Loved this place! Modern feel, delicious fine dining and great variety. The small plates really work if you like to sample different foods! I had the soft shell crab on grits, bean quesadilla, and crab dip - shared with my boyfriend. It was a perfect light meal to make room for an amazing key lime pie we had for dinner. I'm really struggling to understand all of these glowing reviews. Maybe we got the kitchen on a bad night, but our experience with it was overpriced and aggressively mediocre. Cocktails were mostly water. The bread in the bread basket tasted like frozen pre-packaged dinner rolls. The only seasoning in the sauce of my lobster ravioli was salt, and way too much at that, and the shrimp on top was over cooked and rubbery. My partner ordered the crab-stuffed Mahi and the filling was just crab dip, the same crab dip they serve as an appetizer (which we also got and it was the one thing we enjoyed). The rice they served with his fish tasted like straight up Uncle Ben's. All of it had that taste that food gets when it's cooked on a grill that hasn't been cleaned in too long. At a price point of $25-$45 an entree it's NOT worth it, plus we waited an hour for a table. It's a shame because the ambiance inside is nice and the waitstaff was also very nice, and the quality of the fish they served was also good. But the frozen and packaged sides (or at least the fact that they tasted like frozen and packaged sides) for those prices is irredeemable. Also they really need to season their food. read more

We went for an early dinner and were seated and served quickly. The food here is a little pricey, but it was all tasty and flavorful. I had the Lobster Ravioli, which was especially good. We have been before COVID and the first weekend it had opened after restrictions were lifted. Right after the lifting , service was great, atmosphere was excellent, food was above average. We went last night as a party of 2 and were put 2nd on a list then waited 38 minutes even though many came out. We then only had to wait 15 minutes for water and menus. Our waitress visited 2 other small tables so I wouldn't think 3 tables was overburdening her; she certainly did not hover by any stretch. The noise from the piped in music was so loud, conversation was difficult. The meal was served hot but took over 30 minutes, so I assume the kitchen was backlogged. If this were our first visit, it would have been our last. I imagine we will give it another try, but if the experience isn't better, we won't be regulars. read more

Best filet mignon I've had in a long time! My wife had lobster ravioli which was equally good. From the apps to the salad, to the bread, to the entree, to the drinks, to the dessert! The food was fantastic, every bite, but was outdone by first our bartender then our waiter Jamie! He was fabulous and made the meal from start to finsh! Perfectly attentive, but not overbearing, friendly, polite, and efficient. This was the perfect meal served by a GREAT waiter. Nice place as we ordered take out. Inside looked really nice with table clothes and lit candles on each table. We ordered a couple of appetizers to go. One was clam chowder, excellent by the way. So was the crab dip. Also ordered ice tea drink. When the food came out we asked for spoons...they don't have any. Strange. We were so shocked about the lack of utensils that we left without the drink. $3.50. When we got back to the hotel, I called about 4 times for them to credit that back to me but they did not answer the phone. Just another establishment with poor customer service. read more

Just opened a month and a half ago. We got there right at 5, so there was no wait. Menu was short but sweet. Interior is very nice with bar, oyster bar, wine tasting bar, and restaurant seating. We got mussels, tuna with scallops and crab cakes. Was very very good. They are pricey but worth it. It was busy with a wait when we were leaving. I don't post many reviews but!!! Ordered the ribeye medium rare. Steak came out well done, mashed potato was cooked at 5:00 and at 8:300 were not fit to eat. Asparagus was over cooked I did not send back and struggled through my meal. For $40 plus tip I could have eaten at Monkey Bar two times and would have been much happier First impression for first time eating here was not good. I had a steak on my last visit and it was one of the best I've ever had. My wife has celiacs disease and it's sometimes a challenge finding restaurants willing or able to accommodate dietary restrictions. Interesting place. The food was good. Our friends liked their dishes...Wahoo and Shrimp Rockefeller and Mahi Oscar. Two non-seafood eaters had the burgers and although nothing special they were good as well. I had the clam chowder which was interesting if nothing else. A scoop of mashed potatoes with the chowder on top. There was lots of bacon and call me crazy I swear there was crab as well ( which I am not a fan of). I found it salty but I am not a salt lover so that is probably just me. Wait staff was fine, even though this was our first time you could definitely tell who the favored customers were. We were very excited to see this place open up on the Crystal Coast! The first time we went we were very pleased with the menu and the 2nd time we dined it was still very consistent and delicious. Their complimentary bread is very fresh and the olive oil they serve to dip it in is amazing--in fact we had to make a special trip to Beaufort Olive Oil Company while visiting to pick up a couple of bottles. This time we started with some delicious briny oysters on the half shell served with fresh horseradish. My 13 yr old son is a tuna lover and ordered the seared tuna steak. I had to snag a piece and it was absolutely delicious--very fresh, right off the boat! I had the plump dry seared scallops cooked to perfection and my husband had the Mahi Oscar--he didn't do much talking and his plate was clean so I can only assume it was good! My teenage daughter is not a fan of seafood so she went with the burger--she said the chipotle aioli made it awesome. Service was impeccable and we hope to return one day! read more

We had an excellent meal here this evening. First of all, love the decor, very classy. Great wine and cocktail list. Apps were so good - crab dip and calamari. Two of us had the chef's choice pork belly and scallops and one the OBX seafood pasta. Great choices. Sadly no room for dessert! This is not your typical beachy casual dining - expect finer dining prices. However, it's not stuffy so we didn't feel underdressed in more casual clothing. Great choice! read more

I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp that came with rice and zucchini. I wish there were more than 3 zucchini's because it was banging. My fiancé order the crab cakes, he wasn't a fan of the sauce though. We were blown away by the service and the food. The salmon was maybe the best I've had. Our server knew not only the menu but described the specials in a way that drew you a visual picture. You can tell the staff takes tremendous pride in their work. She also wore her mask the entire time. Salt scrub in the bathroom was the cherry on top. I am posting this negative review for the second time because it was "mysteriously" removed the first time... I was so excited to go here for my birthday, but my experience was less than celebratory. I'm only giving them one star because the option of 0 stars isn't available. - I came in and was immediately seated but that was the extent of the positivity. - I waited 10:32 seconds before somebody brought water out to my table. Once the water was brought to my table, I didn't see anybody else until 12 minutes later. Lets keep in mind that everybody else was being brought fresh bread and water the entire time I wasn't being served. - Finally, our drink order was taken, and we didn't get those drinks or see anybody else until 8 minutes later. At this time I figured, let me get my appetizer and entree order in because who knows when i'll see somebody else AND unfortunately, I was right. - My app arrived. we finished it and nobody came to clear our table or anything. I had to flag somebody down for them to take our plates. We finally had somebody come and ask to take our entree order (which we already gave) - there was no telling when we would get our order, so I asked to pay for whatever we ordered thus far and we would close our bill out without getting our entree. I explained the situation to the gentleman and he cut me off immediately and told me that I needed to speak to the manager - THE MANAGER NEVER CAME OUT. The waitress came out and said she got caught up in the dinner rush. I requested the manager again, and the manager never came out. - I ended up having to leave the restaurant, call in and leave my name and number at the front in order for the manager to contact me. My suggestion - if you want good service and a great experience this is not the place for you. if you feel like .. you just want to go to "table 9" because you heard it's a great place to have good seafood ... and service doesn't matter to you in the slightest - by all means go in and waste your time and money. If you value the overall experience, great service, good food- please go eat elsewhere. Certainly do not make the mistake of trying to go here for a celebratory meal like I did. read more

This is our absolute favorite place to eat in both Atlantic Beach and Morehead. No other restaurant can touch the quality of food or impeccable service. Everything we have had from charbroiled oysters, ahi tuna, crab stuffed mahi and house drinks has been fabulous- on every visit. This IS the place to go to when you visit the beach-- but go early in your visit because once will not be enough. Today we arrived and they weren't open yet. The owner saw us leaving and came out to stop us. He invited us in for a drink to wait until they opened. Just another example of the 5 star service we receive on every visit. Had dinner at Table 9 last evening with friends. Heard some good things and wanted to check it out. Everything we ordered was spectacular. We started off with the fried zucchini and the strawberry salad. Fried zucchini can often go terribly wrong but these were fried very delicately and it was a large serving. The fish dishes however were the standout of the evening. We ordered the crab stuffed mahi and the snapper special. Both fishes were cooked perfectly and the accompanying sauces and sides complemented both fishes. Will definitely be returning and recommending to others. read more

Table 9 is a new restaurant in Atlantic Beach. Our party of four ate there Monday 5/22/2017 "by accident" b/c another restaurant had a 2 hour wait. Everything was delicious! We started with excellent mixed drinks, beer and shrimp taco apps. The shrimp tacos were fabulous! My husband had the Mahi Mahi and I had the Grouper with Bearnaise and Crabmeat topping. Both entrees were terrific. Our meal was so good that we returned on Wednesday 5/24/2017 entirely "on purpose". We added dessert that evening and the Creme Brulee and Triple Chocolate Cheesecakes were excellent. We are so happy to find another attractive and sophisticated restaurant in Atlantic Beach close to our condo. The waitstaff were friendly and personable. read more

Table 9 is a new restaurant in Atlantic Beach, NC located in Atlantic Station Shopping Center. The owner/chef is from Red Fish Grill in Morehead City. The menu is similar. They have an oyster bar and a full bar plus individual seating throughout the restaurant, which is decorated nicely. The service was very good, and the drinks had a good pour. It is nice to have another good place to eat in Atlantic Beach. The price is on the somewhat expensive side, but you get what you pay for. They have a private lot for parking that is plenty big. It's not the best restaurant in the area, but good. I gave it 4 stars because it has only been open for one week and deserves the benefit of any doubt. If I could give half stars I would give it 3 1/2 stars, but it is better than a 3 star rating, so I gave it 4 stars. They are only open for dinner from 5 to 10 pm and they don't take reservations. read more

Had a good experience the first time I dined here (party of 2), but obviously seating a party of more than 4 is a problem. My second experience here was absolutely awful, We actually walked out after waiting almost 90 minutes to be seated (party of 6). While i no longer work in the restaurant business, I have in the past so I can say that the hostess clearly had no idea what she was doing. We watched countless parties of 2-5 come in after us and get seated almost immediately (including seating smaller parties where tanked could have been pushed together to accommodate our party. After seating another party at the oyster bar we were offered awkward seating arrangements at the oyster bar also. Needless to say we should have stuck out the 90 minute wait we passed on at our first choice. Side note, there was a man walking around with a glass of wine that was management? owner?...... frequently checking in with the hostesses that also showed no concern at the pure lack of customer service for their guests. read more
