We are new to Mesquite. Having come from Henderson, NV we're noticing there's not a lot of quaint, yet hip, cafe choices. Ever since Ella Mae's shut down we were left with few choices that have outdoor seating. We recently adopted a puppy and outdoor seating is a must for us. I saw an ad on Facebook for a roast beef dip special of the day. My husband said "that's where we're going!" So glad we found Table of Contents! The food is amazingly fresh and high quality. The basil tomato soup is TDF. Galen, the owner, is one of the nicest people we have met in Mesquite (as well as his assistant). He's very personable and will customize your meal to your liking. So far we've had the roast beef dip, the tuna salad, and the tomato soup. All were amazing! Can't wait to try the coffee. We love this place! You really need to try it. read more

Osario is such a fun and friendly person to work here. He was awesome and even gave my dog a treat. He was super busy as it was lunch time and the food he was making for others looked great. Unfortunately I just had lunch somewhere else and wanted a coffee treat. I ordered the frappe and sorry osario it was horrible. After a few sips I threw it out. However no regrets as it brought me into the library. I'll try something else next time I'm in town! read more

Now if I could give ten stars I would! My husband unfortunately and unexpectedly ended up in Mesa View Regional Hospital in Mesquite, NV. I was very hungry and really wanted a good sandwich so I Yelped some close by. I called one and nobody answered and the next was Table of Contents because of how close they were from the hospital. I called and asked if they Uber food out. The gentleman I asked said "we don't , but I know months ago they did". Told him my situation and how I couldn't leave my husband to pick up and he offered to bring my order to me. He totally understood my situation and made the comment "you seem hungry". Lol. I just loved how much he cared. Of course I said I didn't know what they served so he took the time to tell me what his specials where. I just wanted a yummy turkey sandwich. He told me what he could add to it and I said yes to everything including a spinach aioli he said was excellent. I said absolutely! I had him put it on a marble squaw bread. He told me what kind of chips and I added a coke. He arranged to call me when he got to the ER and I met him there. Such a nice older man in his chefs coat. He proceeded to tell me he threw in an extra bag of chips. I paid him cash and he left. Oh my gosh I was so blown away that he made the trek to deliver to me and then again blown away by how scrumptious the sandwich was not to mention the presentation even in a styrofoam carry out container. Check out the pic. My pickles were bedded on lettuce, with sliced onions, tomatoes, black olives sprinkled with parmesan cheese. Incredibly yummy!! See my pic it tells all. We're always on a search for a good cappuccino on our drives up and down I-15 on the west coast. Avoiding Coprorate coffee chains is the goal. This cafe is locally owned, run by very nice people and has a good cappuccino. It's adjacent to the local public library, not in a strip mall or roadside gas station. It's 3-4 minutes off the freeway. We'll stop here again. A pleasant experience. read more

I travel I-15 a lot and I used to avoid stopping in Mesquite - I would stop for gas at Terrible's in Jean and then push through to St George for food. But this little cafe has changed it all, and I will for sure be stopping in Mesquite whenever I can in the future! It's at the public library so I feel safe even when traveling alone. There is a library display inside so you can learn something while you wait. I got a daily special and it was delicious, especially mid-road trip when all you can usually find is fast food. The staff was absolutely wonderful, didn't flinch when I changed my mind a couple times and even gave us a little treat as a congratulations gift (we were traveling back south from our elopement in Denver). Huge and Galan make you feel like a part of their family. Located inside the Mesquite Library, they have great sandwiches, quiche, soup, cookies, brownies, and coffee. Galan makes a great Americano that can perk up your day. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they only have drive-thru and takeout service. I have two favorites vices: the chocolate chip cookie and chocolate brownie paired with an Americano in the afternoon. read more

If you frequent the library, you'll know about this hidden gem, a locally run lunch shop inside the library building. It's well known to the locals, and worth stopping by to have one of their wonderful sandwiches, quiche and/or terrific soups. There is a different menu each day. Friday is my favorite because of the amazing, full bodied clam chowder that seems to get better each week. Great food and great prices. Really great little experience. Totally unexpected; this cute little place is so hidden. We were driving through on the side to grab some coffee and decided to maybe get a bite to eat. We didn't want to end up at the chain Starbucks, so we tried this please instead, and are we glad we did! The two gentleman who we're prepping everything were so sweet and accommodating. It's not a huge selection, but either is in n out! Haha They thoughtfully prepped our meals. It's great because each day they have something new so you never feel like it's the same. We happen to come on a Friday when they had a turkey bacon Panini with avocado aOli. Looking forward to saving this place in my bookmarks to stop by anytime I passed through here. Highly recommend. What a gem! Looking for indoor activities on a rare rainy day, we ventured into the Mesquite Public Library (which is also great). Table of Contents is fabulous! We had the vegetarian three bean chili and were wowed. It was loaded with beans, flavor, garnished with jalapeños and other peppers. It's their soup special on Thursdays so, rain or shine, we'll be back for this yummy chili. The homemade carrot cake cupcake with real cream cheese frosting was also a special treat that we took home with us and loved every bite. We look forward to trying the other menu options!
