's $11.99 by the pound of food. Seemed like they had a lot of variety! I ended up getting a basic tuna sandwich. Not exciting, I know, but it was super yummy and quick. The employee was very nice and patient as well. I don't fully remember what my friend got-- something like a chicken teriyaki wrap I believe? She thought it was just alright, but still liked the atmosphere a lot. If you go upstairs there's a cute little dining area where we ended up eating. I think this would be a great place to go if you're in a rush or need food during your work break. A ton of options, good service, and super convenient.

Soondubu FTW. Choose your veggies to add in. Comes with a whole block of soft tofu, an egg, and rice on the side. I went for the seafood version, but chicken, beef, pork available, too. The guys behind the counter were pretty fast, but it was also a late lunch. Perfect when under the weather. Takeout to nearby Bryant Park on a good day. Shoulda saved it for 2 meals!

Loved this place, the sandwich was so good. Lots of options on the menu, definitely going back. Perfect to grab lunch & head over to Bryant park for a picnic date or friends. They also have seating on the second floor so you can stay & dine there. The choice is yours.

Tabletime was one of those lucky finds when I'm hungry for a fresh prepared meal. As soon as I saw the sign that they have a buffet I went inside. This place is fantastic! Everyone I spoke with was so gracious. I saw the buffet and knew I wanted to stay. I asked if I could use the restroom first and the nice employee let me in. The restroom is clean too! I realized if I purchased the buffet I needed a place to sit to eat. I was told there's seating up the stairs above the buffet. I was definitely a happy camper. The buffet is $11.99 a pound. I can't believe how much food I got for only $6.50. I love the fact that they have breakfast items. There were so many choices I took a little of everything. Who else eats fish and pancakes! As I was leaving I saw all the other merchandise they sell. They make custom salads and serve French Toast, sandwiches and so much more. The pastries are individually wrapped and on display. The seating area was spacious and very clean. When I was finishing my lunch people were starting to come in. I came at the perfect time because it wasn't busy and I ate in a quiet atmosphere. This place is definitely FIVE STARS and when I'm in the neighborhood and I'm hungry, I'll be back!

Talk about a hidden gem. Nestled next to a popular burger chain awaits a convenience store, meets deli counter, meets buffet, meets a ramen eatery. Honestly so many options here your hungry stomach will always be satisfied. I couldn't decide between a stir fry or a salad and the gentleman behind the counter was very nice and didn't pressure me to decide in that moment. I went with building my own salad (needed some greens) and for $10 and change, the portion was wonderful. You get 1 base, 1 protein, a premium topping and then unlimited veggies- I loaded my salad up! After the salad was dressed, I was good to go! The shop is right near Bryant Park so stop in, grab some lunch and head over to the green for some fresh air and a tasty lunch.

Every time I go to the city, this is my number one spot for a quick and delicious meal. Everyone here is so welcoming and the service here is very quick and efficient every single time. The food here is so good too, I ordered their soondubu and I would definitely order it again.

One of the few restaurants in the area open on Mon 8th June covid20 (NY's phase one reopening plan). It's like a deli with no cats. A pub that doesn't play music (limited alcohol buying hours on Sat and Sun). A pharmacy but smaller. A food hall but posher. I think they stock a bit of everything. AND it's soooo clean. Quick friendly service. My to-go food tasted great and was very filling. Prices very reasonable as well. Note well, service was REALLY pleasant. I apprecilike and would definitely return if I'm in the area again. Thank you Essential Workers! The End.

I've been to the Ichiran in East Williamsburg but found this location to be more hectic and touristy, naturally. You order on a tablet, pay (no tip), and then are directed to a seat by a welcoming host. Poor guy must have to repeat the same spiel a billion times a day. I just defaulted to Ichiran's suggested levels for everything which made it fast and easy. Once you're at your assigned cubbyhole, you can hang your coat up on the wall behind you and fill up your water cup at the machine also behind you. You don't even see the face of the person who brings out the ramen which gives the whole process a mysterious bank teller vibe. With all this, the classic tonkotsu ramen ($23) with slender noodles nearly gets overshadowed, but don't fret since it's fantastic. I believe when you're done, you just get up and leave. Surprisingly, one of the instructional posters does not go into this.

I came in with a party of 2 on a Thursday at 1pm. There was a line but the line went by quick. When you walk into the restaurant, you pre-order at the touchscreen to the right of the entrance and later when you're seated you give the order receipts to the server at your window. The food at this location is obviously going to be pricier than it is in Japan (came out to around $60 for 2 people), but it is SO worth it as you can't get Ichiran anywhere else besides in Japan.

After my first visit: This is my favorite ramen restaurant on the planet. It's my perfect…read morerestaurant - but not because of the ramen. Because of the desserts! First - Tonkotsu (pork) ramen was perfectly balanced. The broth was deeply flavorful but not heavy, almost like an 80/20 hybrid of tonkotsu and shoyu (soy sauce) ramen. Noodles were springy and not overcooked, and the roasted pork had a slightly smoky flavor and was flavorful itself, not just protein and texture like many other ramen joints. We also had the edamame appetizer - super flavorful and addictive, and we wound up ordering a second one (for our party of four) after devouring the first one. Now here's why it's my favorite ramen restaurant- my favorite dessert is banana pudding, and Tonchin's signature Tokyo banana dessert is an elevated banana pudding that makes magnolia bakery look like amateur hour. Plenty of fresh banana and a carmelized banana on the side with a balanced pudding that's not too heavy - this is peak banana pudding. So it has my favorite ramen and favorite dessert. But can it do better? Yes. It can also have...my second favorite dessert! Tonchin has excellent shave ice desserts that reminded me of Korean bingsu. We had the strawberry and it was fresh, bright and had lots of strawberry flavor. Delightful. Service was excellent and the ambiance of the space is dark and elevated. I've had them before so I knew what to expect but it was way too salty, less flavorful. Had a very nice flavor, the salt overpowered it though. I tasted mushroom. The sauce stuck to the noodles well and the noodles were delicious. My daughter and husband ordered the spicy ramen and they said it was very very good. Couldn't decipher distinctly from other top notch ramen so it wasn't knock your socks off. From now on I'll order the base dish when I go places so I can judge better. The gyoza was cooked very nicely, came sizzling and the bun with meat was a little ugly, it looked boiled and unappetizing. The taste was just okay. The topping on it was notable. The waitress didn't help us at all when ordering. We weren't bowled over with the food, although it was noted the meat in the ramen was high level. It hit the spot but I will try other places in the search for our "return forever" ramen place.

For a restaurant, especially one serving customizable ramen dishes, with a allergy list post on the wall by the counter where I sat at B1, a little flexibility or empathy toward food allergies would go a long way. The interaction felt dismissive and unwelcoming, which made the overall dining experience uncomfortable. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and sadly this visit fell short. The smashed cucumber was good. Spicy dumpling was good. Ramen broth was light, not as rich or flavorful as others.
