We were visiting West Virginia for the day and this restaurant was on the top of our list. Got here at 3.02pm to find out, to our surprise, that they only serve 4 appetizers between 3pm and 4pm. We checked the website for hours they open before driving over an hour to the restaurant. The website says 11am-10pm, but the hours specific to each dining time are listed on the individual menu. So read that carefully before you plan your meal. Also we actually came here to eat burgers, as the photos on yelp looked amazing. Of course it's our fault we didn't check the menu, but they have burger nights on Tuesday's only. Anyways we decided to order sriracha fries and I must say they were amazing! We knew from the fries that the rest of the food would have been good as well. But waiting for an hour for the main course just wasn't happening when we all were tired and hungry. Also, first world problem, but the table napkins they use shed like crazy. My entire black leggings were covered in lint. There was lint on the tables, on our plates and when I pointed this out to the server, he jokingly showed my his shorts and said these napkins have too much lint and everyone who works here is always covered in that. I mean if you can't use good quality products, just use regular paper napkins like the rest of the restaurants. read more

Located conveniently in the Wharf district along the Mon River Trail, a brunch at Table 9 will be a pleasant experience whether you sit outside in the soothing river breeze or inside with the natural lighting and invigorating atmosphere. The chicken & waffles (my personal brunch go-to no matter the restaurant) was solid. I also ordered a biscuit with a side of gravy (not on the menu, but the waiter - who had a terrific mustache, by the way - was very accommodating), which was scrumptious. Coffees were refilled diligently, and my friend who ordered tea had no shortage of flavor options. The only nitpick that's prevents me from giving a full 5-star review is that it took a long time to get the food once ordered. We stopped here because we were traveling with a dog and needed somewhere with a dog friendly patio. I hate to say I'm surprised it was in West Virginia, but I am. Though some of the portion sizes could use some work, as others have reviewed, this place was a satisfying surprise on our way home from Pittsburgh. The brussel sprouts appetizer was heavenly. My mushroom risotto was a bit salty but the flavor was good. That's probably my only complaint other than portion sizes though. This is a hidden gem on WVU's campus. It sits right on the river and on a nice day, it's so peaceful to dine on their deck. I stopped here based on local reviews and was pleasantly surprised. I did not feel like I was in WV at all but more so dining in a large metropolitan city as soon as I stepped in the door. The menu is always changing and I chose the brussels sprouts appetizer and grilled pork chops and ratatouille as my main course. The brussels sprouts were cooked to a perfect crispiness but not overdone. The pork chips were succulent and the ratatouille was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was quiet on the deck and seemed to be equally on the inside with the wooden floors and cozy setting. I can't wait to visit Table 9 again to see what seasonal features they have and dine inside. You don't want to miss out on visiting this gem. read more

went on a Sunday for brunch with two friends.. had to sit at bar due to no tables available which we were fine with but waitress/bartender service was awful. Kept cutting up fruit to put into drinks, never once washed hands & had a tendency to put half her hand in the drinks to place the fruit... completely forgot to serve us a few drinks we had ordered.. and to top it off once our food came out, we all ordered something different but each dish had eggs in it, the eggs just tasted awful. read more

We checked out this place this morning brunch. Many delicious choices and for us, a server that didn't really help make choices (when I asked him if if I should go with the bacon hash or the avocado benny he told me, "both were kind of the same with a meat, egg and starch..." I think the servers (or at least that one) needs some tips on helping customers pick out a meal and delivery of taste/serving/what the plate is. That answer was not awesome (duh buddy, duh). Anyway, I went with the bacon hash, which was really a scrambler (see picture). It was good, but had I known it was scrambled eggs with bacon I would have ordered something else. My partner ordered the special breakfast tacos and our daughter had the yogurt, which was amazing especially for the price! read more

Loved my dining experience as this adorable restaurant located the river in Morgantown. There is ample seating both inside and out on the deck, I highly recommend requesting outside seating a nice summers evening to enjoy to the waterfront views and fairy lighting ambiance. They have plates the share for appetizers, really enjoyed their salmon carpaccio, as well as larger main dishes including halibut (fresh, perfectly cooked, and larger portion size) service with sunchoke vegetables (a root vegetable that has a similar taste to potato) and the seared scallops in a rich and creamy risotto. Didn't have room for desert this time around, but will be sure to check them out next time through! read more

Came in with a party of five that wanted to sit on the balcony on a Saturday night and they were able to get us in quickly. We weren't used to ordering a 2nd and 3rd course but we adapted quickly. Some of us ordered the wings as our 2nd course and sadly the people next to us took the last of them. Between all of us we ordered the white pizza, fried chicken, and salmon as our 2nd course. Everyone had nothing but good to say about their meals. For our 3rd courses we ordered the New York strip and the duck breast. Each New York strip came out in its own unique presentation and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their 3rd course. The service was great and the waiter was always on top of things. I've only had brunch here, but the space is very nice, service was great, and the food & drink was good. Looking at the menus, it may be a bit high priced for Morgantown but the location right on the river is great and for the quality of food it seems comparable to any other good scratch kitchen across the country. Having a chef is always more expensive than just reheating prepared Sysco food but it's certainly worth it for me. Very well done Table 9 (other than the name, which is kind of generic), and for anybody who reads the review about using canned biscuits I can attest to having a biscuit and it was clearly house made. I have eaten here a few times and every time the food is delicious! The staff was very kind and let me sit outside on the back patio with my dog. Their fish tacos- are to die for! Their house dressing was also delicious. Highly recommend it. Only thing i had to complain about is the prices. Yes the flavor and food itself is amazing, but i ordered the steak and got a tiny piece of meat with a few little potatoes. This was not enough to fill me up and was not worth the price. Maybe some wait staff had gone home as the gal behind the bar was tending to us. I'm not sure what Bloody Mary mix they use but yuck. Had another gal return it and several minutes later was asked if I'd like something else. I ordered eggs Benedict which came as burned muffins with crumbled bacon, undercooked eggs and maybe a tablespoon of sauce? If you're out of ham, sauce or whatever PLEASE tell me and offer something else!I would've returned it but that would've required another walk to the bar to interrupt our "server" and there seemed to be a pretty good party at the bar where everyone would appreciate my SECOND complaint. My THIRD walk to the bar had me asking for my tab, getting the drink and food off the bill. $20 with a tip. Horrible customer experience. read more

Most of our party were satisfied with the food quality. Meals are priced 20-25% higher than Michelin star restaurants in DC. No value. Not surprising to see most tables having appetizers instead of meals. Wine BTG severely overpriced for offerings. If you want to charge $12/glass for wine, why use grocery store offerings? No imagination at all on the BTG menu and little on the BTB, though it is at least priced correctly. No option for pre-meal salad, no bread offered or delivered. Service was mediocre. No one checked on us after food delivery for 15 minutes. Too late to correct issues. Restaurant is beautiful, but it looks like no one does any type of a pre shift look around. Bathroom not clean, bag of potting soil in the middle of the lobby, dirty glasses on tables. I'm not sure what their vision is for the restaurant. I don't think they know either. read more

Table 9 does not serve food from at least 3pm to 4pm (or later?) on Saturdays. When you say 10am-10pm, people assume that means they can order within that window. I went on the night of their soft opening with several friends and between us all we tried pretty much all the choices on the menu. Pricing was not an issue that night because it was sort of a $20 tasting menu. My favorites were the pan fried ricotta, devils horseback (bacon wrapped dates), seared salmon, and the sautéed apples pound cake. The cocktails weren't as strong as I like them but still tasty. I was pleased to see the creativity of the dishes. And can tell this place has great potential. I'm hoping when it's up a running they'll start a weekend brunch with cocktails. Seems like the perfect place for it. I do feel something is missing in terms of the atmosphere. Can't quite put my finger on it though. The experience starts on a nice Friday evening In April first warm night in a while. The place was nice when waiting on table but the glass windows in waiting area all dirty.we were seated near the back of the bar . By the kitchen Door. Big mistake. 2 hours of yelling as they went in the kitchen . This was there cue so they did not run into each other.. Great unpretentious foodie restaurant in Morgantown! We were very pleasantly surprised. The 5 of us were very comfortable in this place, even though we had been working all day, and were in snow suits and burner attire. (fuzzy cat hats etc) Almost everything that we ate, we just said WOW this is really good. The roasted brussel sprouts were perfectly crispy and tangy, the Devils on Horseback with dates and pepper jam were so great! Just wish they had a bit more in the appetizer portion, only 4 of them, and there 5 of us. The fried pickles were adored by all, though I think they had a bit too much breading. The scallops dish was very tasty, but be warned, there were only 2 on the plate. The butternut risotto, was only so-so. It had tiny cubes of butternut squash, and wasn't super flavorful. My husbands hanger steak was probably my favorite. Cooked to perfection and the spices and juiciness just made us keep saying, "This is so good!" with each bite. The waiter was knowledgeable and fun, and there were some great cocktails and wine selections. Overall, definitely a place we would like to revisit, and we kept telling people the next few days how surprised we were to find a foodie place like this in Morgantown. read more

Coming from the The Washington D.C. area, table 9 is a restaurant I love to eat at when i visit Morgantown WV. The restaurant has a very modern minimalist style and it reminds me RVA. Enough about that, let's talk bout the chicken and waffles I had. I wanted to try table 9's chicken and waffles at Brunch since, Iron Horse Tavern's chicken and waffles is.... Man was it a great choice the chicken is perfectly breaded and the waffles are great and you get a large portion of food. I will say table 9 is the spot to go to for brunch and lunch.
