We had an amazing evening with friends- great food and service! I recommend ordering the tuna- awesome rare!

This used to be our favorite restaurant in the area but it's been very disappointing this season. They changed the menu taking off the only chicken option (the Caribbean chicken and shrimp which was delicious). We used to love the pork belly and scallops as well but this year the grits were cold and flavorless and the pork belly was pretty much all fat. We tried a special which was short rib thinking it would be around the price of the other red meat options ($42-44). We were shocked to find it was $58 (and really subpar for that price). I don't know what happened but unfortunately this won't be on our weekly rotation like it was in previous summers. read more

What a great place. I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. Certainly more upscale dining, but with a laid back vide. The staff is always great and the food is excellent. There is always a very good special for the night, but the regular menu items are what keep me coming back. Really nice atmosphere with massive communal bar as the focal point. I have been there on business and just to have a meal on my own and it is a nearly perfect place for both. There is always a decent draft beer selection and the wine menu is solid. It doesn't have the water views like many of the restaurants in Moorehead City, but the food, service and atmosphere make up for it. Highly recommend. read more

Today is Memorial Day Monday and their website indicates they're open. However when we got there a sign on the door said they were closed. There was a group on the patio that had a reservation for an anniversary party! I felt so sorry for those folks. The restaurant didn't let them know they were not going to open tonight. Ok, so I'm updating this because we went back again tonight, and I'll be damned if they didn't top it. Food was even better this time around, and I didn't really think there was much of a chance of them topping my internal 4.75 star rating. Table 9 is a lovely restaurant with a friendly vibe. The low evening lighting and single candles on each table create a warm ambiance. Our server was really wonderful, so spot on with her service, polite, and friendly. All the servers looked to be like that which creates a positive feeling throughout the restaurant. The menu was not overly exciting but each dish was served according to its description. The only complaint is that the grits served with the pork belly/scallop entree were tasteless. On the other hand, the desserts were very good, the lemon cake and cheesecake. We would definitely return on our next visit to Atlantic Beach. read more

Our experience tonight was absolutely unacceptable. I came in with a party of 5 plus a small child (under 2 years old). We were seated at 7 PM. We placed our order around 7:30. We saw around 4-5 tables get their food BEFORE us and they came in and were seated AFTER we had arrived. We waited around 45 minutes and had only just received THREE out of the FOUR salads we ordered. We asked the waitress and all she said is that the entrees were "coming soon". When is soon???? We asked for the manager because it had been almost an hour and we had not received any entrees. He was very disrespectful. I did not feel like he cared about how upset we were and he kept telling us that we hadn't been actually waiting as long as we said. He then informed us that our order had been put in at 8:01 PM. That's THIRTY MINUTES after we had actually ordered. The manager walked away and NEVER CAME BACK!!! NEVER!! The waitress finally brings our food, our child is crying at the table - what the f*ck? One of our friends didn't even get the oysters that we ordered. Are you kidding me The WORST PART is that you MADE US PAY FOR EVERYTHING!!! Nothing given to us for free - no percentage off of our food!! Are you serious?? The manager DIDN'T EVEN COME BACK TO OUR TABLE. No apologies ?!?! This is absolutely terrible customer service. I would be embarrassed to work here. I have been a waitress, bartender, and a manager at restaurants; I would NEVER handled this situation like this. It's UNACCEPTABLE. The fact that you treated us like this and there was no remorse or attempt to resolve our issues is ridiculous. The manager should be fired. The waitress lied and was not honest that she either A) forgot about our order or B) gave our order to a wrong table. I demand some type of refund be given to us. 254 dollars for shitty service and take out food? We left a tip and your restaurant DID NOT deserve it. read more

Oh I LOVED this place!!! From the outside of the restaurant to the inside, the vibe was perfect. What a great spot to spend Valentine's Day! We came with a couple of friends of ours and sat at the bar until our table was ready. At the bar we enjoyed the old-fashioned with chocolate bitters and a delicious seared ahi tuna appetizer and our friends had a bourbon sour and some perfectly fried calamari. Some of the best calamari I've ever had! Once our table was ready we were escorted back where our server immediately took our drink orders where I then tried the blueberry mule that I highly recommend! I ordered the lamb chops and double vegetables which were green beans and zucchini. My other half had the pork chops and scallops sitting on a bed of cheesy grits. I wish I had of taken pictures!!! I understand COVID. I appreciate what all restaurant staff are doing during this tough time. It's the main reason we called for pick up. DO NOT ATTEMP PUCK UP HERE! Food was ample and quick. Seated right away. Kayla was an excellent server. Presentation was excellent. However I had scallops which were gritty, every one of them. And not just a grain or two but a lot. My father had scallops in his dish and he said his were too. For a $29 price that is unacceptable. read more

Food was good as always. The disappointment was that servers were not all wearing masks and those that were wearing them were pulling them down and aside whenever they could. I know that masks are Uncomfortable and inconvenient. Unfortunately, we need them to keep us safe. read more

We came in for a vacation and wanted to venture to a restaurant for a good dinner. The reviews were good so we chose this restaurant. We were very disappointed in the nearly non-existent precautions they were implementing to be safe from spreading the Coronavirus. While tables did appear to be spread out more than they normally would be, the bar area was fully seated to capacity. Most of the waitresses had masks, but had them pulled down under their chins. I asked ours to put hers on, and she did, but it never fully covered her face. None of the bartenders even bothered to wear a mask. People were crowding into the door, and there were no signs or markings to keep people apart. They were not utilizing the outdoor seating area at all. Seemed like a missed opportunity. We almost decided to leave but since we were seated we stayed for the meal. Now to the food and drinks. We ordered cocktails, which were very good and fairly priced. My wife had the special, which was a mild flaky fish, similar to trigger fish but I can't remember the name, with risotto and Brussels sprouts. She thought it was tasty but the risotto was covered with a creamy sauce that wasn't necessary, and the Brussels sprouts were under-seasoned but firm and OK. I had the sriracha blackened salmon which was cooked very nicely, but there was very little blackening and not a lot of spicy flavor. I also had the Brussels sprouts along with wild rice. The rice was bland and not at all exciting, and I agreed with my wife that the Brussels sprouts were adequate but nothing special. Overall, we felt that this meal was one we could have made better at home than what we were served. And for the cost of the meal, about $90 with a standard tip, we thought it should have been better. And with the complete disregard for safety during a pandemic, we will not return and don't recommend that anyone else does while the virus is still spreading. read more

From the outside, you would never expect the class of this place when you walk inside. We arrived shortly after opening and had a whole section to ourselves. We learned quick that was luck, because the seating filled up within the next 30 minutes. Our server was very helpful and attentive. I had a wonderful time here. The menu is concise and doesn't overwhelm you with choices. Each dish was well seasoned and in good portions, although a bit pricey. Service was excellent and the atmosphere has dark, sophisticated tones. This is a good spot for seafood as well as other classic favorites, such as the Caesar Salad and Zucchini fries. I found the need to edit my review...we went again last night and the food was much better. The twirling hair hostess however was true to past form. Original review.... Lets start with the hair twirling hostess that greets you with a bothered look when walk in the door. Not only does she yell through the phone like she doesn't realize she's getting paid to answer it, she seems annoyed that people come through the door. Not sure if it's a millennials thing, or if she truly is that stressed each time I've come here. The food quality has declined since the restaurant's opening, which is sad as I've really talked up the place. I'm pretty sure they serve day old bread in the bread basket. If not for the many choices of Mules available, specifically the pirate mule, I wouldn't keep coming back. Even after 3 of those mules, the Mahi Oscar was not very palatable. One can only hope that the quality improves as there are so few good restaurants in the area and the other restaurants that the owner of table 9 runs seem more consistent. ........ Updated ... Again the hostess was true to the past review. We were told that we would have to wait 45-60 mins but much to her dismay we said no problem and we'd wait. About 20 mins later we had our table. Been in the food industry for YEARS , this place here was one of the BEST meals my wife and I have ate in a LONG time ! Started with the Crab dip and pita points , if I must say the crab was lost in the dip , BUT the dip was creamy and rich I would say 6 out of 10 ,, BUT THE DINNER ENTREES --We had the Seared tuna (rare) and pork belly w/ seared scallops NEEDLESS to say DELICIOUS !! Definitely recommend!!!! Ended with creme brûlée cheesecake that was phenomenal as well !If you're in the area, don't drive by !!!! Stop in and enjoy the abundance of flavors !!! read more

I will start off saying that this is not somewhere you should go if on a budget. We tried a lot of different things because it was our first time here. We also tried the fish bites and zucchini fries; no complaints. For our entrees, we ordered oysters, the ribeye, and the burger. The oysters (Rockefeller and Charbroiled) were great but one had a little sand still in it. The steak melted in my mouth. It was perfectly made. My husband loves the burger. Summary: Great new place for dining. Still working out the new establishment kinks but will be great. The remodel to the place was done well, great atmosphere! Recommend for a nice evening out. We went to dinner with the kids during the week of the fourth. Was busy all week and we were able to get a table later in the week without much wait. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We ordered the oysters Rockefeller as a starter and kids meals to come with them. They were very good but a little cold. Probably a timing issue to coordinate with the kids pizza. Was likely a new staff kink that will work itself out. We got the mahi oscar and Wahoo & shrimp Rockefeller specials. Both were fantastic. Again there was a bit of a coordination issue with in the kitchen that I'm sure will will work out, the mahi was a bit cold, wahoo perfect. I saw some reviews indicating portions were small. We got portions that one would expect from a nice restaurant. If you are looking for giant hungry grub out portions a more casual restaurant may be the choice for the night. read more

It was a quiet night for Table 9, as there were only 2 other parties in the restaurant with us. So we couldn't truly get a taste of the atmosphere but what we did get was very laid back, dim light and candlelit dinner. It was an overall lovely fancy dinner with outstanding service by our waitress and hostess. Now on to the good stuff, We started out with a delicious crabmeat cheese dip served with bread and chips. The bowl it was in came out sizzling hot and made for an attractive plate. The cheese was cooked and burnt perfectly with a slight crisp, there was not too much crab meat but just enough to have a piece in every bite. We would dip but also spread it on some of the bread. My fiancé and I had every piece of this appetizer so we decided to share the Steamed Plate (huge amount of food). This plate has all the delicious popular seafood items you look for when at the Carolina coast and it didn't disappoint. It included crab legs, shrimp, oysters, and clams all steamed perfectly. Even though it was a pretty penny for the appetizer and steamed plate we could not have been more pleased. Thank you for the awesome service, food, and a quiet environment. We have been to Bogue island for many years and have eaten at most of the local restaurants from Emerald Isle to Beaufort. Today, We had an excellent dinner at Table 9 in Atlantic Beach, NC. The service was quick and the food is excellent. Our table enjoyed several selections, Caribbean chicken and shrimp, lamb chops, and seared tuna. We rated them all a 10. We saw people running food from kitchen to table who were clearly confused and had to keep asking the hostess where to take the plates. Slightly confusing menu, with the NC seafood not clearly separated from the other items. We ordered drinks, which never arrived, and had to ask for them to be removed from the bill. Mashed potatoes were dry, bland, and gummy. The good: scallops were cooked well, with a very tasty sauce. However, I would expect a side salad with an entree of that price. Overall: overpriced, inexperienced and chaotic service makes this a miss. I think this place has potential, and hope they train their staff in the future! read more
