Although we had good service, my salad was not as described. The flat breads were ok, but cheaper and better just down the street. The fried pickles were very greasy with their breading and then the aioli or sauce they drizzled over it was also heavy and fatty with no acid to cut the fat and heaviness. Nothing offensive but nothing memorable either. The bartender could've had a better attitude. She (I don't know her name because the she didn't introduce herself but instead approached our table and said, "Are we having anything other than water?") wasn't warm at all and only refilled our water and other beverages once. Food came out very slowly even though there were only two other tables in the restaurant with us (one of them already having their entrees). We waited about 40 minutes between our appetizers and entrees. Onto the food: 1. Braised pork belly: Pork belly itself was fantastic. Very tender and juicy. The salsa that came with it was just okay and they barely used any gochujang in the dish. 2. Baked ricotta: Absolutely bland. So bland that Gordon Ramsay would've thrown it on the floor. There was some kind of berry compote or jam and that did absolutely nothing to the dish. No flavor whatsoever. 3. Flank steak with bok choy and fried rice: Flank was cooked decently. Bok choy was just there. Fried rice was not fried; it felt more like an Asian-inspired risotto. Okay flavor but very sticky and mushy. 4. Lamb: Probably the best dish of our night. Cooked to perfection and the whipped potatoes were so creamy and buttery and delicious. The squash side was just meh. It felt like they just needed to add *something* to the dish and went with that. Overall just an okay experience. Disappointing because we were really excited to go here for our anniversary since we've had a great brunch experience but that didn't transfer over to dinner. This restaurant is a beautiful combination of fine cuisine and great views. Situated right on the river, Table 9 really has one of the best locations in Morgantown. If the weather is right, you must dine out on Table 9's cool and modern deck, an atmosphere that truly ups the dining experience. But the real star of the show is Table 9's yummy fare. We had a selection of appetizers that were more than enough for a meal. I had a plate of their oven roasted Brussels sprouts, which confirmed the fact Mom was right when said, "Eat your veggies." Nothing more to say here than these beauties were crunchy delights of goodness. We also had an order of their delicious Sriracha buffalo wings that were the perfect combination spice and sweetness. These wings were also very meaty, a far cry from the anorexic wings you often find in most restaurants. No, Table 9's wings are a feast and that is no exaggeration. What a cute place! Went to dinner with a few ladies from work while on a business trip. Had the opportunity to sit outside overlooking the river, which was really nice. Each of us ordered an appetizer so we could sample a few options. The corn Brûlée was a hit! The caramelized top was perfect and the texture underneath was impressive. Not too runny or too firm, but just delicious. Our second favorite was the Brussels sprouts. They were cooked and seasoned well, and the crisp flakiness of some of the edges was exactly what I was looking for! We also had the bacon wrapped dates (aka the devils on horseback) and the fried pickles, both tasty! 3/4 of us ordered the scallops with risotto and broccolini, and one ordered a burger. Dramatic change since my first visit --- apologies to the owner for not updating sooner. I've now been here 3 times since the rules have loosened up and have been very happy. I love the octopus app.... OKAY. UPDATE. returned for dinner (rather than last times brunch visit). 10x better and now I get what everyone was talking about! We got a nice bottle of wine with dinner out on their patio (which was lit up at might- so cute!). We got the devils on horse back (9/10), the pork belly (9/10- one of the better ones I've ever had because it wasn't overly fatty but actually had some meat to it!), and the Brussels (8.5/10- enjoyed the hollandaise sauce) to start. Entrees: we had lamb (9/10) and scallops over risotto (8.5/10- cooked perfectly but missing something to put it over the top flavor wise!). One of the places that keeps me coming back to Morgantown. I always visited here in college, mainly for brunch, with a beautiful waterfront view. It's hard to come by these gems in small towns. In regards to brunch, I always make sure to start with the parfait. Simple yogurt, accompanied with honey, fruit, and granola, make it filling enough for a meal or a starter with your party. Must have! For the main course, I always have tended to lean more on the omelet side, but have also had the avocado eggs benedict (super yum) and veggie sandwich. Each omelet comes with super yummy breakfast potatoes, mixed with onions and peppers (not spicy). Most recently, I tried the tomato omelette, with balsamic vinegar on top. I never thought of putting this on an omelet, but I was definitely impressed and will be adding this to my cooking list. Table 9 was always one of our favorite restaurants in Morgantown over the past 10+ years. We even held our son's college graduation party there. Unfortunately it is not the same. We stopped last week, got a table outside, and were immediately surprised at the look of the outdoor area. The sectional outdoor sofa and planters were gone, the tables need some major maintenance, and the deck just looks sad. We sat for 15 minutes without anyone coming to offer water or get a drink order, so we got up and left. Walked across the road to a new restaurant, and got excellent service and food. Tuesday night burger, bourbon and beer special hit the spot. Middle of the road bourbons and craft beers dress up some tasty burgers. Oh and don't fill up on the crispy Brussels sprouts! Ohhhhh heck noooooo, I haven't been this upset about food in awhile, not the taste or quality but the quantity. Where the heck is the food? Look at the pics. No complimentary bread or salad. My fiance ordered the hanger steak, might as well be called the hangry steak. Look at it, what is that about 3oz of meat, my lamb had about 3 bites, no sides no anything just look at it. Bringing out the dessert menu talking about, Did you leave any room? Lol, how about we are leaving here to go to another restaurant to eat, seriously. Nice spot with a good view and brunch to die for! Try the Benedict, a few people in our party got it and it was great.

I ate here three days ago and I'm still annoyed by my experience. I don't know if I was expecting more from Table 9 or what but the whole thing was lackluster. A group of sorority sisters and I were in town for a mini reunion and stopped here for brunch. Tip--don't be a brunch amateur, make a reservation! They aren't on Open Table but you can call in and easily get in. There were nine of us and our server was friendly but she seemed to get flustered anytime someone moved or when we asked for separate checks when we first sat day. She muttered at least three times how she could do it but it would take a long time which I found odd because it's a college town and surely we weren't the first people to ask for separate checks. It was perplexing. As for the food, I was disappointed by the menu. There was a decent selection but nothing really stood out which is odd because I love brunch and easily get excited my brunch items. They have a few hashes, omelets, sandwiches and such. The special of the day was a lamb chorizo hash which sounded amazing but after waiting a long time for our food, fell completely flat. It was a) cold b) had bones in the hash c) lacked flavor d) potatoes not cooked all the way through. I tried to find our server but couldn't so sucked it up and finished it. We waited and waited and when we were all done she was asking how everything was which was a moot point since we then needed our checks that would take forever to get. Add them being out of hot water for awhile which resulted in no tea or coffee plus a broken bathroom stall and this was forgettable at best. A little overrated and maybe it just thinks it's another edgy metropolitan restaurant but you can only charge a lot of money for small delicate portion sizes if the place can live up to the name and the taste triumphs. This place does not. Went here for brunch and honestly it was underwhelming. The brunch prices aren't horrible ($10-$14) but I know their regular menu can be ridiculous. Eggs Benedict with sous vide egg?? No reason to sous vide an egg on an Eggs Benedict other than make it sound fancy. Sure the yolks were golden and runny but the eggs itself couldn't hold shape like a traditional poached egg. The whites were weirdly watery and overall like I said absolutely no reason to sous vide an egg for this dish. The Hollandaise was thinned out and lacked that classic thickness. The English muffin and ham were fine. The hash that came on the side was bland and lacked salt. My friend had chicken and waffles and it was slightly better than the Eggs Benedict. The chicken was crispy and tender and the waffle was actually pretty good with a twist of cinnamon in the batter I believe. However, the waffle was limp and I could tell it was left out for a while before being served to us. The only redeeming aspect of this brunch was the drinks. The classic orange mimosa was delicious and the ginger spritzer was good too. But keep in mind each of these drinks cost as much as my meal ($8-$11). Not worth it. I don't even know what a gastropub is...I mean, why would you put the word "gas" in your description if you are a restaurant? Maybe it means that the food is supposed to be amazing...because it was. Funny how you can be in West Virginia, hours away from Philadelphia, and find food this creative, delicious and well thought out. Between the two of us, we had a fresh watermelon, feta, strawberry and basil salad. Plus really good fried green tomatoes with an aioli. Then my sis had a beet salad and I had fried chicken on a siracha, honey and ranch mixture. This was the best fries chicken I have ever had a restaurant!!! Food is always incredible, service is improving but still huge issues with availability of the restaurant. The hours aren't updated on any application and only posted on the door. Last time we went to eat at Table 9 they shut down early on Friday night because of a private party the next day and kitchen was closed by 9:00 pm. It's a real moving target to know if they'll be open, really frustrating and we've stopped trying to figure it out. Very neat restaurant with good food and service along with great views and a patio on the river. We were passing by Morgantown during an 8 hr. car ride and wanted to go somewhere that was dog friendly and had good food - we found both at Table 9. We sat on the patio during a weekday lunch so it was as not busy but we had great service and food. I definitely recommend their Sriracha Buffalo chicken wings (pic. Included), they were very good! We also had a Cuban sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, fries, and a salad. Everything was good and they have a great wine and beer selection. Definitely recommend this spot. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for a celebratory dinner and it was an all around great experience! The atmosphere of Table 9 is relaxed and inviting, quiet yet bustling, the perfect mixture of formal and casual. Being on the water in the Wharf District is really transportive and certainly makes you feel like you're in a bigger city than Morgantown. We started off by ordering a few cocktails. Our waitress initially brought me the wrong drink but quickly corrected it and offered to comp the incorrect one, which I was pleased with because they were both delicious! We ordered the brussel sprouts to start and they were crispy, creamy and soooo flavorful. For an entrée, I had the feature which was the char, hush puppies, fennel salad, remoulade and fried onions. It was seriously the best fish I think I've ever had! Cooked to perfection and a good portion size. My boyfriend had the salmon with the sun-dried tomato cream cheese , green beans, and potatoes and enjoyed it as well. All in all, we will definitely be returning and bringing family and friends for any sort of special occasion. I'd love to come back and try brunch, too. Highly recommend Table 9! read more
